Iron Man 2 (Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow!)
EXO replied to EXO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Download these awesome hi-res pre production paintings from Iron Man 2... You can probably print poster or make wallpapers out of them. http://io9.com/5544739/design-secrets-of-iron-man-2-suitcase-armor-whiplash-and-crazy-improv -
I doubt they're going to sell you prototype pieces with markings hand painted on.

Yeah, the Others were a collective of people that were pretty much brought to the Island by Jacob, not to be used as pawns but ended up as (some were candidates but were crossed off the list, I forget who, Ben or Richard that Jacob would at times give him a list of people that they have to collect and bring to the island)... but they were there to show MIB that the people outside weren't all that bad. The Losties would have ended up as Others but the fact that the true replacement was one of them made them special. Walt's storyline was compromised due to the fact that the actor was growing up too fast for the series's slow rate of time. He was written out when Michael took him off the Island. Then Sawyer's dream of seeing Tall Walt made it seem like he saw the future and finally the flash forward episodes and eventually the storyline's jump to real time with Jeremy Bentham allowed Walt back in just to resolve the character. But his intended reason for the show was never realized.

We've been getting answers for the past season and a half. Most of the major mysteries have already been solved. Why were they brought to the island what the numbers mean whats the purpose of the island what's the black smoke why do they see the dead people who are the others why doesn't richard age where is the island located

that's my point... when it comes to zentrans, scale is retroactive and doesn't factor into my buying or displaying.

I think she LOST her bra.

With Jacob gone for good... not sure of the exact timeline, but if Jacob's ashes burned out before Richard got thrown... Ricardus... is done!

The Transformers 3 Thread--A Michael Bay Thread

lol... a mods trifecta... now it looks like we were having a meeting on how to stop the Megan Fox backlash. C-O-N-spiracy.... -
Yeah, there's a shot at the end of the series where the zentradi soldiers pretend to be fighting VF-1s and when Quamzin's troops get there, they all run away. The soldiers were the same height as the battroids. And that scene where the Battroid lights the soldier's cigarette. I thought the whole point of making the valks transform was to go up against the Zentradi at their size. But at the same time, I don't want to have a regult over tower the VF-1 that much. I think the scale of the toys is OK. I bet the 1/60 regult would look good next to a 1/48 in fighter mode also.

Exactly. I don't even get that crackhead comment. I've never seen her movies but the only bad press I've ever seen about her is her candidness in interviews. She doesn't go out to get boozed up at night, flash her crotch and she's been with the same guy forever... silly whore. It's funny that people love to watch other people trip and take the side of some hack director. -
I was just thinking about how much of a big pain in the ass Lockes Dad was, how he kept turning up in all those episodes and made Locke so miserable and finally when we got to the pay off, it was awesome... I just feel like that's the kind of pay off we see with Widmore. I like the way he killed MILF w glasses though. "Well you told her not to talk, that makes her pointless!"

QTF! Plus Gilligan's Skipper's dad was Little John. And the entire cast of the Errol Flynn's Robin Hood kicked ass. Basil Rathbone, Claude Raines and Olivia De Haviland. You guys have no idea who these dead fogies are... lol. You know you've become too rich once you believe that poor people are no longer exploited. I don't get how this is a prequel when the cast is older than I have ever seen Robin Hood in any other movie. It's seems funny that for this role Ridley Scott already has the perfect Robin Hood in his acting stable, Leo DiCaprio, not that he would agree to play it, but he got Crowe to do it. And how about a pretty looking Lady Marion, like Emily Blunt or something. Too bad Heath Ledger's gone. He coulda made it work. Haven't seen it.... just sayin...

Well, like I said. The Aaron thing is suppose to be addressed on the finale... we'll see. Tha maps was drawn by Kelvin Ilman's (Clancy Brown)partner before Desmond arrived on the island. It was the semi-coherent scribblings of an insane man just before he blew his head off. This was done after the quarantine locked them in and had nothing to do with the Dharma initiative.

Ethan was a fluke because there was an outside influence there. Juliet was an offset to the balance because she was sort of chosen. Remember, they knew everything about Juliet before she got on the island, meaning she was being watched? Maybe by Jacob in the lighthouse? But I'm thinking that she was brought there to insure that Aaron was born. Claire purpose on the island was Aaron, not herself. She's not even on the candidate list. But could Ethan have been born on the island with or without Juliet? Was the photograph of them in the 70's always there? That I can't answer. Or assume, because that's all I'm doing... lol.

I got an email before the pics went up saying that they saw a 1/60 regult on display. So that means that the sign mentioned the scale. If that's any confirmation.

Since most of the action in the 70s era takes place within the confines of the Dharma camp protected by the barriers, the influences of the Island were minimized down to the scientific aspect. I'm not sure if it could keep out Jacob, but it seemed that Jacob didn't really interact with them directly. Though I suspect someone told Richard to tell young Ben to return to his camp. The ring of ash are only good if the person that influences it is still alive physically as evident with Dogen's death. Somehow, his presence held back the monster from the temple. But I would guess that the temple was under double protection because Smokey never tried moving in on the temple when Jacob was alive. There's probably no sort of ash left on the island that could hold back the monster. I think that the fact that people can't procreate on the island is more of a population control. If people were able to have offspring then the island would be a lot less deserted than it is. Most of the islands residents are either brought there by a shipwreck/plane crash and the more permanent ones are semi-immortals. And those people really try their hardest to control not only the number of people but the type of residents it holds. It seems to me that it's a lot more forgiving to people that are no danger to reproducing, like Roussaeu and Rose and Bernard. But once Roussaeu got into the mix, she got hers. But Rose and Bernard have so far been Pacifist to the whole struggle. Also, we still have to see Aaron's importance to the storyline. He seems to be the key to the whole offspring thing. Alex didn't really amount to any importance to that whole storyline. I'm still not that happy with the quick deaths... so Widmore's whole storyline is to tell Unlocke about Desmond? That's crazy!

OK... you people... back on topic...

Good question... but not good enough!!! lol. Shannon didn't make it to the trip. Yes, the central characters are still tied in with each other which seem to suggest that destiny and fate are still integral in the parallel universe and blowing up the island doesn't wipe out it's effect on people outside. Also, Desmond is on the plane when he wasn't originally. I also told my friends a similar "consciousness transferance" theory, except I didnt call it that. My friends just scratch their asses and say "you still watch that crap?" The thing that still gets me is that assuming that everything happened the way it did up the the island getting nuked, that would mean that Ben Linus would have never gotten off the island as he wasn't part of the group that got on the submarine before the Losties decided they were going to attack the Dharma people that were left. Remember... Charlotte and Miles's mom got off the island but Ben stayed on and eventually eradicated all that was left of the Dharma initiative. And so did Miles's dad, who turned up in Hugo's award presentation surprisingly unaged. We discussed this part earlier and left it up to "writers' error" But you know if they added 3 more season's they would have eventually made up some mysterious Island force to explain that phenomenon. But the inconsistency with Ben's survival get's me. It's not error but the writers' inability to get rid of a character they are fond off. Which doesn't say much for Sayid and the Kwons. Yeah I have gripes too... overall, with this series i think is the best ever on TV.

lol. I saw the previous post last night and I thought, hey the face looks too abrasive, but I'm gonna keep my mouth shut until it's all done. The colored version makes it come to lifeand still has that anime look! Awesome work Ruak.

No I don't, cuz I never go there. But it's those little smart remarks that you like to drop and run that you think makes you seem smarter than others. But all it does is make you look like the curmudgeonly tired and angry otaku that you pretend not to be.

VF5SS consistently addresses as if he's speaking to the whole board over some remarks of a few members... there's 2 sides of the argument and he's not the only one that replies againt those angry at the exclusives. He's got the "you people" syndrome that clearly shows his unhappiness with the boards. But yet he's here all the time. AND he calls "you peoples" idiots... which is pretty rude and against the rules. He should consider this post as a warning. Now maybe he can start a thread on CDX about this post and "those people" can have another field day being "them people". You, and he, needs to understand that when you continually address the whole forum with your complaints it brings down the whole forum... you need to just man up and address the specific poster without baiting them into a flame war. Yeah, I know it takes some finnesse, but it works both ways.
