I agree with you about the Yamato connection being a moot point. Yamato is going to make what they make regardless of what Macrossworlders think because they are only there to service the Japanese market. They are only able to cater to Japan because of the circumstances of the license. It's a big "what if" for us to even consider the fact that would the regult be cheaper if they can solicit to the rest of the world. A debate that has it's own thread so we won't discuss it here. The whole "compare it to this toy" argument is also getting old. Maybe a squadron has to go after rogue Zentrans when they get stuck on earth after the SDF-1 folds into outerspace. You can add pictures for fee if you upload it somewhere else and put the link in the description as an HTML. There's also other little tricks to selling like what time of the day, what day, and of course the pictures. You can have a perfect toy not sell if your picture sucks and you can have a flawed toy sell if the picture are nicely taken. Another thing you might want to depending on how confident you are about your price is maybe start it low to get people's attention and let them bid it up. But there's a chance you might not get your asking price.

We can all discuss how we could spend $500 if it fell on our laps, but the fact that it's not mass produced at that price already suggests that it's not meant for everyone... so that would be all moot.

I got my CMs from some guy on the boards here... cheap! but the trooper invid in that scale would be as tall as the voltron, now in terms of size the trooper is a lot rounder, don't know if they are willing to go that route, plus the CMs was never released by Toynami so they wont be scaling it with any of their products.

I'm with you there... I'm just wondering how they would approach it. Scale is so inconsistent in the animation anyway. I'd be down with an invid that was as tall as the 1/100 regult... but then again I sold all my Alphas... so it'll be an invid by itself. I guess I'll get a Matchbox one to go with the 1/35 clunker that i still prefer over the newer Legioss toys.
