Hi Kaju. Welcome to MW. I think the link you put up is not a hot link.

I'm with WDC though, you add in stats like that, then you should add in detail that supports it. I don't watch for it obsessively, but it always adds to the enjoyment of the story, sort of like Easter eggs. It won't destroy how I look at the film, I think it's always the story that counts more... but everyone likes the extra attention to detail. It really helps when viewing the movie multiple times... then again, I'll only watch it again if the story is worth hearing again. There was a thing in Red Letter Media where they compare the time it takes to travel in the Star Trek Enterprise in the old shows and in the movie. It's stuff that I wouldn't be interested in because I'm no Trekkie, but again it added to the enjoyment of the ultra fan. No one makes a big deal of it, it's just there for additional enjoyment. As far as the BWOOONG, yeah I remember it from War of the Worlds but even then they just stretched it from the big resounding THUD from previous trailers. I went to the movies this weekend and the best trailers were the ones that didn't have any of those sounds.

Nice! The 1/6 scale Akira was a collaboration between Bandai and Medicom. Bandai did the bike while medicom worked on the figure. I was hoping the would at least make a Tetsuo figure. If I had that set I would probably make the 3 little old kids for my display. lol.

I love that! Those would make fun toys.

Just saw this. Not really a lot of use for this, PM me if you really want it. I've uploaded the adapters that removes the need for the hinge. It makes for a more sturdier stand and can actually hold a 1/48 with Fast Packs. I had to create ones with angles that bank because removing the hinge means less pose-ability There should be enough variety to suit your needs. I've also renamed the product so the number of different ones won't be confusing. B2Y - Bandai to Yamato B2Y classic - the original ones that people have been purchasing that goes on the hinged part of the stand. Allows more pose-ability but won't hold heavier valks B2Y unhinged - comes in three varieties: level, Starboard (banking) and Port (banking) I've also bundled them up in different sorts for price breaks. http://www.shapeways.com/shops/exodigital Here are pics of the Unhinged version. I've angled the adapters forward so it won't be in such a climb (like the one shown here). You definitely need that square part of the base to hold the weight up of a 1/48. It'll tip over without it. http://www.shapeways...hops/exodigital

I'm wondering the same thing. You never know with these projects. Even Yamato never released the Lancer and the Ghost for the 30th Anniversary. If they don't apply for the license this winter WF to be shown at the summer one, then it'll be applied for at the summer WF to be shown at the winter 2014...

iO9: Why Robotech is the greatest love story of the 20th century
EXO replied to Tochiro's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I've never heard of that list.. And now I have to hunt you down for making me aware of it! Robotech didn't have silly sounding names? WTF? Because the guy thought Japanese names sounded silly and American names sounded more natural? Holy frakk, what a moron! And he thinks that someone should tell the Japanese that making up words is silly. Because Robotech has been in the English dictionary for how long? this coming from a guy that writes for the internet... a place were we use words like blog, derp and LOL. -

I actually just ordered some parts I had to redo. I was messing with the first ones and realized the arm hits the bottom of the deck when you rotate it. Just got them from Shapeways. I think I might have to reorder the whole lower deck again... aaargh! Money awasting!
