  1. As we scrape the web for any new tidbits about this development... http://www.deadline.com/2013/03/material-pictures-financing-tobey-maguire/ that's all it said about RT.
  2. Great job Anubis!

  4. Colors and markings really make it...

  6. Is there a map that tracks just the TV shows path? All I've found are the comic book ones.
  7. Compared to other Sci-Fi movies about space explorations or even space sci-fi in general, I thought the last movie was really good. Except for the part where they shoot Kirk to a moon/planet (forgot which) that can survive a singularity even thought the planet is within naked eye's view, and on the same rock is Old Spock and Scotty are on, I thought it was a good adventure. J.J. needs to learn how to do an ending that matches his openings. I think, the years of continuously abandoning his TV series in the middle meant that he really never had to think of a smart ending ever. Super8 just bit the big one in terms of movie endings. Star Trek's ending was pretty typical when it comes to summer movies.
  8. It's all good. I tagged it... Really good scene though. I'm surprised I didn't see that ending coming. Now that I look back it was very obvious. I think it had to do with the speed they did it in and how much was going on with the show. It's a really good example of how to not stretch things out. Warning! Major Spoilers:
  9. Enjoyed seeing the Zero and SV-51. I'd be down with flashbacks if I wasn't too worried about them reaching the end of the origin story.
  10. Think of your hand pressing underneath glass. The part that touches the glass is clearer than the parts not touching it. Gloss is smooth so it mazimizes the surface that the decal is going to touch and adhere to. You can apply any type sheen clear coat on top to matte or gloss it again. But gloss reduces what's called the silvering effect. Also, when you apply decals, try to cut as close to the outline as possible, if you can't stay on the line, error on the inside. That way you won't be able to see the edges.
  11. Nope... no one ever said anything about it being a kit or a toy. It was just on display.
  12. I agree with Myk... killing him in the middle of the next season will be anti climactic... killing him at the end of next season is just dragging it out. Remember what happened to Heroes Season 2 when they let Sylar live... snoresville.
  13. This reminds me of the VF-25 v.1 toy. People thought it was good enough because it was the only game in town. But it was so off. It looked like the 1/55 version of the Messiah valk.
  14. Me. I can't work with liquid resin. I can work with hardened but I use a mask no matter what. I'm trying to get a down draft table in any case when I need to take the old dremel to a sizable chunk of resin. But I got allergic from the liquid form resin touching my skin not from breathing it. I wore gloves but you know those store bought vinyls only go up so far. I was pretty much in bed for months... Trained Jasonc to finish up my projects. Thanks Jason! As much as I've been painting for a while now, professorially even... I still run into issues with hot/cold paint. Mostly because some companies don't label their paint as Acrylic, Enamel or Laquer. This happens when I'm looking for a specific color. I've pretty much resloved to mix my own colors. The most important reason is you'll probably need the extra paint for touch up. I've done the whole spray the can into a small container bit. The last time, I thought I let the compressed air fizzle out of the paint so I closed the container and the next day I went to work on the model and the paint had popped leaving small specks of color on the model. Of course I had to strip and sand the beautiful finish I already had laid on there... Also, I'm starting to notice different properties of the same paint. For example, I've notice that Tamiya yellow doesn't last as long as the rest of the brand. You're better off buying the small bottles than trying to save money with the big, unless you paint a lot or use a lot of yellow.
  15. For some reason I just got what you meant with that drawing you did on the other thread by reading this. Maybe I misread it, but I didn't realize that those valks were back heavy. I don't have either one so I can't test it but an extended piece should work for that. And yeah... just to be safe, don't use anything but the Action Base 1 for the adapter pieces. And use the extra square on the base for better stability, even if you're not using any of those notches.
  16. Ok. There's always the one episode that redeems all the stupid things that happened before. This last one was one of those. Great episode.
  17. I'm sure some are... I'm not sure what the percentage are of the MacrossWorld panic buyers vs. the japanese panic buyers. For all we know only 5% of the merch being bought up there will end up outside of Japan. Most of it will probably end up in private collections within Japan.
  18. From what I hear, it's the same in Japan... but who knows... they could be scalpers aiming for us...
  19. Lots of pictures will do! Great progress so far!
  20. lol... what up my Ninja! told those guys to quit posing for pictures... worst ninjas ever!
