I'm kicking myself for not going to this, but it just wasn't in the cards.

And there's a reason why it hasn't... lol. Man, there's no frowny emoticon sad enough to put here to say how sad that is. I'm pretty sure diehard RT fans are just doing things like that to get a reaction from someone, or they're just really bored by now.

We can still screen the movie at con, but there's so many things going on this year that I don't think people would want to sit around in the dark all day. Also there's only one day for the con this year. We'll also be screening Flashback 2012, Some of the episodes or select screens from the Bluray of the series! And I'm pretty sure I'll have a surprise or two. No... I won't have the VF-4 there... I wish. If it's a small gathering we'll have it at a house or something, but with anything more than 15 people we'll need a place with bigger accomodations, like I said I'll talk to the TF guys this weekend. This will be a small event though, a meet up. Please don't mistake it for the MWCon. That's awesome. I hope to meet more new people at the screening.

For sure... I want to make sure it's not going to be on a 50" screen and a surround system has to be in place. Going to meet them this weekend but the place is almost all glass. I want to make sure we see a good projected image. I think we can get projector and sound system for free.

They were pretty good especially upconverted. The best version was Hurin's subbed DYRL ripped from the Laser disk I think. Unfortunately someone stole mine.

It's a slim chance until they feel they exhausted all the other valks with screen time. Keep a look out how the VF-4 does and we'll find out whether or not Yamato thinks these toys based on obscure valkyries will make good web exculsives. Also spread awareness and let people know that these things are available. It's amazing to see how many would be Macross fans are out there and all they need is a little wake up call.

Just because you don't care much about it doesn't mean it's a big deal. I know it's popular to mention that there's fanboy rants on message boards but the disc was released YESTERDAY. And it is a big deal. The more people accept things like this the more directors/producers/artists will feel free to change artform that has already been a part of culture for a long time. As far as I'm concerned they can change it as long as they release the original versions on a different format or if it's remastered. I find it funny that that kind of statement is coming from someone that gets offended when someone reposts their work as their own, even though it's based on someone else's creation.

Good answer but then again... I brought this up somewhere else, the dfference between Ridley Scott and the the other movies with changes is that the original or alternative versions are made available, giving the viewer choice. That's why no one ever made a fuss about Blade Runner, Alien or Legend. And for that matter Cameron did the same with Aliens and The Abyss.

Yeah. That's why I mentioned the other two toys. I'm just saying its always gonna be in the back of some people's heads. These guys do amazing feats of engineering.

I'm really happy about the scheme. I'm always asking for gray versions of every valk. I guess I should be careful of what I wish for. I'm also wary of the standing issue, though I can't see myself displaying it in anything but fighter. It's just about knowing whether it can stand or not. Although we had the same conversations about the QRau and the Beagle Mospeada. But looking at the pictures, how can we not have doubts?
