  2. Dunno if you can see this without an FB account. They're just student drawings. Not Macross.
  3. Yeah, at the time Joons were more readily available. If I had those boxes, I'd replace the contents with Bandai reissues. But then again I would never play with them, these customs make great displays though. jvm, I think the boxes with art from the show never got released. Takatoku folded up before the could sell them. I think one of the toys was a Max TV-1A.
  4. I just wanted to make sure people know that this isn't Kawamori's own personal wishlist. SV51 is not in the cards yet. It even says on the interview that he wants a chance of redoing it. I agree. the battroid version leaves a lot to be desired even though fighter is pretty good.
  5. I don't wish Robotech fans any ill will. It's fun to make jokes but to me it doesn't really mean anything. The thing I don't like is how people that run the franchise just sit on the license and basically make bootleg quality products, not just merchandise but the entertainment part of it reeks of crap. I mean the Love Live Alive project? The Robotech Shadow Chronicles which is not but IS Sentinels? It must be nice to sit in an office for years without doing anything at all. The Macross part of it means nothing to me. But as a Mospeada fan it seems like a waste. I agree with Renegadeleader and Azrael and this might not amount to anything for Macross fans, but for us Mospeada and Southern Cross fans, any closer to HG's demise is good news.
  6. Wait... Mr. K is... micKey mouse???
  7. I don't think Mr. K in the interview is Kawamori. Kyekye, does it give any direct link between the 2 on the interview?
  8. Here's the question I posted for some of the guys involved: 1. What are you happy about? 2. What you want to change? 3. Hopes if it continue (do you want to see it continue)? 4. Who do you want to thank? If anyone that attended or plans to attend next year, feel free to add your opinion.
  9. These customs were made in the early 2000s. They didn't make it to fool people, they were just custom boxes made by awesome customizers. There was a Max and Millia one also. Who ever got a hold of it passed it off as a rare original.
  10. I'm quoting you to hold you to it next year.... lucky bastid!
  11. Hope you don't mind but I used some of your images for the main page write up!
  12. Shawn's or Egan. Shawn's display might have ended where that DYRL script is.
  13. taran tana tan tanaaaa! That's me singing the Voltron theme that I heard in my head when I saw that picture.
  14. I'm not sure if Resident Evil and Metal Gear counts. It's almost as if there's not enough detail for them to bother with standard anime. The version they did of Appleseed was the CG with hyper-detail. I'd look towards Medicom for anime figures though. They did really well with their Akira and Evangelion stuff. Oh wait, they did Astroboy!
  15. I did those already... lol. They're in Shapeways. I do have some Mospeada projects in mind, like I want to detail up the those figures to be presentable in 1/32 scale and I want to make some 1/10 poseable figures for the beagle without their armor. But I'm free to talk about my own projects. I mean the finger thing should be a clue about the country of origin, as in bad taste as that is, it's already way more than I can say without getting in trouble. Alls I'm saying is save up or get rich for next year.
  16. I'm Lucius Vorenus and I approve this message.
  17. Arnold was awesome as Conan but the reason Conan was awesome was because John Milius was at the helm.
  18. I just +1 that in the middle of Argo!
  19. That explains it... the quickening! There can be only ONE!
  20. The 2008 prototype said 1/72. But they could have easily shrunk it from the CAD files. I'm hoping it's still 1/72 not 1/100.
  21. except for the super thick paint job, I would want that. Hopefully they didn't spend a fortune on it. Oh yeah... telling him the truth doesn't make you not an a-hole Rob! lol. I mean you still have that poor retarded guy as your avatar.
  22. Awesome thread! I'm not really that interested with Cloud Atlas but I've always supported original content in movies, but most of the good original content entertainment is on TV now. I'll be supporting by going to see Pacific Rim, multiple times if it's good. To me though, here's the biggest problem with the entertainment business that I previously posted here: Difficult and clueless. It's all these number crunchers and pencil pushers in charge that have no creative bone in their body. They just see formulas and gimmicks. The formula is simple... great stories made by great storytellers make great movies.
