You're gonna run into a lot of crap you're not prepared for. I've been doing it for a while and while I've gone passed the beginner's stage, I'm still thrown for a loop. I'm trying to switch brands of paint right because the amount of paint i've been using lately is just ridiculous. And while most of it has been going good one small thing that goes wrong puts me behind by a lot. I just ordered a hose and it came defective. Now I have to wait for another one while the one I'm using leaks out as I'm trying to paint. Anyway, don't let that dishearten you. I'm just letting you know that most of what you're going to learn are thru misakes or just part of the learning process. I've had my first ever airbrush, an Iwata-C, for 20 years and when I bought it, I was a broke student, but it's lasted me all these years. I guess it's durable and in a way spending a lot then has saved me money all these years. I clean out by AB every week or as soon as it starts to shoot funny. In between colors or when I need to stop spraying for a while I run some windex thru it and then some water. When there's some stubborn paint that is dried up I get some acetone and a swab. Acetone is some nasty stuff though. Don't spray it around and put some gloves and your mask on. Didn't you say you had a part missing? Could it be leaking because of that?

It's pre-warning. Even when you explain that you're being sarcastic people use it as an excuse to jump in with their thoughts about a political subject that has nothing to do with any Macross subject. In fact THAT'S how MOST political discussions start here and it always gets followed by "I know it's off topic..." and "I'm just replying to this one last thing that someone else said and after that I'll shut my mouth about the subject" and then on and on. And it's harder to moderate once the topic gets out of control.

Agree on Minngmei. Just saying that a sign that she would put outside her own door is prolly the way she herself would spell her own name. Somehow Minmay became the way to spell it as her stage name.

There's a sign outside her bedroom shaped like a bunny where she spells it "Minmei". Forgot which episode it was.

Dang! 1/12 is a good scale! Yeah I remember that Landmate kit. I wanted it too. The first one I saw was the Alpha Ghost in the Shell. I bought a pretty good recast then I got the original and I never built the kit. I wish I can find the parts so I can paint it now.

I had lunch with Kevin to pick up my Low Viz. I think he used to work around the same area as me. When he told me it was limited numbers I bought another one. Then I traded for another one to some guy in Canada. Now I'm right back down to my original one. lol. It sucks because I admittedly abandoned buying from VEX when things started heating up for Yamato and everyone and their started offering competitive prices. Kevin was there from the beginning as one of the only dealers you can buy Macross Toys from and then everyone jumped on the bandwagon. My friends even started doing our group buys because it was cheaper to get it straight from HK. But you can definitely thank Kevin for getting people hooked on the stuff. He's a freakin' pioneer.

That's the WF kit right? What scale is it? I've always wanted to make one at 1:18 scale with a Ellie figure. That and a Gasaraki TA. Awesome!

gloss base is an additive to make flat paint glossy... not for use by itself.

I think it's the fact that it's different is why I want to check it out. A remake would make me cringe. I can't see anyone as Bruce Campbell as Ash.
