VF-1X? Didn't you throw the very first MWCon? lol.
-
Yeah, the reality aspect is really dumb. I don't know why they have to eliminate people even though the people that have left have been douches IMO... but that's not even the point. The point is who can shoot different weapons most accurately? And another dumb part is that they sit out people that the other team chooses. So really the idea here is to find out who's the worst shooter, not the best. I think a point system would have been better. But I agree. The props and obstacles are the fun part of the show.

Signs and the Village were almost the same movie. It was like "what if the story went this way?" or "What if the monster was fake?" And notice that M Night fetishes in that one shot where everyone is hiding in the bathroom/basement while the scary thing passes right by... in Signs, Village, Lady In the Water and The Happening. It reminds me of The Brady Bunch Movie where Mr. Brady keeps designing the Brady House for his clients but he just changes the Marquee sign in front of the store.

anyone watch Top Shot? It's a show that puts sharp shooters of different weapons against each other. I don't really understand why they have to put them into a house together, maybe it's cheaper than putting them up in a hotel and you get extra footage. But it's a show about actual skills.

Geez. I'm glad I sold mine. But I don't get how people buy the Yamato SOP when you know they're gonna keep changing it. Unless you collect each and every iteration.

Did you make your avatar? that looks really cool.

Nephews wanted to see it... usually kids love anything... they didn't like it at all. to me it seemed like a 2 hour trailer for something much much longer. You don't get a gist of any sort of friendship between the main characters or any animosity between enemies. They just go along for the adventure because there's a point B to the point A that they are coming from. As Kirk Lazarus would ask... where is the emotionality?

You're better off inspiring him by exposing him to art that he might be interested in. Comic books, animation, sculptures, cars, specialty book or magazines (like Cinefex for movie special effects.) Honestly I don't go past the pencil either when it comes to drawing. But the first time someone lent me clay and I was surprised to find out that sculpting came naturally. It's almost like music. You can't really make someone sit down and force them to play the piano, but if you expose them to different music, they'll gravitate towards what comes naturally for them.

nice stuff... guess I have to translate with google... lol.

Wow, scathing reviews Shyamalan finally made a comedy I don't read reviews unless I'm undecided whether I want to see a movie or not. This was on the I don't care list until I saw some of the shows they've been running on TV. I guess the good thing is now I got something to watch on TV. Well since the topic starter is mod and he didnt find a previous topic, you should bump the topic so it can be merged. Otherwise if another thread is started and no one misses the other, then it doesn't really matter if there's two, when one is already dead.

Got a lot better towards the last episodes. My favorite episode 'White Tulip' is the one with Peter Weller . If you can find that episode then give it a try, but I think you might need to watch a couple of eps. before that because it's kinda tied in. Aside for that I think the 2 main leads are miscast. I'm not a big fan of Anna Torv. But John Noble as Walter Bishop is excellent.

My friend Chris is playing Sun Tzu on tonights episode!

Wow... cant wait to get it! Thanks Eriku.

Whoah! That's awesome! Now we need one for the 1/100 scale!

The idea of moving the frame forward wouldnt work for Macross. Starting with the fact that the VF-1 was kinda like a successor to the F-14 and the timeline is set across the board if you think about the sequels. I think that's why they didn't do it for The First comic book.

I still have my broken Toynami Alpha. Buyer backed out and someone else wanted a part, but a lot of my PMs didn't make it thru the upgrade. If anyone wants to buy off parts, LMK. hands are crumbling right foot broke right shoulder missile door broke (glued shut) otherwise good as new! -
Did you guys see Yacolog's page? http://wildcats.pupui.jp/mt/archives/2010/06/post_264.html
