Titanic is the Most Profitable movie ever made (as far as seen by today's Hollywood suits) you can argue that it's Gone with the Wind or Star Wars but by todays' standards and recent trends all the execs are trying to repeat Titanic's numbers. No one is gonna sink (excuse the pun) $500,000,000 into one single movie and put Aliens or Terminator on the poster. As far as they are concerned everyone knows Cameron from seeing Titanic because everyone in the world has seen Titanic.

It is added to the show, for what matter I'm don't know but I was calling it a raings booster attempt. It's funny because I'm not into Transformers but the ones I do collect are the ones mentioned here because they remind me the most of the Yamato Macross Toys. I have the MP-1 and every MP in fact except Grimlock... I really don't see theupgrade except in size. And I have BT's and Alts because they vehicle mode is so close to the actual cars and the bot mode are so comparable to their G1 versions. I think they are good toys, I still prefer my Yammies.

I think it's you that missed his point. The fact is they made transformers that had the detail and close to line accuracy that Yamato toys had and in the end they had similar problems. And to make valks as sturdy as your stansard Transformers they would end up much less line accurate as the general Macross fans desire. The closest you'll get to valks designed similarly to Transformer toys are the 1/55s and the first 1/60s VF-1s. Personally I haven't had much trouble to the Yamato VF-1s that I have bought. The only one that I'm really unhappy with are the YF-19s. But given the choice I would pick Yamato's manufacturing style over any other company's. My v.2 1/60 VF-1S hasn't had the shoulder fall apart. I suspect it will if I played with it enough, but it seems like that was a manufacturing defect that was easily fixed. It's just too bad that countless buyers already recieved theirs before discovering it.

OK... I'm all for a cheesy ninja movie (has there ever been a good one?) but McTeigue to take over the Superman franchise? barf! Why not just put ol' blue in a coffin with a big kryptonite rock and seal it with lead... so lame!

yeah... there's been tons of movies about Oddysseus (Trojan War and after) but none worth mentioning. Last one I saw was the Armand Assante TV one. He's actually a good pick for the character but the movie was just lacking. It doesn't have to be terribly good or does it have to be too fatihful but it at least has to define the adventure just like Harryhausen's Jason and the Argonauts and Clash Of The Titans does for it's story (as did his Sinbad Adventures)... no matter if it gets dated. But Troy just didnt do that for the Trojan War. Heck... I'm not a big fan of 300 but I think it defined the Battle of Thermopylae or at least put it on the film map. I saw the original movie but it was forgettable. I'm not sure if this new CotT will make the same impact. So far as others said it's looks more like it's suppose to cash in on 300s popularity.

I use to read a lot of Greek myth as a kid back then also, before the original came out. In all honesty, while they were exciting reads... They would have been boring movies. I recall that medusa was asleep when Perseus kills her and then Pegasus springs out of her head or something. And then not to mention all the bestiality in those stories. Lol. But for some reason. Hollywood somehow made a more boring version of the Trojan war and still hasn't made a good version of the the Oddesey. If anything I would have loved to see a trilogy Clash of the titans. And made a Theseus and Jason and the argonauts sequels. They're all basically in the same vein.
