1/48 Mospeada Invid/Inbit Iigaa Scratchbuild
EXO replied to Ignacio Ocamica's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Actually... Toynami is watching! Maiden Japan can do this in his sleep (No offense Ignacio) but will the people he works for pay him to? I'm all for criticizing the Man! Well, I criticize MJ too, but just to see the nicest guy get mad and flip me off... haha. hey I was wondering when you were going to post this. to keep parts sticking from each other you can use petroleum jelly and a brush. Tape works also but in case you have complicated areas that you need to keep from bonding. Try it out first on some scratch pieces though. Never experiment on the pieces your working on. Something that I can't seem to learn... lol. Let me know when you get to the ball joints, I can help you out there... -
I'll put up more progress pics later today.

hmmm... who's idea was that with the hands... I wonder... Awesome, I'd love to see it. Can't believe you got to it before me. I got busy with a quick job and now I'm just trying to catch up with the side covers... oy! And my Regult arrival is looming!

The design on that prop car is so good that it still looks like it's from the future and not dated at all. Same for the guns. Hell, even the hair on the actors don't look so 80's. (Linda Hailton's hair in Termintor... lol)

OK... first of all... no personal insults. That goes for both the "troll" and "idiot" comments. Second of all, no derailing threads. We can talk about zombies, AMC, other movies but they should all come back in relation to the subject matter. You can post an article about a so called zombification ( made that up, I think ) but enough about china and cannibalism that derails further into some guy that wrote a letter about how he was inspired by it (interesting but way OT.) And letter ZEE!!! I Am Legend with Will Smith sucked zombie balls... one episode of Walking Dead kicks it's corroded ass to the blood splattered curb!

What do you think is the most innovative VF design?
EXO replied to Xx-SKULL-ONE-xX's topic in Movies and TV Series
VF-1... I think everyone is comparing innovation to what the norm is, which would be the VF-1/VF-0. But in terms of innovation in transforming vehicles the VF-1 wasn't the run in the mill "pull out the arms and unfold the legs" type that most of the design in the 80's were. I feel that apart from the YF-21 (which I'm not that into because of the big hunk of airplane on it's back) and the VB-6 Koenig (which I like) most of the featured VF's are just variations of the YF-19. Which I guess would make it the 2nd most innovative. BTW, the VF-17 transformation reminds me of the Legioss transformation. -
I'm not familiar with zombie fiction. But This is probably in the books so don't spoil for me what it is. Even in a spoiler tag because I'll be reading comments on episodes aired. Thanks! I recommend it to non zombie apocalypse fans like me or even people that aren't big on horror. I didn't really think it was that scary even though I can say that it's gory and surprising. The one thing I wasn't expecting was that it's really emotional. Someone previously mentioned a great scene that was unexpectedly heart felt. There were a couple of scenes actually. Seems silly typing about it but it makes the show better than what it should be.

I had some mishap recasting because I was rushing to have it for the con. I've since resanded and reprimered the parts again. Taking my time this time... I should have pics soon. Unusual bad weather in the last few weeks in Socal have kept me from going into my garage a bunch of days. It's pouring as I type...
-
ok... I'll let the writers know next time I run into them...
-
Yeah. But you're mixing up history and the established movie lore. In the Hulk movie they talked about the Super Soldier Experiments and they never mentioned steroids (IIRC). I mean it COULD be steroids but I don't remember them specifying it as such.
-
Didn't they already address it in The Hulk? They just simply call it the Super Soldier Serum.
-
The go to Marvel answer to everything is GAMMA RAYS!!!
-
Bucky dies?
-
Does he start off as Captain America? Private First Class America? Cuz thats what the pics look like... Soldier Boy America.
-
Oops... sorry I mixed them up! KIDDING!

Kicker walked into MWCon and he tells me, "my gf feels better now that she sees that I'm not the only crazy one." So I looked at her an said, "oh no, this doesn't all belong to one person, we all just brought one item each."

See... that's something I would have loved to see early on. Not only are you linking the 2 shows but you give the audience some kind of investment on the show. I mean it's not like they had to "arrive" after the war but let themselves known after while having a storyline before realizing who they were... again... the familiar theme of "it happened before..."

All I know is UPS sucks.

Finally, our VF-1 PE set is finished, soon~ in 1/48 scale~

nice. Wish I had a kit... still waiting for the FP versions. -
I love the show and the characters, but I don't really blame them for cancelling it. I think syfy was given the idea that this was going to lead to the cylon wars but it seemed like they were going to stretch out the drama and just drop hints of the cylon development. The first half of the season had a steady pace but the last few episodes were more of the same. The whole "who will run Graystone Industries" was pretty unecessary. The series has a weird foundation of Mob vs. Industry/Technology. I would think that a show that leads up to BSG would be more about Miltary vs Politics vs Technoloy. The Religion aspect seems like a fit because BSG had a lot of religion in it. But the biggest disservice is splitting up the season. I thought this was season 2. While I was waiting for it, I'm sure a lot of people let it drop under their radar. The absence of publicity doesn't help either. I guess this makes more room for more crappy TV people seem to be fond of.

Yup. Also, Bandai is a much bigger company and the amount of money they spend on outsourcing is much greater so they can get better price breaks for their materials, contractors, warehouse fees, labor, etc...

I skipped the VF-25 because I thought the models looked better but at the end I didn't get either. LOL. I'm spending all my money on one kit for the rest of the year and that the regult (example of the opposite of affordable kits ) but that Bandai Monster keeps calling.
-
Not the kits I'm building... plus you gotta buy all the equipment... in the long run maybe but a kit just doesn't have the heft and playability. It all has to do with what you prefer. I have the tayland VF-171 WF kit and it's beautiful but I'd end up buying a 1/60 VF-171 by Bandai if they released (if it's nothing like the VF-25 which I never picked up.) I just figured I'll weather up all my kits and leave my toys alone unless it's a custom scheme that I want in scale with the other toys.
