Let me check. But I doubt it... the legs are too straight. But I have the model so I can rework it to fit.

As the designer, I can answer that question. There's more added detail and the body lines is a lot closer to the lineart. And of course there's the inclusion of the pilot. The scale was also ttaken from Sketchley's translation of the specs found in the Macross Chronicles. The radar "wing" is also thickened so it won't droop. I think that other kit had that problem. If you look at tthat smaller cylinder behind the cockpit, all the other kits omit the fact that the main body goes around that. But according to the line art and some screen shots, that's the way it's suppose to be. lineart from Mr. March's site Macross Mecha Manual http://www.macross2.net/m3/sdfmacross/lancerii.htm PM me about the 1/144. Thanks!

It's ok, loop... we've put models here before that were meant to be displayed with the toys. E.g. Yamato Fan Racer and 1/2000 Macross.

Same here. We've had the same discussions before in the same line whether or not a valk would have rivets but at the same time you can't help but love the extra detail. I myself love to see battleworn and rusted up valks or enemy mechs. When you look at the tv version of the zentran mechs though, their very bare bones. The regult pilot uses his hands and feet to point the cannons. It's very simple but elegant. You really do get a sense that most of the engineering went into the soldiers and how they're genetically"conditioned" to use those machines.

Yup... I agree on both accounts. While I enjoy looking at these artists's weathering skills, I don't necessarily think that these beings would use the same exact materials. Also, considering the scale, if it did rust, the size of the degradation wouldn't be as prominent as it would be on a tank, especially if it's still in use.

Is that a dating preference, cuz it's racist! OOOH, nice pics! -
I hope so. I rather wait for a proper movie than have Fox screw up another one. Hopefully they lose enough money on it to just want to get rid of it.

I doubt it. We're talking about an industry that would buy up scripts just to sink competing projects that they own. The best they will do is a similar deal like the one Sony made with Spider-Man so they can still get money out of it. But even with that type of deal how long would it take to reboot this cursed franchise. Phase 3 hasn't even started and that's already planned out until 2019... it think that they'll either wait until people get over this one and then try start it up again to tie in with their own Fox universe. It's too bad since I would love to see Spidey go up against Doom.

1/48 MOSPEADA LEGIOSS RESIN KIT: FINAL SHOT
EXO replied to captain america's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'll have to move this to the Other Anime section but I'll leave it here 'til you make your 30. Let me know if you want pilots and the little folded up cyclones. -
Nice. Were these done by the same guy that did the Ultimate Strike? This belongs in the model section BTW. Only WIPs here in the Workshop.

The studios don't make much of a share off overseas numbers. They'll make most of their money back in the home video markets. I posted a link somewhere else before on how it works with the international box office. And when you compare the billions Marvel and Disney have made off their franchise within the few years they've been making these movies, it really makes the X-Men movies look bad cosidering they've been doing it for a longer time. The last x-titles haven't really done well. I prefer Matthew Vaughn's First Class but that didn't make enough to keep him on the roster. Suprisingly, the ones that were successful in the box office? The original and Brett Ratner's. Lol.

Nothing's worse than an action scene without any action. Sideshow always gets Dr. Doom right.

People like that shouldn't be in superhero movies... Sorry to interrupt your busy schedule there Cudmore, now can I get some fries with that? You gotta own those roles even if you're just doing voice.

Awesome... Now I can play Godzilla the movie!

'Fantastic Four': Film Review http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movie/fantastic-four/review/813140 The Bottom Line More like the Unfantastic Four. Fantastic Four feels like a 100-minute trailer for a movie that never happens. At this point in the ever-expanding cinematic superhero game, it behooves any filmmakers who gets involved to have at least a mildly fresh take on their characters and material, but this third attempt to create a worthy cinematic franchise from the first of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's iconic comic book creations, which can genuinely claim to have launched the Age of Marvel, proves maddeningly lame and unimaginative. Yikes!

The X-Men movies haven't really done well at all. They barely make over the production budget which means they lose money after publicity and distribution even when you add in international bank. I don't get why they keep giving these movies back to Brian Singer. The guy obviously hates the comic book motifs and would rather see the characters in motorcycle gears. Now that they see how much people want to watch the characters to look like their comic book counterparts they're barely starting to catch up, and poorly too. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/search/?q=x-men

That's Mike Salzo's Regult. It's a good price too. $200 for the resin kit if I remember correctly. I customized it for someone here. Trying to figure out how to fix it. -
