  1. Expensive display but I might just frame that sucker forever in fighter.
  2. I don't know who that girl is. I just copy/pasted the first post on google and that's what came out.
  3. The Customs Contest is the longest running contest Macross World Con has. It's the "Main Event". If you guys have any projects that'll be done by then, I suggest taking it with you to enter or just to share. But if you're gonna enter, better bring it! I've already heard of some pretty elaborate set ups for this year.
  4. http://www.macrossworld.com/4283/farewell-yamato-hello-arcadia-of-my-youth/ It's 1/8... all plastic. That's even better!
  5. just kidding... I made that helmet myself... lol.
  6. I think it was 1/12 IIRC was this the picture they had up at WF?
  7. Ah. I guess it slipped everyone's mind as there were no photos to burn it into our brains. Hopefully we get to see that Hikaru figure soon.
  8. But isn't this the first time it's been publicly acknowledged?
  9. I skipped the V.1 1/60 VF-1s and the VF-25s because they looked like crap. The smartest thing that Yamato did was NOT to release 2 seaters in 1/48 because they would have lost a lot of people who would have thought their collection was complete. It was evident that they were pushing for those people to invest in the v.2 when they released the VF-1D in less than a year from releasing the first v.2 1/60 VF-1. I'm not convinced that Yamato closed up shop because of Macross Toys... or maybe if it had something to do with Macross toys it was more because of the mismanagement of how they released them. I'm more inclined to think that they closed up because of the same reason why other businesses are closing. Bad management, not a lousy license... why even pursue it further if it sucks so bad?
  10. Anytime... here's a pic of a Max I quickly pulled apart (carefully, lol). Hardest part to mask will prolly be the knee and head lasers. But doesn't seem that complicated.
  11. Haha. That's what I was telling my friends when we first saw it and they were telling that I was crazy and this was the Terminator or Aliens of the 90s. Bullet time wasn't that impressive either since it was just a small step above the Jump and Jive Gap commercials.
  12. You can take apart most of the valk without unscrewing. The leg pops off from the hip. The fuselage comes away from the cockpit area and the shoulder can be slipped off the arm, you just have to gently pry the notches. Of course the head comes off. You'll only need to unscrew the elbow to take the lower arm off. From there you should be able to mask everything else for such an easy scheme.
  13. Maybe this will help http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/uncm/fanliner/172fanliner.htm
  14. "I'm sorry I wasn't really ready... can you, can you repeat that? 2-3 what?"
  15. *Lights cigarette with torch* "It's about time!"
  16. Reporters today don't really report the news as much as they try to make an angle. If Lois Lane can coin a phrase or name the flying stranger that can put an entire story into on headline then the Daily Planet sells millions of copies.
  17. Thanks PetarB... Beautiful zpaolo!
  18. You're just trying to get us to rub your pants!
  19. Awesome... need different views and color!
  20. The Raimi suit was so perfect. Muscle definition and everything. This reminds me of Electric Company. Love the classic pattern more though.
  21. Sorry Dax. We don't allow the sales of recasted parts on the boards without the consent of the original manufacturers of kit makers.
  22. I'm thinking (or hoping) we're not going to hear anything about any 1/60 line 'til next year, with Plus and Sevens 20th and DYRL's 30th Anniversary. Hopefully Japan keeps the celebrating going for three years straight because toy wise, that's a long time to wait. It's kind of a pity though since I would have loved to get a v.2 YF-19 the same time as my Plus Bluray.
