Therein lies a big, big problem. Because not only are the animation and designs dated, but a lot of the dialogue is, too. You could redesign everything to look ultra-sleek and modern, but if everyone's still talking like it's 1982, what're ya gonna do? If they did a re-animate... I'd like to see everthing the same... But if it's Macross the First then new everything would be more appopriate. I don't want to see anything but 'The First' though. I just love the consolidation and updates of the story. Did they update the dates on the manga? I can't be the same right? The VF-1 heads on those are awful though. Keep the original.

what are you talking about? I sense that people are genrally happy about it. A few discussion about scale... maybe it's just the way we look at posts.

That's what I meant also. The pilot figs are next. I just wanted to make sure those are the best of the bunch. So I'm doing them last. Depending on how these sets do, I might do some more. But I think this next set will finish off the line. But they'll look good standing next to the Yamato softbi line if it is indeed a line.

Ugh. Don't like McFarlane or Neca wanna be figure statues. Plus it'll be robotech if it was, which means it's never gonna happen because toynami has that cornered. I like those guys that make them awesome Final Fantasy figs. Well. Vinyl means I'm gonna make my own articulated figures. Was the $80 price point a joke or did I miss something?

Oh wow. I was just watching that episode. 8.8 inches is just right. If you watch him kick around hikarus valk. They stand at the same height. If it's vinyl then the articulation will be limited. The bad thing is that I've had extremely bad experiences with yamato and all their figures. My Appleseed figures crumbled at the joints. The bubblegum crisis figures are kinda loose and don't get me started with the crappy megazone Shogo. But if it's vinyl then it'll be a statue so. I guess it's moot. I was watching that episode because I was thinking of making 1/60 zents to go with my 1/60 crew. Now I guess I won't have to. Now I'll just wait. I do have one of those TRex soldiers coming. I'm not a big believer in scale when it comes to the aliens. The zentradi soldier Max knocked out to steal his uniform also happened to be as tall as a VF-1 battroid? That someone would be broker faster than you can say Beagle. MW's consensus doesn't even begin to matter in real world toy economics. There's only ever 30 people signed on at a time, pretty low compared to any other forums. Seriously... go check out TFW, Hisstank, He-Man.org or any other 80s cartoon community... If a toy like the Beagle or Megahouse Ride Armors can't survive then there's no chance that any Mospeada enemy mech will make it outside of an WF exclusive. Sadly, that's why the Toynami vinyl Regult makes sense... There's just not enough demand to market a full toy. (oh yeah, Robotech.com doesn't list out it's forums active members, but I've noticed that the posts get updated about as much or maybe even less than MW... don't quote me on that, just a casual observation.)
