  1. That's a really good way to represent complex information. I've been reading Big'Uns incorrectly all these years.
  2. It hurts but there's always the manga. If you really think about it... Gunhed was there to prepare you for all the disappointments of Manga/Anime>Live action film expectations. So it was still ahead of the curve! Tenjin art rules!
  3. We have Aramaki posting awesome stuff on our wall! How cool is that?
  4. Reactions to preview screening? Pretty good! http://www.pacificrimmovie.net/news/reactions-from-pacific-rim-test-screening/
  5. Very nice Nel. That's how rough my sketches were for the MWCon2010 shirt. The cockpit area for the fire valkyrie needs some streamlining... otherwise it should look sharp after color. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=33668&hl=macrossworld
  6. Love the choice of decals Corey!
  7. You might have to mess underneath the head to get it to sit right. These are the same heads here. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=1942&p=891731
  8. I'm always going to prefer Shirow's lead female character design. The funny thing about them though is that, to me, the less skin you see, the hotter the they are. But then again Mila Jovovich as Joan Of Ark looked hot in armor... what's wrong with me?
  9. Thanks Renato! I'll look it up!
  10. What company makes those? They look great!
  11. I didn't want to break out my Subbed version but I searched online and all I can find is the dubbed version. If I'm reading it wrong then because it was a mistranslation and I can't understand a word of japanese so I can just trust you guys. But now I'm wondering why anyone would profess that they used to be in love with someone... makes less sense to me and totally ruins every meaning of the scene. It takes away the conflict and awkwardness of what Hikaru did. I got that he got closure when they were in his room. He already said that he hoped that Minmay would be happy with Kaifun in the in the scene before that. But the closure didn't mean that he was already into Misa. I'm going to add the animego subs to my blurays of the series... I guess I'll have a chance to re-explore that scene. I do think Hikaru is meant to get under your skin. I mean he stood up Misa for what? A lousy scarf? And he was always kind of an a-hole... I mean the guy shoved his fan racer in the middle of a precisely timed maneuver of an airshow, before he knew the capabilities of a VF-1. Frustration is part of the fun though, especially in the middle of a complex love triangle. But I do agree the last episodes were rushed but I think they did an especially great job tacking those episodes on. They're a lot better than a whole season of some tv shows today.
  12. Awesome! Oh and thanks to Mike for confirming the primer thing.
  13. Those Chris Beretta and Rob Beers heads I sold you are 10 years old. First thing I bought in these forums. You're not having problems with them are you? Did you wash them thouroughly before painting? They should be ok. If they were poured incorrectly then they would have fallen apart by now. They were pretty solid pieces. Let me know. Oh and the head lasers are from fulcy. Another solid kit maker from MW past.
  14. I'm still not over Carla Gugino in the first one,... whew!!! is it HOT in here? She was hot in Spin City also.
  15. You guys are bringing it!
  16. I didn't really see it as resolved in Episode 27. In fact right before he got in his valkyrie, Hikaru professes his love to Minmay and Misa was as good as gone when she left the Macross for Earth. It was by chance that he re-entered atmosphere and picked up her signal or else she was a goner for sure. On the valkyrie when they were flying towards the SDF-1 Misa touched Hikaru's hand but as far as we knew Hikaru's heart was still pining for Minmay. I never really saw any of them as annoying as they were pretty much all experiencing first love, except for misa who pretty much given up on it since HER first love died. During the Reconstruction, the love triangle picked up where it left off but the rest of it had a different feeling. But for me it was this "what's next?" for the Macross, not for the three. I believe the some audience would have been agitated either way, some people would have that "that's it?" reaction if it finished at 27 or the different overall atmosphere of the world after the big face off with Bodolza's fleet.
  17. Oh yeah! Blde Of The Immortal Figures! They came out with a 1/6 manji a while back but it was expensive as hell and the sculpt was only So-So... I bought all the weapons that came out a couple years ago hoping to sculpt the figures but can't figure out how to do the clothing... bastitch! They look kinda small for 1/6 btw...
  18. You know I researched it before and I read that the Tamiya Surface primer isn't acrylic. But the best thing to do would be to paint another piece with the primer and then try the lacquer on top. If it bubbles up then it is acrylic.
  19. Oops, thanks to grapetang for spotting my mistake... it's you can't spray lacquer over acrylic... not the other way around.
  20. Lol... when I hear "Danger Zone" it reminds me more of Archer now. Thanks Pyrox! I thought of that too, but they didn't have that conceit in the 70's. It started more in the 80's with Batman and progressively got worse... Backdraft in 1991, where Firemen rushed into blazing fires without their breathing apparatus. That's why I appreciate the hell out of the new Dredd Movie. I think Top Gun was ok about it... They had their "manly" exposition during their "manly" volleyball game.
