Whoever had that idea of just including extra pins in every valk from now is excellent... don't feel like looking for the post but it seems like the best cheapest alternative. I know I won't mess with mine until I can find a suitable replacement for any of my valks with knurled tips.

Thanks for stamp of approval. I'm sure your credentials as an IT project manager will no doubt please Cameron, who's been to the bottom of the ocean and has experience with breathing apparatus. as witnessed in Blue Planet... Planet Earth (narrated by Sigourney Weaver) oh and 2005's Aliens Of the Deep by James Cameron.

No it wasn't a punch at people not liking the film, as always and as evident of the last two posts that is more about yourself than the movie, all you really want to talk about is yourself and skipped the other posts. The punch were for people that hated the film and Cameron before even seeing it. Something you can't deny, you just have to look at past posts and the fact you never really bothered watching the movie... As for Scientific plausability, first of all that's a pretty easy thing to say because you never have to prove that a planet like that can't exist and all the film needs as an excuse is that it doesn't have to, it's a FANTASY. Omegablue as for Pandora not having Oxygen, I think the article(yours?) is mistaken, Pandora has oxygen but due to the lower strength gravity it's not dense enough to sustains the humans. The part where Stephen Lang's character runs out of the control room is another unfathomable stretch but I guess it's meant to show his determination, but you'd think his heartrate would cause him to breathe harder... again, suspension of disbelief.

it seems to me that everyone, including people that hate Cameron went to see the movie, or at least downloaded it and watched it several times. And that's not evena guess, it based on comments on this thread. Speaking of... Do you even know what that means? That's just one of those numbers that fanboys love to blurb about... Do you understand that you're comparing ticket sales from a movie thats been out since 1940? To a movie that's been out less than a month. Also, both movies have been released under different circumstances... number of movie houses, Home releases (meaning less follow up theatrical releases), population and worldwide tracking. I mean you just say whatever and pretend it matters. These 2 movies will never have anything to do with each other and never will.

Yeah that would be awesome. I'm looking at April for the first ground crew set to be ready. I want some sort of small vehicle to be the April exclusive bonus. Guess I'll start combing the lineart books.
-
Have you seen the special edition? The story is more solid with the parts that was unwittingly taken out.

I totally agree! On the most part. But I consider the Yamato VFs to be on par with models barring screw holes and maybe seam lines. But any good modeler can fix those issues. But ti answer OP, Hasegawa Vf-1s are not lineart accurate, they lean more towards real world detail. But the Frontier models are far more lineart accurate than the toys, so if thats what he's looking for then he should get those... also the Frontier models are transformable. If I was collecting Frontier VFs I would definitely get the models. I'm way excited about Hase's 1/48 line though.

Oops. Sorry Renato. That "you" in my last repsonse wasn't specifically you... I meant to start another paragraph. I guess I have to disagree about the 180 thing. Humans in this film already = technology. But it's still kinda moot because I'm not into the whole "ewoks beat the empire" or "hobbits beat the army of mordor" thing either. As for T: Salvation... that is insane!!! That movie was so bad and boring. That's what I meant about people are more apt to be harsher on Cameron becuse he DID direct Aliens and Terminator, that they're willing to forgive the trash that McG's movie is. And there's no way I would want another Terminator from Cameron... we've seen it. Even if Avatar wasn't to my liking I'd rather see another film that is different. Even I don't want to see an Avatar sequel. Maybe if it was written as a trilogy I'd be up for it but it seems like it's a done story. Just like Terminator 1 should have been. Again, I enjoyed T2, but it seemed to have made a mess of the first movie's continuity. That's the thing with Avatar and T2 as much as I want to complain about what it affects outside, the movies themselves are highly enjoyable and a treat to watch. It's OK Renato... like I said... I can consider your stabs valid because it's actually about the movie. Its the ones that were biased against the whole experience or against Cameron to begin with that I find kinda silly.
-
This was the one I was thinking of.
-
You hated the movie BEFORE you saw it, so your expectations were biased to begin with. I don't disprespect everyones opinion who hated the movie. But it seems kinda silly to go see a movie that's written, directed and produced by someone and come out surprised that it's dripping by their ideologies. And as if you've never seen a Cameron film before, they're almost all about technology vs. nature. What's the big surprise? Really? It took you this long to figure it out?
-
It seems fairly obvious that people that hated the film have one thing in common, some sort of personal dislike for Cameron first.

I'd usually agree but coming from you i'd think that comment was rather ironic... (The Alanis Morristte type ironic) -
I remember that set I think I bought it also. Don't remember. Maybe I'll copy the poses but make them look like UN Spacy personells. I'm not into the ones included with Destroids they seem like they are 1/72 scale. It'd be good to have a proper Macross ground crew.
-
thanks! There's definitely some ground crews sets planned. There's not a lot of line art based on them so I'm thinking I'll have to make them up based on real ground crews. Also, some that are meant to be in space. If there are any suggestions. I'll gladly take them.

Take it apart and see if there is anything misaligned.

Do you still need replacement shoulder hinges for your V.2 VF-1?

my Roy 1S is finally beginning to show some stress. -
Can we replace the pin before it starts to break? I haven't had any of the defective stock yet but I would want to avoid it.
-
After four hours I think you have to call a physician.
-
Hundreds, since they obviously plan on releasing more VF-1s with faulty shoulders. Great! This is the one V.2 I DID shell out for since I've been skippin most of them...

maybe he's just good quality control.... the last thing I want to see is a buffy version of Dragonriders. -
Ah cool. I knew right away that that wasn't the real Minmay. I like those paintings though.

Who acts like a child? Anyway, depending on the model I can't say it's more lineart accurate. I think Hasegawa has more of a real world feel to it but they add detail that is not lineart accurate on the VF-1s. As far as the VF-25s, I prefer the look of the 1/72 scale but then realized that the Messiah armor cannot be taken off so you can display it without. I think pricepoint is also part of the consideration. The detail on the Yamato products can compete with any model, unless screwholes and joints bother you.
