  1. i posted that back on MW in 1989... I was way ahead of my time...
  2. I'm not saying it's a painful watch. It's a mediocre fun action movie. I just don't want to see valks (or veritechs) moving like they came out of a 300 side scroller movie. Especially after we've seen Kawamori's direction of dogfight action sequences improve everytime we see a new Macross animation. I read somewhere... maybe here or somewhere else... that picking this director shows how serious they are about a good Robotech movie. And I agree, for them to choose a mediocre director already doesn't bode well for the LAM franchise. You're always hoping that this license would somehow get treated better and surprise us all. I mean... I'm just throwing this name out because I liked the mech action in District 9, but RT fans never get that type of elating news like picking Blomkamp to helm this movie. You never get the "Oh hey! That make sense..." reaction for any RT news.
  3. On a change of note... Saw Losers yesterday. Seriously, this is not the guy you want to handle valkyrie action. That crank up/slow down action is sooo dated! And the posey slo-mo walking hero shot is even worse. If it gets done this way I can only hope that someone takes RTLAM and find 2 other movies to splice it with. You think Carl Macek would roll over in his grave? Don't think so... Too soon?

Oh wait I was trying to quote Macross and I ended up doing Princess Bride... Unthinkable!
  5. what robotech thing?
  6. Ah crap... the two people before me made that point... should read first then reply. But that's a good angle on Jacob dying... didn't really think of it that way.
  7. I don't know if you missed the part about Jacob saying that he brings people to the Island to prove to that people are inherently good. And people fail, because if the first guy he brings on the Island succeeds... well there wouldn't be a show.
  8. I'm not angry.... sorry to come across that way, but you seem to be annoyed whenever someone straight out says that MIB = evil. Even if I was wrong at the end it's not a far fetched supposition because the show has has gone out of its way to represent him as that. And to say that OMG you're so trusting with the writing... so what? It's exactly what they bring to the show... guessing is fun but at the end you only get what they give you. First off, I never said Jacob was good, but he is a man with a mission. Plus he can't be that much of a good guy if he can't take the responsibility given him and spent the last few hundred years trying to abandon it by dumping it on someone else. But I do think that the goal given him is to keep evil from escaping to the outside world, and that puts him and the future guardian on the 'good' side of the line.
  9. are you seriously looking for that big twist at the end? Are you going to be one of those angry disappointed viewers if you don't get it? I understand that LOST is supposed to be one of those twisty turnie type stories, but all successful stories have to have a solid base to build from. So do you actually believe that it's a lie that the whole thing is NOT about keeping the MIB on the island? And who did Jacob kill again? No, that's a serious question... I can't recall a person that Jacob actually killed of sent out someone to have killed. If there's no specific event that defines MIB as evil aside from his nature and the fact that he outright kills people. I'm saying he's evil because as a plot device HE is the evil that can't be let off the island, the central point of the mythology (i guess as I see it, I don't know what other people think it is.)
  10. MIB is definitely the bad guy... he's an evil that can't be let loose in the real world (even though there's obviously a number of characters that shouldnt be allowed in the real world anyway.) But the rest of it deals with what is right and how far will you go to achieve what is right? I don't think they are trying to seem like it's all black and white.
  11. Britai would be about 9 ft tall as a miclone. Max in proportion to Millia when he was macronized or when she was micronized. Max is 183 cm = 6 ft tall. And Roy is 7'1". So if you look at that black and white scale pic, Roy would probably go up to just beneath Britai's shoulder in proportion to Millia. The Zentran next to Britai would be a standard 6ft tall miclone. Sorry... been calculating a lot of Macross scales for sculpting reasons.
  12. Here's Hurin's reply ahead of time: Or so he sayssss.... haha... alright, I guess it's one of those things but from the things I remember I took it as true... can't really find out now so Iwon't argue. There's one thing that bugs me, which I think is writer's error. Last week in the beginning Dr. Pierre Chang introduced Hugo for that award. Shouldn't he be dead in that reality if the timeline was created by the nuclear blast burying the island underneath the sea? Plus he was the same age as when the bomb went off.
  13. kinda glad it didnt get made... wasn't into the designs... I didn't think Astroboy was tht great. I wanna see something closer to the Alex Ross look which is really just a more faithful adaptation.
  14. But as NSJ23 said... the fact that he was seen with Claire confirms it... plus remember that the cabin kept changing locations even though we know it's a physical location when we saw it being built, so its possible that Hurley was led to a mock cabin that mockLocke created.
  15. ! see my plan in telling AgentGHQ to step up worked... Bea? as in Bea Arthur?
  16. oh yeah... that's Glen and damn... what's his name... Shawn? So if you guys wanna meet Minmay go to Metropolis... lol.
  17. That's only in Japan... You can get one that said, I went to Akihabara and back and all I got is a damn VF-1.
  18. or if they don't want to do custom schemes then they should release blanks in different base colors. I mean it doesn't require switching molds, just switch colors. A blank gray and a blank green one would be awesome. Just include a 1J and 1A head with the S.
  19. That's what happens when there's 2 sides and everyone in the middle...
  20. I can understand britai being a non articulated figure though... the robe just restricts leg movement. if Quamzin ever gets made he'd have to be in his battle suit to be articulated. Which I guess T-Rex already did. But I want a Quamzin to come up to at least Britai's shoulders and with a removable helmet/alternate head.

    1/48 Fast Packs?

Hey! Thanks for the compliment. I'll address it here since OP was asking for the same thing. The complicated facts with that type of project would be either one or 2 people pay a lot or we get enough people to be interested. The 1/60 run didn't do as well as I expected it, but I'm glad I did it because I believe it's the most complete collection of the cast available, especially in scale with the mechs... something that I always wanted. As I said... I did have someone commission me to do a couple of 1/48 figures... it's something that I do want to do, it just takes time and investment to get to them. At this point I'm still trying to get all the 1/60s out... took a lot more time that I expected .

    Inconceivable!
  23. my friend works on that show as a weapons smith and another one plays the asian warrior once and a while. http://www.spike.com/video/warriors-den/3341531 Steve is the one on the right in the beginning of the video.

    1/48 Fast Packs?

I'm actually doing some but as commisions... I'm going to recast the pencil sharpener pilot from a while back and maybe modding the 1/48 Hasegawa TV pilot. But as individual characters the chances are very thin.
  25. Loved this movie! So much fun!
