Even though it's blurry it's obviously on the same background that they use for the photoshoot.

The pilot thing was in Robotech books? I thought that was just an agentGHQ delusion... lol. Yes... the pilots stays in the cockpit. The seat just rotates. There's no room for the pilot in the heads at all. Remember in the second episode went Hikaru rises out of the VF-1D after the head folds over? And there was even the second seat on top of him that rose up first.

That's just a coincidence that I changed the banner last night. I've been wanting to change it since 2012 ended and that was my first chance. While I'm waiting for Arcadia's official announcement before I even start to drool, I do think that the inclusion of a stand would make it that much more expensive. But at the way the market is going, is making a toy more expensive the right move? At prices like this, I think people will be fighting for it at the bargain bins or others will wait to see if there will be an unassembled version.

That's pretty cool. Not for me, but pretty cool.

Just have to realize that this was based on over the top type anime, not just the machines but the characters. I thought I was going to be annoyed by the scientists in the beginning but I actually cracked up at them. I dunno why but I kinda saw them as Sheldon and Leonard in the future.

too small anyway. Honestly I'd prefer a vinyl one if it was 18" tall.

Black Magic is probably the only Shirow animation that is close to any of Shirow's design and illustrations. I think Gargantia is closer to Shirow's style than GiTS and Appleseed. It's like Intron Depot the animated series. Lol.

I thought the Mattel version looked fun. And I was OK with the added pilots because having character figures is always a cool bonus. But at the end, the gimmicks didn't really work. Like people have mentioned, the key thing was really hokey and unneeded. The blazing sword stand was designed really badly, because once you secure the sword into it, it was impossible to take out. the lion's legs folded in weird ways, especially when the animation shows (on a daily basis) which ways the joints were suppose to bend. I'm really more of a casual fan and I think the Toynami one is OK. Suprisingly OK. But if they made one that can do the things David and Anime52k8 are talking about and made it look as good as T-Rex is making Macross toys look good, then that would really pique my interest.

Those Mattel gimmicks sucked bad. I would love to see a Lion Voltron that can do all those things.

I think we've seen pretty much what JJ does as far as filming style. I'm more worried about story content. I've watched a lot of JJ shows and movies, they all pretty much fall apart at the end.
