After the rabbit... I'm trying to complete the "Sunset Beach" Diorama! That includes the soldier... millhouse. So it can be scaled down to 1/100.

At first I thought it was the Experten Kit, but it's not ball jointed and casted in color. That also had a pilot that maybe came separately with it... can't remember.

Hi Jardann... You're right. I think I placed the 1/72 Rabbit next to the 1/60 scaled valkyrie. The Rabbit and the Valkyrie are actually the same in length according to Macross Mecha Manual but after adjusting for all the seat placements and figure height the rabbit is actually bigger by an inch in 1/72 scale. So this will actually a bigger model kit than shown, but staying at the already modeled 8.5 inches (21.5cm).

Pretty much I guess. You can think of it as a business decision or a conspiracy, depending on how angry you are. But it's still far from the $60 price point you originally thought about.

You have to factor the fact that Arcadia uses top Manufacturers... the rising cost of of those manufacturers and materials, outbidding people that want the same scheduled manufacturing, the cost of running a business in Japan, packaging (including designers and packing). Just look at the cost of similarly sized third party transformers with similar quality and then imagine a lower production number . Yes, the people that buy Third Party Transformers do outnumber Macross fans that buy high end product and then imagine if those people pay licenses. In fact compare those 3P transformers toys and then imagine how many times they get to reissue them and then rerelease them in different colors without changing the mold.

Lol. There's a huge difference between customizing, kit bashing and scratchbuilding. What's needed here is straight out scratch building. Annd I don't see the big deal about people complaining about not getting a faithful TV version SDF-1. People were thrown for a curve ball. To expect people not to say anything would be be the dumb part.

They're just taking pitches for a sequel. Sony just came off a horrible summer. With the latest craze for cinematic universes, they'll be putting out feelers for anything that might be viable... (robotech), but they won't have the budget for a lot of these projects.

I'm looking at the parafilm and it looks too flimsy to me. I say just get some transparent vinyl if you're going to cut it by hand yourself. That was just me looking thru what I had at the time to finish a custom. Thanks!
