  1. I can't see 3D, but my friends wanted to see it in 3D so I sat in that theatre. I have to say it must have been extra awful because the whole thing was a blur to me. Usually with the glasses it just becomes regular 2D. But this time I couldn't tell the difference with or without it.
  2. damn! so nice! Where's my 1/60's? I'm gonna PM you.
  3. I love how people don't read posts and defend against an imaginary argument. Oh web. How you never let me down...
  4. You're right. That's what it'll take. I'm sure bluray players can survive a good EMP. Anyway... back to SW blurays.
  5. Much like your posts.
  6. LOL. If you guys read my post, it says that people will refuse digital download and streaming. I'm just not going to put money on an outdated media that'll be replaced as soon as you build up your collection.
  7. I gotta agree with Graham. I feel like the 4.7 inch disk format is so outdated. If people refuse streaming or a cloud type data, I feel like movies should be able to fit into credit card size solid states. Smaller even, but who'd want something people will misplace all the time.
  8. You should put them up on the for sale section for that price (but now that we've seen your range, we know what you'll let it go for.) There's no harm in posting them and it's not like ebay where you have to pay fees. Paypal will have fees though unless you go the personal route. But sell them for what it's worth to you if you don't need the cash that bad.

  10. I wasn't a big fan of the original BSG and I'm not a big fan of Stargate in the first place. But I'm starting to find the TV sci-fi more interesting than their movie counterparts. Overall I'd agree with you that both these shows are not that good, but SGU is starting to show elements that I'm starting to like and Caprica was good on it's own but never gelled with the Ron Moore's BSG. But I'd watch Zoe Graystone with swords over SuckerPunch anyday.
  11. hmmm... gone away from a beloved project for a long time on some far away secret mission. One dead terrorist leader... I'm starting to put it all together.
  12. I thought the first season was directionless. I didn't really know what the show was about. I read in some old interview recently that the first season was meant to convey being lost and alone in the vast universe, but I think that was a mistake. But it also seems like syfy is getting rid of their more serious show in favor of the campy stuff. Let's see what they do with the new Battlestar. It's too bad, this show has really shaped up in the last few episodes. In the start of the season I wouldn't have cared if they axed it right away but now I feel like I'm ready to see more of the Destiny crew. On that note, I'm really getting bored of the drones. Maybe if this show wasn't wrapping up I'd be more tolerant but I'm really over that storyline. It's insane that there's no clue of which genre show will make it. Fringe gave me the same feeling about their run. Boring start but it's finally solidifying as a show. Who knew the network that cancelled Firefly would stick it out with that show and the sci-fi driven network would cancel 2 of their most promising shows in the same season.

Looking good Dan! no not you... the CG model...
  14. looking great. Still sending these out. Thanks for everyone's patience. Too bad the Blow Superior never came out. Looking at those pics I think some micromissile packs on the hips would make it look really good. Sorta like samurai hip armors. It would have looked awesome with the swords.
  15. I've never seen anything on Nicktoons or TF Animated, but I realize there's an audience for it. I don't really expect much from Voltron because the show never really struck a chord with me. It's just nice to have something cool to go with the toys. The initial designs of the lions are cool but the more I see the less I feel like it's something I'd enjoy. I mean, Lance looks like such a lecher in that pic. lol. And how do you get rid of one of the coolest theme songs on TV?
  16. Good job, OBAMA and the US Forces!!!
  17. Cmon! That's Roy! Everyone knows that the skull leaders pack budweisers!
  18. Yikes. After looking at the character designs I can already tell what kind of show this is. I guess I'm gonna have to be happy with Thundercats. Mattel revealed a classic 6" voltron on AOTS and man. It looked like crap. Hopefully their deluxe classics will look good.
  19. That's one reason why I'm going to wait. I'm not going to buy it and then have them release a deluxe version of of the individual movies. I'm just glad that fans that want it don't have to wait years before releasing it though. I mean, where the hell is Raiders? This is the 30th anniversary and still no announcement. (is there?) Everytime they release it the new format is announced. The VHS THX remaster was released and I already had a DVD player. The Indiana Jones DVDs were released in 2003 and blurays/HD DVDs were out by 2005/2006.
  20. I avoided getting the box sets only because I've spent so much on these movies already. The VHS version, the extended VHS, DVD, SE DVDs and even then I only bought the first 2 movies not any of 3, 4 or the Aliens vs. Predators. I told myself that I'm gonna wait for the next leap in technology. But then a friend lent me the set and it's so gorgeous that I decided that I'm going to give in and get the br of Alien and and Aliens. Not soon, but maybe just before Prometheus comes out. There's a lot of extras not included in previous versions. Some parts about Stan Winston that just makes me appreciate and miss him more. About the transfer, it is really done well, but it's so well done that you can tell when certain scenes are shot with either different lenses or film stocks, like the scene where Ripley and the Alien Queen first face off. The shots where you see the queen are really clear and the shots of Ripley are really grainy. But the film look is preserved. It's not too cleaned up to where things start to look like video, which really annoys me. So come Prometheus time, I'll be having an Alien/Aliens screening with the bluray versions for sure. I'll be the geek sitting with my Hot Toys Power Loader and my Aoshima diecast drop ships.
  21. I'd personally kick him in the crotch myself if we can get some either redrawn or Macross First cartoon out of it. Repeatedly!
  22. Don't you have to reboot it everytime? I mean the future already passed by twice on this franchise.
  23. Ah OK. I misheard Eli then. Gotta stop playng with the iphone while watching TV... lol. Thanks!
  24. Synchro cannon from Mospeada. I should move this thread because it's off topic but then I know we'll get the whole, why is the 1/32 Legioss project here? The answer is that that project has had a long history with this site and the members and it's one of Shawn's dream projects. I'll move it later.
  25. There's one thing I don't get... The crew of Destiny thinks that the settlers they found went back in time yet they go to the planet and it's been desolated after a 2000 year occupation. If they were in the same timeline as the people that escaped and are on a 200 year journey, that means that they're the ones that traveled to the future of a parallel universe, doesn't it? For a minute there I thought that I miscounted and that was the series finale. The double timeline reminded me of Lost but if it ended like this, then SGU would have had a better finale.
