Episode was really good. Pity the series finds itself at the end of it's run. Or pity that Syfy cancels shows before they get their speed up. Awkward having Rush, Lt. Scott and Eli all looking at Chloe like "Yum!" I thought they were about to pull the devil's foursome.

I originally thought this was a set I would do in 1/48. In fact I have Roy, Hikaru and Minmay sculpted in wax in 1/48 scale. But I thought since the 1/60 collection was much more complete then the figues would look better next to the multiple mechs in that scale. The 1/60 Roy with his helmet on looks like a 1/48 average height figure. He'd probably work well painted as Hikaru or Max.

Murphy! What have they done to you!?! Don't worry, they fix everything! Robocop is so awesome.

AKIRA LIVE ACTION MOVIE = Life Support?
EXO replied to Macross007's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Except when the story actually takes place and makes sense in New York, they replace it. Iron Man (Manhattan to Malibu). Punisher (Hell's Kitchen to Florida... I mean seriously. Frank effing Castle! FLORIDA!!!). I guess those really dark mysterious brooding heroes should get out to the beach more often. -
AKIRA LIVE ACTION MOVIE = Life Support?

I wonder what they're going to change the names to? I mean they have to right? Kaneda-> Ryder, Tetsuo -> Maurice, Akira -> Ikea (product placement) -
Official MacrossWorld Convention 2010 Information Thread
EXO replied to KiriK's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
hmmm... I wonder. -
Looks like the animated version won't be as detailed as the designs. You'd think that with CG animation you can keep all those details in. And from the storyboards it seems like the character's will have a slight Bruce Timm design look. Of course this is all spec. I'll hold judgment til we see final product.

Hmmm... might need to get rid of my Toynami Voltron soon.
-
I like but I'm waiting for Voltron and the character designs.

That's the one I have.

I have one. 1/72 scale resin kit. Most Macross models come in this scale. Next would be 1/100 I think.

Useful searches fail without explanation...
EXO replied to tetsujin's topic in MW Site News & Member Feedback
There's an option to choose dates to span the search, but from what I've tested it only goes back to 2007. -
I think the girl is less impressive as WonderWoman... Here we go... Con costume... lol
-
I actually like the costume except for the boots. But that photo is awful. It looks like it's taken out of a Halloween costume catalog.

Split topics to avoid confusion. If I had to get any I'd get the Assasin's Creed PLayarts figure. And then maybe the Solid Snake figs.

Let's see the connection part of the guns. I bet it'll be easy to keep the articulation on that and it'll be more fun to play with.

I've been seeing these all over the place and they're just awesome looking figures. I wish I could collect them but at $50 each, there's no way that I want to even begin picking them up.

The Appleseed stories were straight up action and were really good. Dominion, Orion and GITS were your typical pretentious existential BS that the anime industry were starting to lean towards at that time... gave way to Evangelion.

Here's an article about the awful dialogue in Battle:LA http://filmdrunk.uproxx.com/2011/03/review-battle-los-angeles-wow-someone-wrote-that#more-41986

Haha. I was thinking the same thing. Is she gonna bite it again this time? I sorta agree with Ebert because I thought that this film would be a lot better. But it was still kinda fun to watch. I had to move back from where I was sitting because I didn't realize it was going to be that much of a shaky cam movie. I was expecting Bourne but it was more like Cloverfield. The good was the marines shooting aliens, which is what I came to see. Some good acting by Eckhart. The bad is about everything else. Stupid story, cliche everything that makes you think about other movies while you're watching this one. Really bad dialogue. And bad alien designs. spoilerish complaints:

I couldn't think of the internet equivalent since the internet IS the equivalent on the most part, but that's what I see this movie as. And it's not really free unless you're looking at the nekkid girls at Starbucks.
