    Weird. I see the exact same forum logged in or out... tried it in Chrome and Explorer. I haven't upgraded to the new Firefox, but that's what I mainly use.

    Seems like they're just filling the space between a prime and a newer mold by trying to keep Igear from coming out with any more of their offerings... they're a step behind though. Igear is already pushing everything else. Kinda makes you think that Takatomy can't actually go after 3rd party if they're playing Igear's game.

    Regardless of which cartoon was more impactful I think he hit the nail on the head on why the Robotech fandom and "staff?" I don't know what to call them but it's not creators, get such a bad rap. It seems like ever since Carl Macek took the "crown" of the Prometheus of anime to the westerners it's been more about kowtowing to those involved with the franchise than the franchise itself. But his review pretty much sums it up to the simplest terms and it's all about how insulting Robotech is to the people that truly deserve credit.

    I'm kinda with you... Maybe I just got used to the VF-171 but for some reason this old favorite has not aged well for me even though it looks spot on. Yamato did a great job but something isn't doing it for me.

    I mean it's cool if they put the bits into a computer screen in the background as an easter egg or even re animate the footage into the current story as an homage. But to make an announcement about this is just more of these guys congratulating themselves for something so lame. And they do it long before the release and before they even see what a bad idea it is. I guess they don't want to miss out in the inter office bro hugs.

    I enjoyed it. Predictable and all the insanity of the original softens the surprises, but still in the same level of creepiness and grossness. I guess I wasn't really expecting much. lol.

    I've already lost interest in the VF-17 because of the price. Though I appreciate Yamato's engineering and wouldn't want them to make it any other way (well making them more durable the first release would be good). But manufacturing them at that level is just getting too expensive for me.

Not a storyline that needed an extra 30 minutes. No where as good as the pilot episode.

    I like the set. I wish I had no idea it was Voltron because I would have been digging the clues just from watching. But yeah it's largely miscast... They should got Tilda Swinton as Pidge. lol. I mean seriously was that a guy or a girl? I gotta disagree. I think it's a good idea to let franchises grow with the audience it first captured, but there's a way to do it to where it can be enjoyed by both. Actually I think children cartoons are too dumbed down. Even as a kid I wish Voltron, Transformers and GI Joe were a bit more sophisticated. If it wasn't for the animation, designs and concepts I would've tuned out faster than I did. But I don't think I'll be ready for a BSGized Voltron show, which is clearly what this was.

    cool. I'm also working on some side covers. There's not enough people to warrant a mold so I'm making it digital print outs too. I have the prototype and works out well, I'm more or less working on bringing down the costs. Printouts are expensive!
