    They'd have to make it pretty darn good for me to buy a whole new line. But there's a good possibility, especially if they tampo the crap out of it. And for every one complaining about too many VF-1s... Remember it's these babies that get your other VFs made. That and the higher price. lol.

    You can't have dynamic poses without those ball joints. If you move any other joints they start to turn weird... look at that Cheetara. Her legs will only splay out when you move them up. Visible joints on toys (without fabric clothing) are the reality. Otherwise, just start collecting statues or whatever those McFarlane figures pretend to be.

    The figures dont look that great but maybe because they're the 4" ones that go into the vehicles and play-sets. There's going to release 7 inch figures also. Hopefully they have better sculpts. On that Cheetara figure, I don't like the hip joints. Ball joints should be used for a character that's suppose to sprint in the show. But then again, I don't think I'm all that interested in the toys. Looking forward to the show more than anything.

    Yamato would never base their sculpt on a wave kit. They'd design in to look like the art and to work with the transformation of the toy. The thing I don't like about the drawings I don't like is when they draw the visor with the V shape. Sometimes they do it with the flat visor and I think that looks pretty good. But in any case, it's finally a 1J with the skull on it.

    YES. I'm an addict. Of course I'm partial to the original but I'd get that and any of the Macross The First merchandise because I love that manga so much. Actually... NO... not until Big West animates the whole series. Yeah that's it. Absolutely not!!! Let me know when pre-order is up.

    Hmmm... I wonder if these are going to be Saint Seiya type figs. I'm getting that vibe from Lion-O. And yes. I can't wait for the villain figs to be shown. And reddsun... the kids were wileykit and wileykat.

    Oh whoops. Don't really watch the show... IMO customizers are great for the business. They make people buy doubles of the same item and it creates a whole new market. Look at the third party market for Transformers toys. Hasbro doesn't really go after it and it remains one of the strongest toy franchises around. Even if it's a custom of a product that they plan to release in the future, it doesn't detract collectors from the official item. A lot of us made Hikaru VF-1Ss out of our 1:48 1S Roys and 1A Hikarus. Even in the Masters of the Universe line, people buy customs of official characters knowing full well that they'll get the real thing when it's released. I'm all for customs and third party and people turning a profit from them. But if a company doesn't want others getting into the action then kill the market by making them yourselves. Yamato did it by releasing custom schemes and less popular VFs. Stifling art that doesn't harm any one is never good for any culture.

    I think Lion-Os hibernation chamber was damaged and it set up the whole "the boy who would be king" theme. That never really went anywhere.
