  1. New Soda Machines!
  2. Hopefully soon! Figures are en route! I'll post the cleaned up figures before it goes to casting.
  3. I don't know... I thought it got better when Frank Darabont left, so maybe it'll get better without Mazzara. As for the prison storyline, I'd like to see a really good reason for them to leave such a fortified secure place. The only thing I can think of is the promise of a cure. Beyond that, I can't see a point for the to go anywhere. Of course it'd be more exciting to get them out of the prison. Maybe it's time to start reading the books. lol.
  4. Wait a minute. I just went thru the thread and guess who is the one that started talking politics and is insisting on continuing. Several warnings have been posted on this thread. Don't post or even read it if you can't keep your personal feelings out.
  5. and 5,6,7,8...
  6. It's dead until someone realizes they spent money buying a license and had hired people to develop script after script. They can take the loss or recoup it by fastracking a crappy movie that has no budget and hope that it'll make enough just to break even. But that's a discussion for this thread: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=38408
  7. Tundrayeti will be doing the 1/72 sets for me. 1/48 will come soon after the 1/60 sets.
  8. Love it! Looks like you can use some of my ground crew figures. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=37831
  9. maybe I can do one with the whole set dancing gangnam style... the rope dance, the guy in the elevator, the guy in the yellow suit, etc. and put it up on shapeways.
  10. Moving this to other section. Maybe you can get more replies there.
  11. LOL... chase figure?
  12. These 3D printed ones are so much easier to paint! the whole crew should be here Monday!
  13. Yeah, I say everyone relax... (while I try to snag all the Yamatos I can...)
  14. It wasn't that they were pricing themselves out, it that they were really digging themselves into niche territory. And the audience/target consumer for most of the last releases were so limited, that the production numbers vs production cost were probably not ideal. So the prices couldn't be helped. It's was a specialty market. I mean the VF-4, VF-19P? I think while most of the members here wanted the Lightning, people weren't really holding their breath. What you got, you got for what it costs. The VF-4 and the VF-19 were masterpieces of engineering and without that over huge Transformers like market, there's no way you can produce it for what a MP TF goes for. And take a look at their prices. In fact, take a look at the number of members in this forum and then check out TFW2005.com's forum member count. It all came from Yamato's higher up's obsession with Macross. But I do agree with the sentiment. The prices were getting ridiculous. I had already concentrated my collection on only Macross and Mospeada items and I still can't keep up. But like Graham said, Yamato did a huge service. They stepped up.
  15. It's this one. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/_bandai_super_vf1s.htm It has a rounded face instead of the flat one Found this review http://www.collectiondx.com/toy_review/1990/vf1s_super_valkyrie_roy_focker_special
  16. So you wake up to a zombie apocalypse after getting shot, had to kill your best friend that's been banging your wife, who may or may not have been pregnant with his kid and then your kid had to kill her after giving birth to possible bastard and you find her remains devoured by a walker, and now you live inside a haven that most people spend their life trying to get out of, in the mean time some crazy cult leader is on his way to storm your prison... big deal...
  17. what's up with Rick???
  18. Let's close this one and post in this new thread. They're pretty much the same anyway... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=38499 Adios Yamato thread... you didn't really do anything for us.
  19. Mospeada's back...
  20. Arcadia couldn't get the 1/60 scale license so they'll have to make everything at 1/61 scale from now on. Unfortunately they'll have to do the whole VF-1 series first.
  21. I agree, I'm hoping for more reissues because they just came out too fast this last few years. As for new valks at this point they either get the Frontier license or everything else is icing on the cake. Getting the VF-4 released is more than I hope for. Despite the many issues their toys have, they really raised the bar for not just Macross valks but toys in general, I think as much as Hot Toys and the Masterpiece line from Transformers. I was honestly just hoping for Bandai 1/55 reissues when I first joined here but those Yamatos after the 1/48 just had to make me collect. Great job by them and hopefully more amazing things to come from Arcadia. I'm actually excited about the Hikaru figure and cockpit. I was actually thinking about a custom like that in 1/6 scale but I'm already sold at the thought of getting it from them. I wonder who's engineering it?
  22. Thanks for posting Save.
  23. haha... Creepy dolls and naked statues are the bread and butter of the Japanese toy industry. Wonderfest is probably 5% giant robots. For anyone that saw the proto, is Hikaru a really a man-doll? As in fabric and hair and not an all plastic action fig? I'd love a 1/8 all plastic figure with the cockpit.
  24. I was wondering why it was at the Good Smilie booth...
