6/11 DYRL & Frontier Movie Ropongi Anime Night
EXO replied to Save's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
Man... I wish we can do a DYRL screening here... -
Yamato's was based on a resin kit and these guys probably studied the hell out of it... but that said, I agree. This one looks a ton better. If it holds up well structurally, I might get it.

Cmon in on the 8th. We'll prolly have a small get together that night and be too hungover to make it to the con on time! haha. -
a neurotic Voltron pic from Woody Allen... I can just see it... "I... I just don't know who I am anymore... sometimes I feel like I'm one giant robot and sometimes I feel like five different lions that can't get it together... you know, I bet it's got something to do with my mother. But that sword thing... that's a whole different issue"

The guy that did the instructions was given one night to do the whole thing. I bet it's full of mistakes but blame it on the crunch. I wonder if they improved it for the second run.

It was good to hear the theme during that hilarious 3D scene. I'll be honest though. I walked in during the middle of the first half. I had a meeting so I wanted to see something that ended right before it. I didn't really care what I saw. But in the middle of the movie I turned to my friend and said... Man! This movie is so much fun!

That was fun... a bit too much CG, but the action was good.

I'm kinda glad Max is a web exclusive. Makes me not want the entire line. I'll probably just get one of each variant. I'll get 2 seaters for sure though if they make them.

Man got to go to Kinokuniya soon! -
He's gonna swim up and McGarrett and Dano will be there to meet him. I heard on the Jimmy Kimmel special after the show that he co-owns The Counter restaurant in Hawaii... yum! Best burgers ever with sweet potato fries!

Hi Jenny... here's a sample of the type of karaoke lyrics we're going to do for the con http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_j_MWSx6rU We should be able to have a laptop in front of the performer and also have it projected to a screen so that the audience can see the lyrics as well. I just checked out that site. It should have enough of the lyrics we need to make a good selection. Jason, check out the Macross list on that site and see which of those songs you can output to a DVD or flash drive. If there's anyone that would like to volunteer making the videos for us that would be awesome. It's pretty easy and I'll be willing to teach anyone how to do it. I did it on Microsoft Powerpoint. I don't even think we need to output it to a youtube version for the con, we can just use powerpoint to project it.
