  1. Interesting to read casual fans comments.
  2. I thought it was a pretty good caricature of Burt Reynolds, pre-facelifts.
  3. anyone seen these?http://www.collectiondx.com/news_item/11712/metalbox_tackling_sd_macross
  4. Wow, the fox is hand painted? Very nice job!
  5. knurled pins are not a problem until you start playing with it. Just replace the pins right away. It's easier than looking for replacement shoulders, probably cheaper.
  6. If you're just starting you're collection you might want to think about scale and go with a 1/60 first. Unless you dont care about scale.
  7. oh... look who comes around once in a blue moon and talks like an expert!
  8. As far as I know only one company made "alphas" lol. I just had the toynamis. Bought the blue one. Thought the QC was crap but I pre ordered the green and red anyway thinking they would do the fixes since ppl were so vocal about it. But the two that came after fell apart faster than the first. The CMs were more solid but I think it looks like crap. They really took away everything I liked about the legioss design and added some weird compromises that I just don't agree with. If you can get passed it aesthetically, Id say get the CMs. If not skip both. Concerning the toynami tlead. I love the solidness aside the 80s engineering but I didn't like the Gakken style cockpit drop down in soldier mode.
  9. I had all 3 Alphas. Now I have zero! They first one sucked really bad and unlike other companies that improve their products with every release, these gradually got worse. Didnt they recall the last one?
  10. drool.
  11. You can pretty much say hello here on this thread... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=33610 I should change the title to reflect that...
  12. I love Legend! I'm probably alone there... lol. Tim Curry as The Darkness was awesome. Also Enjoyed Black Rain. Worst ones are Hannibal and Robin Hood as mentioned.
  13. That was the video for Love Drifts Away. It was about war and how it seperates families and soldiers returning. The live footage adds to the weight of the lyrics.
  14. Just got mine out of the garage... Strike Valk 1990 Reissue
  15. What eye change? that's a jpg.
  16. I didn't say they would... I just said that's the kind of exposure an animated show would need to garner some success.
  17. Current fans will watch anything with the tag on it, but under a different staff, good solid story with good animation and designs, you'll always draw new audiences to a fresher, unencumbered product. Another necessity would be to get it on an actual network that people watch. Channels like The Hub, Cartoon Network, or even Syfy or FX. Sadly for them, none of those things will ever be put into place.
  18. When I bought my Robocop and Aliens figures their pre-order prices were awesome, better than other places online. I think you also don't pay tax if you're not in the same state. They're down the fwy from me, so even though I paid taxes I saved on shipping. But like I sid I haven't been buying Hot Toys or any 1/6th figs for a while now. Actually sold off some.
  19. I used to get mine from cornerstorecomics.com haven't bought anything in a while though.
  20. I remember I guess it'd be around 1983, the L.A. Times had a free Magazine that came with it called Home. There was an article on Japanese giant robot toys. There was a picture of the Golion toy next to a VF-1J. I thought "hey that's the toys I have" and it described Macross as the best animated series the reporter had seen. That was before we even had a VCR so the concept of renting or somehow getting it imported to watch was foreign to me. So the idea that they were going to air it as Robotech made my head explode. I wish I still had that article clipping.
  21. EXO

    3D Prining .....

Getting ready for the next April Fools joke?
  22. meh. at the same time you're making a major issue of a minor post. They guy just spent a lot of money, regardless of what it's on. Let him release a bit of frustration. Just because he doesn't love it as much as you do doesn't mean you have to begrudge him and belittle his opinion. If he kept harping on about it then I'd say have at it.
  23. Wow. I can't believe it's this close to completion! It's been a long time coming, I bet you're excited. Are you going to break a bottle of champagne on it?
  24. weird because I got that email and then someone mentioned it to me. Then I had a dream this site got hacked because of my profile over there... Woke up and changed passwords on everything. That's really crappy crap to happen to a good site like that.
