Awesome. I was actually working on the same thing but it's great that someone got it out. Polyamide or what Shapeways call White Strong and Felxible (WSF) is paintable. Here's a link to where someone panted my Thundercats sword replacement. http://www.thunderca...42/2/#post20583 But I think the preferred way to color it is to dye it. Shapeways has a page on it http://www.shapeways...ials/dyeing_sls But this guy has a better tutorial http://home.comcast....uzzlePieces.pdf Dyeing would of course guard from scratches. Great work!

hopefully updates next week... all you guys ordering those other stuff from Shapeways is killing me!!! They need to open one up here in LA.

haha... quick and dirty? Doc: Brown: Sorry Marty! Please excuse the crudity of this model, I didn't have time to build it to scale. Marty McFly: It's good!

Not Hikaru, though... they didn't even draw the rest of his body and arm behind the HUD glass.

Hey Renato... there's a thread in the models section about the auction post that Shawn made. Yes, not every news piece will or should have a thread created, I would say most news post will be based on member's posts that have a thread already. Creating a thread simultaneously is an option though so the news author has a choice of not having to make the post twice. If a duplicate thread is accidentally created, just let any mods know to either merge or delete it. I originally retired the Toys scoop thread because I knew about the News Site and no one was really posting on there anymore. But now that the main site has been implemented I have been thinking about reactivating it because it actually might aid in the gathering of toy news. Maybe there should be one in every major section, not sure yet.

Meh, who knows which came first... the valkyrie illustration is lineart and someone slapped Hikaru on top and colored ... but definitely not Yune... unless he use to draw better back then. it's not that they're gun shy... it's that they are directionless.

The initial bias against Bandai was probably because of their mis-step with the version 1 VF-25s. But other than that they built a better Koenig Monster, the awesome Infinity SD VF-25, the Alto EX-Gear figure (which is probably the best Macross action figure ever made, not that there's a lot). The Macross Quarter. I think most of their greater achievements have been one offs that have never been reissued or doesn't enjoy an extensive recolor of some sort. Until the Ver.2 25s came out.

Hi, you just happen to sign up as we launched the new main page for our site too. Part of the project will be to update the database to point out all the different releases and hopefully even the minor bugs of each version. Also, the Reivaj's screen name isn't bridge bunny... that's his post count rankings. Which don't really mean anything here on MW. Enjoy your stay.

nice! Thanks a lot Tober!!!

Ridley Scott is on the 3D bandwagon 100%. Just google his name and 3D and you'll see what I mean. -
Each figure is $15. The Red and Green lions are $35, the Blue and Yellow are $40 and the Black is $50. Sven is an exclusive figure if you bought the subscription, which is pretty much the cost of the figure. Depending on where you are, I guess it could go up to about $80 bucks each time when you add tax and shipping...

It was just a surreal/magical way to transport her back to the night of the concert. Think of it as an actual video with special effects. I mean, you'd think she would have noticed the VF-4 landing in front of her right on the stage. The weird thing is, it would seem like that part of it was done 20 years later, if you didn't see the Megaroad and the VF-4 taking off at 2012.

The thing I hate more is the useless action feature. It actually takes away from the more conventional features like poseability. And the lion feet don't fold up right because of that, the feet stick out at the shoulder when it should be pointed in. Still want it... lol.

I'm not sure... I don't remember how the hands connected.

I disagree. The upward bend is from the arm being misproportioned to the rest of the fighter or the tab for the arms are misplaced. The more you try to close the gaps in the arms the more the rest of the plane bows. Most of the problems with the toy is the arms. The heavy die-cast in the forearms keeps it from being posed well. The hand crumbles. The missile bay doors break. The fins break. And it's all held in place to the body by nothing but the walls of the shoulder piece. It's not even thickened for reinforcement. For the rest of the body, the cheap materials are not really in any danger from stress points. The only complaint is that they didn't put good poseable joints at the hip joint. They were just relying on the fact that it hinged sideways for transformation but it barely helps for dynamic poses. If they would have just done the arms correctly, gave it better hip joints, get rid of the unnecessary die-cast, improve the materials and finally, allow buyers to customize it by using screws, it would have been a decent toy. With, the solid Beta, it would have been a killer combo and a great center piece to any collection.

Because toynami glued everything shut and everytime you remove a piece it crumbles into more and more pieces. Yeah. I tried.
