    Yeah, it's not out yet except at some magical Walmart in Florida, they're on clearance already, as I've been "informed." If you want to compare Yamato to anything Transformers, they're more comparable to Fans Projects or that new Devastator/Hercules by TFC Toys. Like SpaceCowboy said... limited run by a small company. Hell, the 3rd party ppl don't even have to pay license and royalty fees.

    I mean do we have to repeat the reason why those toys are cheaper everytime the argument starts up? Also, how much is the MP10?

    I think it's the scale... I have the picture with Aramaki's scribblings on it and it looks awesome because the picture is huge... like poster size. But at 1/72 all the detail he added looks really cramped.

    Again... With or without HG in the way... those bubblegum crisis toys that Yamato USA put out were about 60 - 75 bucks and they never hit retail stores. The Yamato valks were more readily available than those were... Adding HG into the mix would only equal to merchandise with Toynami quality. (No thanks!) The only thing that would put Macross or Robotech toys in the retail stores would be new animation or a live action movie. And there's no studio that would put money into Robotech or any American studios that would recognize Macross. LOL! I guess there are people that still believe what HG tells ppl in those panels.

    As much as HG wants that license, no one else does and to tell you the truth, that whole HG embargo thing is kind of a joke. It's not like we see a slew of Japanese anime items in the toy aisles, especially the quality that we're use to. I mean where's the toys of animes like Evangelion, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop... properties that have no licensing issues... The most we'll ever get would be something like Thundercats from Bandai, something that's intended for the US market, but I don't think those toys will muscle out Transformers, GI Joe and Star Wars or the superhero stuff. Everything from Japan that not an american property still costs a lot, only gets sold in specialty stores or the internet, Gundam... SOCs... whatever.

    A tread would be cool. From what I remember this is in soldier mode non transformable. It was due spring 2011. It's now fall. I wonder if they still have a whole line planned or they're just gonna release this one.

    I think it was discussed earlier that 1/72 would be super tiny for a legioss. That would be the equivalent in measurements to a 1/100 valk. It's a shame because they added new detail put in by Aramaki himself. Lol. I almost typed Kawamori. I'm interested in it though. It might be our best representation of a legioss yet.

    I'm already working on something to help out people with cracked 1/60 VF-1 shoulders. If it works out and if it happens to the 19s then I'll do the same for it. I'll be sure to give the person I sold it to a free set.

    Ugh. I just sold my 19 to a really good member here maybe a month or 2 ago. First it was hinted soon after that there's gonna be a new one and now this. If I would have sold it on eBay or Craigslist I wouldn't worry about it or maybe even feel like I dodged a bullet but I hope this doesn't happen to the one I just let go. I let it go for supercheap but I'm still hoping it doesn't turn out to be a lemon.

    That guy needs what Hollywood would call a "reboot!" And calling us haters is not an insult. Part of fun on this thread is watching the sitcom type entertainment from HG that our hate generates.

    I think you went a bit overboard with the panel lining this time, lol. And the red lines on the leg look hand painted if I'm not mistaken. YOu need to use a bit more thinner or something or just tape it off and use a spray. Also, what's wrong with the dor panel on the left arm? Did you just forget to close it?

    Hughes is one of my favorites, but sometimes he makes up faces that are too far from the character. Like some of his Wonder Woman drawings look like Cher. Just found out who EJ Su is. I've seen his work around but never really connected that he did all of those drawings. Pretty talented. Close to Frank Cho but a bit more mechanically inclined. Awesome stuff.
