  1. Where did the all the pics go on this thread? Here you go, for got about this thread... http://www.macrosswo...ic=32804&st=210
  2. yeah... Shapeways have been sending me notices that parts are too thin, but these are things that I've paid good money and tested to see if they would print and in some instances I've sold already. Honestly if I can sell these as resin instead of the white strong and flexible material they have, my choice will always be resin, hands down. Because that stuff takes so much time to prep just for painting and their quality material is way too expensive. The sad thing is I have to mail these myself. lol. But they now also charge for set up fees and shipping, where they didn't use to, so almost all the advantages that Shapeways use to have is starting to dwindle. the one advantage they have is that there's no inventory to store. With resin I'm going to need a minimum order, somewere above the 20 mark. I'll start a list to see if a run is viable. I have no idea if it is since I thought I got everyone the first time around.
  3. that's prolly where the interest came from. I just bought the Yamato ones from Vi-RS myself but it was only for the neck piece and egress... I do prefer my own that holds the arms in place, unlike other people I really don't consider those hinged joints extra articulation... lol.
  4. Cool, just to remind people, the launcher only attaches in cycle mode to Rand/Ley's Mospeada. Scott/Stick has missiles already and they get in the way. Please check original images on the first page.
  5. These will be white resin... I won't be doing the recasting myself this time but as everyone knows from before I like to ensure quality and these will be up to standards. Awesome... that reminds me, I have to go thru my PMs and point people this way...A lot of people say that they never saw this thread or the Mospeada one... but I had it there, here and the for sale section...
  6. Hi guys. With Yamato introducing option parts I thought there would be no interest in these anymore, but instead I'm getting more PMs. I had these on Shapeways but I took them down because of lack of quality of their prints and the thickness all of a sudden being an issue. Now I can get these recasted which would mean a smoother surface than the cheapest Shapeways material. I'll see if I can include a standing generic pilot in there. Here's the prices I'm looking at Basic set (side and neck covers) $20 Complete set (side/neck covers plus dual seat lift) $25 Thanks.
  7. Hi guys... I'm getting some PMs about this and the 1/60 VF-1 side covers sets... I'm wondering if there are enough people that would want these. Obviously the prices will go up since it's been 2 years since I've originally offered these. I had them up on Shapeways and they were available with no paint and need a lot of surface work unless you get the more expensive material. Right now I'm looking at $50 a set, unpainted but it'll be nice and smooth resin. Rocket Launcher will be $20. Let me know.
  8. looking great, what material did you order it in?
  9. do it! Same companies...why not. Did you get them?
  10. yeah... it's like a choose your own adventures for the director... just saying that they tried to link it even though somethings didn't make sense. I hope they give Fassbender the full on Magneto gear. I thought making the helmet look more like the books was great, I hated that skull hugger crap Gandalf wore.
  11. They never really stated that the price was going to be announced at Wonderfest. The translation to their post read as this, " Normal pre-ordering with no discount for the VF-4 is scheduled to start in August after the price is announced." There's a chance that the hobby magazines will have the final price before the pre-orders start.
  12. I can't find where the artist names are at. Renato, how about a link to your submission?
  13. It's really not just Macross toys. Actually Yamato is actually doing a great job pumping out these obscure valks, extremely obscure if you consider over all general pop culture. I was just checking the He-Man boards and their line is in trouble (once again). If they don't get enough subscriptions then they may have to cancel the line. Frankly I think they are undervaluing their property and license a bit. If Macross fans are willing to buy valks over $200 I'm pretty sure He-Man fans would be willing to pay as much for the Castle Grayskull.

I think the veloclear is from a new connex machine from Objet. The offer a horizontal build layer of 16 microns. Shapeways don't have those types yet. Can you tell I'm trying to make you my guinea pig??? LOL!
  15. toy and prolly no.

There's a company in Italy that does nice clear 3D print out. They're called Fast3D... Been to afraid to find out how much they charge, but they use Objets.
  17. Have you guys seen this thread? These guys are amazing. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=34651
  18. Looking at your various equipment and materials, I feel like the addition of Cup O'Noodles is genius! Why didn't I think of that?
  19. http://wildcats.pupu...7/post_350.html bigger than I thought.
  20. That's not the costume I saw, unless they've added detail to the surfaces.
  21. The set comes with extras of the opening sequence that shows how clean it can be without ruining the classic look of an 80's anime. SOmeone explained how that's probably a 35mm master, which explains the vividness, but it's pretty much an example of the quality I was expecting.Don't anybody get me wrong, the set is worth it to me and there's sequences that are just like that clean SDF opening. I also think the sound is a lot better. I'm pretty happy about my purchase. But there's always going to be that desire of that prestine look that I've been wishing for forever. In all fairness, there's sequences in Aliens that went from super sharp and clean to grainy. I'm guessing it's just what's available for the budget. If you watch the sequence where Ripley runs into the Alien Queen, you'll see the better resolution they have for the miniatures vs. the grainy pictures of the actors.
  22. No news. I didn't buy them because I wanted super and strike versions and especially if they did the Elint/Ostrich types.
