  1. Yes!
  2. I'm not really interested in a 1:72 Messiah, but it it means getting some 171's models then I guess it's good news. Especially if Hasegawa makes the RVFs.
  3. Hasegawa is making a 1:72 VF-25. http://www.macrossworld.com/3361/hasegawa-172-scale-vf-25-messiah/

    Kit's Power

Out of curiosity, what type of problems did they have with the kit?
  5. Here you go... the original was made by Creative Displays and TwinMoons use to sell them on MW. That was way back in 2005. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=15619&st=0&p=314871&hl=flexidisplay&fromsearch=1entry314871
  6. Flightpose never had the black tipped ones. From what I remember there was a different manufacturer for those. Really good quality. Solid bases and heavy. They were going out of business and LaF toys bought the patent and then they made changes and became Flightpose.
  7. 1/32 sucka! I can imagine the more unimaginabler!
  8. Just read this somewhere from that link: RoboCop (1987) Director - Paul Verhoeven When antagonist Clarence Boddicker (Kurtwood Smith) is taken to the police precinct after receiving a solid whooping by RoboCop (Peter Weller), Boddicker spits a bloody glob onto the paperwork of the desk sergeant, followed by the line "Give me my f*ckin' phone call!" Smith and Verhoeven briefly had discussed the unscripted moment before filming the scene but neglected to inform the extras - which was evident by their real and disgusted surprise as the scene unfolded.

    Kit's Power

So anyone ordering from this guy just opens themselves up to lose a lot of money thinking that they're saving money on other people's kits. Great... Thanks for the heads up, even though I think most everyone here already hates the guy.
  10. I've seen acrylic stick to surfaces really well and some surfaces where it comes right off. On some resin, you don't need primers. I guess just test it to see how it reacts. I clear coat everything, especially if it transforms. It won't save the paint from constant friction against other parts but if it's something that gets handled a lot, like a transforming toy vs. a model that just sits there, then a little protection matters.
  11. They're gonna fix up he whole suit in post to make it look more like fiberglass. Hand might be due to use of gun. Still meh on the design. It just doesn't have that awe inspiring first impression. That might be due to the internet, but when I saw the Iron Man suit it just felt right immediately, just like the first Robocop suit.
  12. I sold my extras but I made sure to keep some for customs that I want in that scale. I'm debating whether or not I should paint them all to be more realistic (weathered) and keep the 1/60s in pristine toy condition. But personally I wouldn't get rid of them. 1/60's are awesome and solid but I prefer the 1/48's bigger scale and sculpt over all. The only thing that bug me are the low hanging arms in fighter and of course it doesn't have the fit of the v.2s.

  14. Hey Grayson... This one?
  15. Muse is probably over used as far as soundtracks but on the new album there's a Bond type song called "Supremacy" (ironic). Maybe these 2 bands don't have anything Bond-like in their discography but The Blonds or Stooshe can probably manage it if they were asked. Too bad Amy Winehouse got wasted to bits and died before she turned in a proper Bond song. She really had that Shirley Bassey thing going. But if they can get Chris Cornell, they can pretty much get anyone across the board.
  16. Can't wait to see more of this... love BSG. Me too... this is another commission.
  17. She's really was the best part of the last one... I get my weekly dose of cheesy anti terrorist action with awesome gunplay with Strike Back. Best guilty pleasure ever.
  18. That's a 1/48 with captain's conversion kit.
  19. Are they really that grainy? Is it humid or really hot where you are at? Sometimes the heat causes thicker paint and primers to dry in mid-air and create a gritty surface. Maybe you should practice holding the can closer to a test surface. Also, you can always save those cans for later. Once you do a lot of painting you're going to understand when you need that type of primer. You just need the experience to know when to use what material. But if you must use them, then you have to sand if they really are that gritty.
  20. By regular stuff do you mean primer in a can? There are primers that have extra grit that needs to be sanded down before you apply paint. It's called filling primer. You don' really need it unless your surface is uneven. It's thick so it can fill up surfaces that are sunk and then you can sand it smooth. Usually it's needs a couple of coats before it becomes even. You use it if the unevenness is not enough for putty but too much for surface primers. Just use the Tamiya Fine Surface spray if you can. It's probably the only primer you need if you're just prepping for your Tamiya color paint.
  21. FYI, I used heat shrink tubing. I actually sold that one to Gilermo... so I have to do it again. I'll put a tutorial when I do.
  22. that's what she said.
