Man it was so much fun doing 24 recaps and now that I have a DVR I would, but I lost interest in that show too. I can't wait to see how close I am to the actual story...

Havent seen this show since mid season 2 but wild guess about first episode without knowing anything about last season finale. Claire is in a new town trying to be a normal teenager/cheerleader and she meets someone that has power. She's currently estranged from her dad because he did something horrible but really it was to save her and her family. Peter finds a clue that might lead him to his brother who is miraculously alive despite everyone thinking he was killed in the finale. Matt Parkman is trying to have a normal life as a cop/security guard/secret agent when a girl he runs into won't let sleeping dogs lie. Suresh had finally given up on finding up clues to his dad's death and the mystery of mutants but stumbles on assassins that pull him back in because he must warn all the heroes. Hiro and sidekick are desperatley trying to get back to where they should be in time but something is keeping them where they are not suppose to be. Sylar is on the run but can't help blowing his cover because of his thirst to kill Heroes. Out there is probably a baby/child/deranged comatose that is the key to the latest danger. Annoying synthetic Indian music still is the one note BGM never changing pace for action or touching dialogue scene.

No... they don't care about the story... All the company wants is the name. It's all about franchising the nostalgia with the small built in audience to the people that love to jump on the wagon. Make no mistake. If WB wants to make this movie, they'll get it done. Regardless of licensing issues, copyrights, or ownership.... whatever is released is what HG has to deal with and HG will do it happily. Even if it's a bomb. People on these boards are assuming that they are trying to make this movie while trying to keep the integrity of Macross. Well... even when Hollywood has every right to do a license correctly they choose not to. The only reason you saw an Iron Man and Hulk that was that close to source was because Marvel decided to do it themselves... but as far as Robotech, where so far from the source, you shouldn't be dreaming about anything close to the Macross Saga. You'll get names and thats about it.

IF Yamato ever does a Legioss/Tlead, it would blow away Toynami/Aoshima's version. Because they're such sticklers to lineart detail, articualtion and ingenuity. Which is pretty much where the Beagle got it's principle while making it's ride armor.

its funny because Toynami lists their Alphas and Betas at 1/55 but Aoshima lists their Legioss and Tlead at 1/48... exact same toy... of course at 1/55 Robotech collectors will think it's in scale with their Masterpiece Veritechs. I'd much rather see a 1/32 scale Legioss of course that would put the Tlead at 12 inches in length and with a wimgspan of close to 2ft. I'd still buy it though. Yamato can price it similarly to their Patlabor toy.

I'm sure Yamato had their eyes set on Mospeada for a long time now. But maybe the whole HG vs. BW thing is a bit touchy, which is why the guy that designed the Beagle Mospeada had to leave Yamato to get his Cyclone manufactured. That design on the Beagle is certainly Yamatoesque. And Yamato has pretty much hit every other 80s mecha including Patlabor and BGC, there's got to be a reason why they shied away from GCM... But like you said, anything can happen and if it does I'm down for it...

I would buy every macross bluray if they were official... even Macross 7.

but is there anything legally keeping them from adding english subs? I mean they know a lot of these DVDs find their way abroad. They can just take the stance that it's just for Japan but still release it... I dont get why they just don't take advantage. I'm downloading subs when I can be buying actual DVDs.
