  1. I thought the Yamato's torso as too squat... I ended up making a piece for the back to prop up the body... looks a lot better.
  2. The Yamato was based on a resin kit while the Bandai Koenig was engineered as toy on a CAD program.
  3. That would be awesome...

How would people know if they didn't even buy it. Don't cry for it and then don't support it.

They tried the other valks with the VF100 line... failed...
  7. Hey there animelinku! You can email them at macrossworldconvention at gmail dot com. I'll also alert them of your post.
  8. Isn't her origin the same as Daredevil? A truck carrying radio active chemicals? Would be funny if it was the same company.
  9. They better! But the Glaug is next! I do think that we should start a new thread for every new toy/mold but I feel like this thread is way behind on the discussion... start one for the Glaug! Let me just paste this here to help search functions... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41926&p=1224620

There's actually 2 sides to the argument. People that want three got three because these are regults and there was not really a lot of time where you saw just one. Plus buying as many as you want actually helps to let the toy companies know that people DO want these types of toys. The other side of the argument is that people buy multiples to sell later... which I'm sure is true but you can't really call out people and tell them not to buy just to save pieces for other members. There's no information anywhere that says other members are there to buy these "extra" items. Also consider that the 3 minimum cap is there to cap the number scalpers can buy. Who's to say that they should stop at 1 or 2 when they decide that 3 is the number that keeps the scalpers at a minimum?
  13. If you can find the Macross This Is Animation Illustration Poster Book, the mecha version, that's one of the posters inside. No logos and on good card stock. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/books/art_tiaillustrations.htm
  14. Nice! The one thing I want to change in future kits is have the figures in clear resin so you won't see the stand and the visors will look more realistic even at that scale.
  15. Great! They find water on Mars. How about turning what ever tech try used towards California? Seriously though, I think the significance here is less about colonizing and more about finding some sort of microscopic life. The last thing we need to do is nuke the place but of course it's the first thing we think of.
  16. There's actually someone in the Fan Art section making valks in 1/200 that can be easily scaled to 1/285. I don't think he's done Frontier valks just yet. You might want to ask if he has any plans for it. Look up nismogtrr32. He's got some real nice models at Shapeways.
  17. Puuuuurty cooooool!
  18. Yeah... saw that. I'm starting to like that scale too! Darn you!
  19. Well, some of the things people are asking for are starting to come into fruition and they're not as cheap as they thought it was going to be... so it seems that either Arcadia's Mr. K was genuine with his article or now people will say there's an even bigger conspiracy.
  20. Dude, Tomytec just announced 1/144 valks... kiss your wallet goodbye... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=43003

  24. That's pretty much it on the middle. A lot thicker but the same as the one on the right. Thanks to mechtech for introducing me to this since I hate the smell of the ones up top. Plus it's non toxic, no cancer causing fumes... not as strong though but it works fine with styrene. If I need anything more I just use glue or plastic putty.
