    Word! except buying DYRL... I'm just not buying BDs. I do want the extras though, even though I already have 2 Perfect Memory books... just can't justify it no matter what the Japanese pay for their sets. They clearly have more money for BDs and toys. I'm glad this is coming out though for the people that want. I'm really interested in some of those episodes, mainly Love Drifts Away in HD.

    I saw the Destroid sculpt... it was pretty good. I told him it might be 1/48 scale. I was shocked that they were even considering something like that. Alas, Toynami owns all those unused sculpts. Tomorrow I'm gonna sneak in to their warehouse, open up the warehouse garage door and start screaming... GO TOYS!!! YOU'RE FREE! RUN! YOU'RE FREE NOW!!!

    I think they should look at the toys and animation and redo all the official scale in the Macross Universe. I think Reïvaj and I already discussed this in the Yamato Regult thread, but the regult in 1/48 is only 12.5 inches tall according to official stats. (1512m in 1:1 = 31.5cm in 1/48) But Mike did a good job of scaling it according to animation (right? I'm guessing here.) But again in reality if you tried to put an 8" zentradi fig in there, it still wouldn't fit because of his stiff armor with oversized elbow and knee protrusions... but an 8" tall standing soldier would look appropriate next to a 19" regult, IMO.

    I don't think they pay any attention to each other. If they asked Otomo for script assist, he'd slam down the mangas on the conference table and walk out, to which the producers will ask, "What are these, Storyboards? Do we have enough in the budget left to hire people to read these things?"

    If you're uploading a new animated gif, make sure the proportions are below the forum minimum. 128x128 px? Not sure. If you allow the forum uploader to resize it for you, it'll change it to a non animated pic. That wasn't the problem before, I just had to reset it. I think the forum upgrade did something to all the gif avatars though, that's why there's a lot missing. If you had one before you just need to re-up it.

    A standard soldier Zentradi is 10m tall. Of course they all vary as the height of the spies can tell you they can be as short as 8m. In 1/48 scale a standard zentradi grunt or pod pilot is 20.32cm.

    Tetsuo at the end has to be a total gross out, more than the anime. Something like Gary Oldman in Hannibal but 20 stories tall... But they'll prolly go the Fantastic Four or Green Lantern route and make him a huge cloud.

    They're freakin huge. I have the Aliens Power Loader and I'd have to take it apart just to put it away... which is something I dont want to deal with, cuz I don't want to break anything. But I've always regretted not getting the ED-209... even now that I hear about the grill tearing apart I still think it's worth the money it was originally going for. I seriously want a Robocain though. I'd Quora if it looks anything lie Olivia Wilde. But I agree it's not worth getting the lightcycle or anything else from that movie.

    Built in Audience should be a banned phrase in anything... it's pretty much means lazy. I'd say "good for the studio" for scrutinizing projects and scripts, if I didn't know they were doing it with calculators. They have to reign in these out of control music video and commercial directors but not due to budget. How can they look at a board game like Battleship and say Built in audience? I don't think I've ever played that game and thought I need a movie about ships and 4 giant red pegs landing on them.

    I'm talking about unlicensed figures in China. We already know about that kind of stuff like Sigourney and Michael Biehn not allowing their likenesses to be made into toys. And Jobs isn't a copyrighted character from a movie, the situation is more like the Obama action figures. It's a Jobs estate that should be suing unless Apple registered their CEO likeness or can prove that Jobs is synonymous to Apple Corp. But this could also affect the toys being made of Harrison Ford as Robot Hunter or Bruce Willis as City Cop. It's their way of saying it's not based on the character but based on celebrity figures. Anyway, trying to stay away from making this a political discussion. anime52k8: it'd be funny if you can replace that robot head into a clear dome and stick the Jobs head inside a la Futurama.

    Oh man. Complete edition comes with a reprint of perfect memory too. I guess it better. At those prices they should reprint all the this is animation books and add in a pachinko game. I'm just wondering if that means PM will be available again.
