  1. So stupid me... I didn't research the fact that there's no lineart for the graphic that I want for the fifth shirt, and I'm not really satisfied with any other Frontier art for the series I'm doing. So I'm going to try something that may be something I can do quick.... or could end up in disaster... but I already announced that the 5th shirt would be the VF-25... Here's the graphic I want... And now we attempt to rebuild it as something that would go with that series... here's the other designs BTW... 2. That's a cellphone pic that my friend (who's actually a member here also) sent me. He wasn't there to get it though.
  3. Wow. I really want to see it again... Hopefully in IMAX.
  4. Hulloh! Van Wilder!
  5. How dare you! My grandmother was SD!
  6. Lol... and filmakers PAY to put filmgrain in their digitally shot movies... Is it an anthology when there's only 2 movies in the series?

    Supah Happy Party Set!

I'm not sure. I'm kinda burned out on them. lol. Got something in the works though.
  10. I remember I was at a bowling alley when I saw those. I walked passed the gumball machine and I turned around to see if I saw what I thought I saw... man I put a bunch of quarters into that machine. I recasted these a while back for this forum... I might have extra but it'll take some digging to find. Theyre perfect next to the 1/35 Gakken Alpha! oh... I never knew they had the motorcycles by themselves.. thats even more perfect!

    1/100 Toynami Regult

It's not uncalled for. But like I said. The vinyl figures are great... what's the big deal? Those toys I was talking about are sold out. All toynami has to do is make sure they continue with the quality that they now have with the help of Beagle and Aoshima. The Maia Alpha was a step back, all I'm saying is move forward... with these vinyl figures and future toys.
  13. looks good. I haven't gotten to mine. My nephew put one together but he wants it to look like a Halo craft. haha. kids!

    1/100 Toynami Regult

That's kinda pushing it there. First of all I don't know where most of these reviews are and saying "in spite" of the niche interest area when their core product WAS Robotech and Macross in the first place. And let's face it, when push came to shove and when it was time to step up with the big boys to produce their "Masterpiece" line, Toynami failed miserably. The veritech line was outdated in both look and engineering and the Alphas fell apart in your hands. Their best product to come out of that line was designed and manufactured by an outside firm and it failed miserably after 2 releases. The Masterpiece Beta, again... was only made possible by another company and greatly overshadowed the toy it was supposed to support. And even then, at the same time, they had to recall the continuation of that line that they were doing on their own. I like these vinyl regults, but it doesn't stand as a testament for them as toy makers. I think the sculptor is talented but he's backed by a company that doesn't care what happens to the product once its in your hands. I think vinyl is the only way for them to go EVEN if the economy was good enough for them to continue with more complex toys. Excuse my bitterness but I was just reminded of how crappy these toys are because I was trying to take a part from my broken Masterpiece OF CRAP! Scott Bernard Alpha to send it to someone that needed it for repair. And it's so crappy that 5 pieces broke before I can get to the piece itself. And there's no easy way to get to any part either because everything is glued together instead of screws. What? Are they afraid that someone is going to steal their designs? Is anyone out there really insane enough to bootleg the Alpha? Maybe if they did, it would be more sturdy.
  15. I've always been against the whole faux shoulder for the GBPs starting off with the v.1 1/60s. I was really disappointed with the 1/48s because it seemed like they unnecessarily made the GBP way too bulky for the valk. Then they do it again for the new 1/60s... it really don't need it. Just design the shoulder missiles for the existing valk. Fulcy's vaporware VF-AG project didn't need a faux shoulder, the 1/48 Thunder Hammer didn't need it, and the new 1/60 TH doesn't either.
  16. I think the bandai 1/100s will be the line for me to collect. I would much rather prefer the Yamato 1/60s but at this point and it seems in the future, I'm gonna need the cash and space. I'm already considering getting rid of my unopened 1/48s.

    1/100 Toynami Regult

There's a 1/60 Regult resin kit tentatively in the works and already prototyped by Yamato. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=33069&hl=regult&st=0 I always thought that the "DYRL colors" for the regult was more of a lighting effect but it's perfect to have them as con exclusives. I won't be going to SDCC anymore though.
  18. what??? that's the VF-1J? Sacrilege!!! I love it!
  19. I like the gray visor too. Gives it a lot of character.
  20. What's wrong with discussing it? It's a discussion forum. And discussions are sometimes a form of entertainment. I remember when people used to discuss in the toy forum that Yamato should do a second type of 1/60 toy, built like a 1/48 and other people thought they were crazy. Why would Yamato do that? And who knew they were going to do a comic book like Macross the First. Isn't a release of an official updated story a good enough reason to open up discussion? So you think a Star Wars reboot an impossibility? Heresy maybe... (like the sub-title to this thread) but impossible... I wouldn't say it's impossible. Open up a little and if you can't stand the thought, close the thread and don't think about it.
  21. like this!
  22. lol. I remembered because my MWCon shirt says "inspired by VF1X". You should post those pics in the Convention section and check out MWCon 10 (that's right... 10!) at UCLA this Oct. Yeah... I hated the first 1/60s. But it allowed me to finish collecting the 1/55s. These 1/60s are totally awesome. I was just looking at it yesterday and they don't seem to be small toys. They're pretty big. But then you go back to the 1/48s and those feel like they're huge. But the fit and tightness of the 1/60s are what puts them over the top. Totally recommended.
