Brad Pitt only does slow boring versions of any genre he works on. Actually Tom Hardy would make a good Snake Plissken I think. Don't know if you were serious though... I love that scene. I worked with Rob Burman, one of the FX Make-Up guys in the original and I think I made him sick with all the questions I had about the film. But it seemed he liked answering all the questions. I'm pretty sure it's one of is favorite movies that he's ever worked on.

Someone (or a whole company that hires someone) whose sole purpose is to concentrate on defending themselves against negative comments obviously do not have enough positive things said about them to be proud of.

The problem with this story is that even though it's pretty original when it came out, it's been ripped off so many times that this will seem kinda cliche by the time it comes out. But it's easily one of Frank Miller's best when he was actually a great writer. I'm not at all against CG animation but the book is also loose and natural in style that the movements don't seem right. Like I said, it's all going to hinge on the interpretion of the story for me. Here's some older links to read thru: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/batman-year-one-first-look-180008 http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/batman-year-one-lines-up-179942 Should have the Gordon thing because it's faithful to the story according to Bruce Timm... that's one comforting thing is that Timm is involved. <iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/UuI3IAbyxAE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I hope this is gonna be good. It's actually one of my favorite comic books to read, just a hair above Dark Knight Returns. But I can't tell from the trailer. Animation is so so but the art looks OK in stills. They just have to get the story right I guess... <div style="background-color:#000000;width:520px;"><div style="padding:4px;"><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:670647/cp~vid%3D670647%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A670647" width="512" height="288" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="." flashVars=""></embed><p style="text-align:left;background-color:#FFFFFF;padding:4px;margin-top:4px;margin-bottom:0px;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">Get More: <a href="http://www.mtv.com/movies/trailer_park/" style="color:#439CD8;" target="_blank">Movie Trailers</a>, <a href="http://moviesblog.mtv.com/" style="color:#439CD8;" target="_blank">Movies Blog</a></p></div></div>

I guess if you keep loading the fishing hooks with any old worms there's always gonna be a bite or two.

It shouldn't have a true complex form because it's true form is a single celled organism that join with others to mimic other organisms, right? It's gonna be hard to assemble a cast like the original because there's so little actors with as much charisma as that bunch they put together back then.

Mckeever and co. are confusing themselves between the gladiators and the fans that leaned in too far and fell in with the lions.

Had to read it a couple of times. Now I get it... You might want to use some emoticons to show sarcasm or else you just read like a memobot with madcow disease.

Yes, we're all PWNED because some guy took everything we just heard from the panel and put it into blog form... but to entertain the idea that all of this comes to light... and by early 2012 you have your toys and your series. You're still sitting there holding a variant vinyl toy (not a new toy) watching substandard so called anime... Good PWNAGE, memobot, good PWNAGE indeed... While we're most likely enjoying Flashback 2012, a 30 year old classic that still can't be matched by today's HG standards and probably holding a 1/60 VF-4 Lightning by Yamato.

Guess I'll do US if no one else will. Like Valk-1S said. price of postage and envelopes. These things don't come in boxes right? you just mailed them in the envelopes? I'll put a piece of cardboard around them for extra protection if I do it. I got my replacements a long time ago, don't need any for myself. If you have a list the guys on this thread that are willing to can be divided into regions for cheaper shipping.

If only Robotech products worked as well as these memobots... lol.

just when I thought I was already in awe I check this thread again and my jaw dops once more. That detail is just so awesome and clean. Great work!

OUCH! Maybe "Ai hartu" translates to "take that"!

I meant to say that some of the output was done and being done after the Earthquake/Tsunamis... They did say that they created a charity that's going to the cause called I heart Japan. I never said they were heartless monsters, just clueless hacks with a franchise.
-
So let me get this straight... they translated comic books previously released in the US to Chinese and now they're gonna import it into the US? In Chinese? But they're stuck on another boat because of global economic meltdown? In the meantime, we're getting Macross the First (sure Macross Ace is being canceled but we still got how many of those issues?) we've gotten how many new toys, now we're getting a 2nd version of the VF-25, we're gotten a new series and 2 new movies based on the series and I don't know how many soundtracks with brand new material with the performers actually performing in actual venues. And some of this output is from the country actually affected by the Earthquake and Tsunamis. They sure make it sound like they're in the middle of some Tunisian desert cut off from all resources, instead of being in the heart of Hollywood right on Sunset Blvd. Do they have Jui-Jitsu dojos for jerking each other off? Because they really mastered that art.

They never really had a snout, but they do have long noses that makes their faces long. The design is a bit off to me too, especially the Thunderclaw but I'll gladly trade those things in for what looks like an interesting storyline and developed characters. The Wiley Kittens tidbit looked really good along with the central stuff. But if you miss the old designs like me, here's some news about some old skool stuff... http://www.poeghostal.com/2011/07/toys-r-us-announces-sdcc-exclusives.html

Wow... haven't looked forward to a cartoon series in so long. This is gonna be fun.
-
Yeah, there's really no need to go out and get malicious. At this point you can just sit back and watch them do it to themselves. Also, the thing with the people in charge with that franchise is they love to read any news or comments about them, bad or good. This thread is probably the source of some of their wettest dreams. If you want to actively do something that makes them uncomfortable then ask them about new toys, new cartoons and new developments of anything Robotech without making it sound like you're demanding it. Just ask them if they're actively working on some new product and not just sitting on their asses everyday and thinking of new ways to string along their "fans" or memobots as I like to call them. I KNOW YOU'RE READING THIS... HEHEHE...

LOL! Wow that panel was awesome... and by awesome I mean pathetic... Steve Yun: We found a cracker that Reba West partially bit into while recording the bumper "Back to Robotech" on episode 19... Robotech Fan: WHAT? ZOMG! Steve Yun: Yes... just when we thought there's was nothing else to bleed from this franchise... we started going thru the recording session floor. Other Robotech fan: Did you check the closets? Steve Yun and Tommy Yune slyly nod at each other... Kevin McKeever: Hey what about me guys? Steve Yun and Tommy Yune slyly nod at Kevin... Kevin: Well... we have to save something for AX2012, don't we? Robotech fans: Skeet! Skeet! Skeet! Skeet! Skeet! Skeet! Skeet! Skeet! Skeet! Skeet! Skeet!

Alto Saotome = Alan Spears (has to have some sort of wild game name like Hunter or Archer) Ranka Lee = Renee Leonards (has to be related to previous RT character) Sheryl Nome = Sheila Newman (because Nome sounds like Gnome) I'm pretty sure Tommy says those things to piss off the curious wandering Macross fans in the audience that may be listening. I mean that's what I'm assuming his creativity amounts to.

What? First Michael Bay and reused island footage and now Bandai. Can't trust your eyes anymore. I shoulda swallowed the red pill instead.
