Wow. Ranka and Sheryl are the new Rei and Asuka.

Volvo-tron... I like it too.

http://collider.com/iron-man-3-shane-black/76695/ I'm a big fan of Shane Black. I think he should write and direct the next Bond movie. But this is just as good since he's working with RDJ again after Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which was pure win for me. Hopefully they keep the look and feel that Favraeu set up.

What? You mean a cartoon where a character flies a space fighter controlled by a guitar? That's unthinkable!

Sybil on steroids. lol. I understand the need for a secret identity but to make it hard on yourself by pretending to be the eccentric billionairess and the assistant at the same time? "uh, she's not in right now. Oh wait, she said to let you in while I get her coffee. Wait right here and she'll get up and open the door herself as soon as I turn that corner."
-
that was a pretty cool run on jeopardy. Now it's teen week. Which isn't as good as it sounds.

Thanks for the bump. I'll put some pics up soon also if solscud doesn't. I'm slowly getting these and the side covers out. I just PM'd for a couple of addresses. I guess the recent bumps has caused a little activity on my PM box. I'm currently not soliciting these and the side covers, because I want to get them out first and I'm way behind on delivering. As soon as I get everything out I'll solicit again. I just dont want to hold on to people's $$$ as long as I have with the current people waiting. Thanks! Stay tune for pics.

You're right. Maybe they changed it but a long time ago Trebek sometimes used to stop mid sentence when someone rang in. Finally saw last nights episode on youtube. Ironically, my DVR machine wasn't smart enough to record it even though it scheduled Monday's and tonights episode. Wow, they got decimated... I'm also surprised at the way it can pronounce all the words correctly.
-
I agree. That's why it should have been an hour for the first episode or a five day thing. The event itself is watching the game and to see the competition between men and machine.
-
just watched it. pretty cool so far. the amazing thing is that it actually gets some of the answers incorrect and it's not as clear cut as it would have seemed. They wasted a lot of time on talking about the machine though.
-
lol. that one went right over your head.

The Amazing Spider-Man, on Blu-Ray/DVD Nov. 9, 2012
EXO replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction

lol. Why bother with CG if Lion-O was gonna look like he had bad make up application.
-
Nice. I wonder how big those will be. I know what you mean Myk... Had it in my hands and I passed on it because someone said that they'll get in in a group buy... still kicking myself.
-
they're not in scale with MOTUCs... I wish. These are 2" taller.
-
Weird. I was just thinking of this as I watched Spirited Away the other day and how it's my favorite Miyazaki film hands down. I do love Howl's and Nausicaa though but SA remains tops in my book.
-
Those are awesome prices... $17 for 8" and $8 for the smaller ones. Compared to other toys in retail and $20 + shipping for MOTU that's pretty decent.

I'm not commenting on the movie itself but the idea that magic and science can't exist in the same comic book world is inconsequential. In the real world, I think that the further we advance in science the closer we get to a magical way of life. But in comic books we accept things that are scientifically impossible, such as a man from another planet that feeds off the yellow sunlight, thus giving him the power to fly, heat and x-ray vision and supernatural strength. We accept that Spider-Man gets bitten by a radio active spider, not only can swing around buildings but can produce a web powerful enough to support him (biologically or not) and still be biodegradable within minutes of him letting go. These things, within the comic book world is considered science because the back story is rooted that way. The idea of Thor and magic itself can be stretched to believability if you look into the quantum physic's string theory where there is thought that it is possible that there are 10 dimensions within reality. The idea is that the 4 forces of nature can only be mathematically worked out if gravity is stretched across 10 dimensions. Gravity is the weakest of the 4 forces within our reality yet a centripetal force such as the sun or a nucleus can bind it self to something that is seperated by unimaginative distances such as outer planets or protons/electrons. That in itself is magic. Now if you imagine that Valhalla and Asgard exist in one of these planes then you can actually see how Thor can come into play in the Marvel Universe. But the real magic here, I believe, is that the movie will be at best mediocre and everyone else thinks it's gonna rock.

no cover charge.

A few of us MW'ers have gone to this, dunno if anyone else interested. Lots of customs and a couple of deals to be made.

Is that a kit of the battle damaged or the regular Macross? Might have been lucky for me to have waited. Oh yeah. Nightbat. The 1/3000 is out.

Except Thundercats wasn't made by Filmation much like the rest of Qubo's lineup. It was produced by Rankin/Bass Productions along with SilverHawks and Tigersharks.
