The Red 1/55 VF-1S Hikaru was only ever released as a strike (with an extra Fast Pack Booster for a non strike version) back in 1984. It was never part of any rereleases by Bandai, just like the Ostrich, Elinseeker and the GBP armor.

Remember that while you are paying for shipping outside of Japan, you don't pay for taxes when ordering from HLJ. When you ask a friend to buy it for you within Japan, they will have to pay taxes and then charge you for shipping. As far as I know there's no sales tax when ordering directly from HLJ since the last time I placed an order. Customs are a whole different story though.

An exercise in futility... you really want a whole thread based on HG stringing you along? Hey! We have a new series next year! A new movie being developed! A new toy that should be released soon! Followed by all the members here making fun of them and calling them out. You'll pretty much get something like this thread or better yet, just like most of the threads on RT.com... You should just subscribe to McQueefer's blog. In other words... No! Na-a! Nope! No way! nyet! non! Nari! Nu! Hindi! Ne! Nie! Ei! Nee! Nein! Nahin! Nah! Iie! NEVAAAAAAAAAAAAR! It's sweet of you to ask though...

To me the story of Hikaru, Misa and Minmay ended with the series which was retold in DYRL. I don't really need to follow a character to their death especially fictional ones. You make stories out of the most important part of the protagonist's life... in this case protagonists. Flashback is a great piece of animation but it's just used to expand and relive the moments in the Space War 1 and a chance to say farewell to the 3 main characters. Sure we see Max and Miriya in Macross 7, but they're still just important side characters. Macross 7 is Basara, Mylene and Gamlin's story. I could have done without knowing what happened to Indiana Jones after the last crusade or John Mclane after Die Hard 3. Actually, I could have done with just the first movies for both of those.

Prometheus - on Blu-Ray and DVD Oct. 9, 2012
EXO replied to Pizza the Hutt's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That could be. But it seemed like it was more cargo than it was an after thought because of the laser. Now was laser put there as a tripwire in case someone goes in or (gulp) something crawls out? I would suspect that it wasn't to signal if something comes out because if anything out of all those eggs came out without knowledge then it's too late for anyone. Maybe it kept the eggs in stasis for the journey. Again, I don't expect any of these to be answered but it did add a layer of intrigue to the movie. It made the world seem more real because there was function and reason beyond what was needed to tell the story. It sells it a lot better. I feel like the Space Jockey was part of that. I hope they treat it well... but I'm excited to see this. If this turns out well, I'm going to be really excited about the Bladerunner sequel. -

I don't think that the facehuggers varied in size since all the eggs were uniform. My questions about the Space Jockey were: Is that a cockpit or a beam cannon he was sitting on? If it was a beam cannon, why was it inside the ship? Does it rise to the surface? In the trailer we see it elevate to the floor that the Nostromo crew found it. That's another thing... would that be the same space jockey if that's a prequel? Because why would he be placed on the seat and then get attacked by a xenomorph after the events of the upcoming movie? One last thing... is the ship right side up when the Nostromo crew found it or was the gravity controls still on? Because the eggs seemed to be facing right side up. I'm kinda surethe new movie won't answer the last one but it'd be a nice surprise if it did. -
I'm surprised that people are surprised it's a web exclusive. My question to them was how confident will they be if the VF-17 doesn't do well at it's price point? When at first people assumed that it was an unbuilt kit, I saw it as a logical answer but seeing now that it's going to be a fully assembled toy I'm still impressed that they are coming out with it. And good point Omega. With HLJ stocking these up at a limited basis, web exclusives aren't that big of a deal.

Awesome! I've gotten inquiries about making a kit like this but I just don't have the time... I'll send everyone that PM'd me a message pointing to this thread.

It's not like this is the only movie or show that has Apple as a sponsor. The fact is they're instantly recognizable. You won't recognize other phones unless it's the one you have or you're some kind of smartphone nut. I gotta get me that virtual hallway app though... lol. That's one of my favorite things about this movie. They managed to make up new or undeveloped tech that seem to be getting harder and harder to make up for spy movies because technology is so amazing right now.

Yes... but not really. If you're going to watch it because you want to see Ving in action, you'll be sorely disappointed.

I do prefer some things to be kept a mystery because it makes the world a lot more wondrous. But if there was one person that I'd like to explore that subject it'd be the original team of Brandywine and Scott. And I guess we kinda got our Colonial Marine action with Avatar. I can't imagine the final battle being a lot different... well I guess I could've used less blue people and six legged jungle beasts.
