Check out the "strike a pose thread". Ton of inspiration in there.

I think we need a Red Shoulder review of a 1J Miria. -
Why did the VF-1S go from ¥10,290 in 2012 to ¥16,800 in 2013?
sreichma replied to YF-29 Durandal's topic in Toys
Because we got a stand and option parts and less tampo printing. Also, because the Federal Reserve prints trillions of dollars out of thin air and then charges interest. If you charge interest on money you print, there is never enough money to pay what was printed off unless you print more. It's a Fiat debt based currency. It's very well known that when Nixon ended the convertability of the dollar to Gold in 1971 that that the real purpose was to effect future Macross collectors. -

When I get a second copy to keep OG , mine will be done like this.! Great thinking man and also great work acting on the idea.

Paid at pre-order at Nippon Yasan. I'm getting excited for this.

I see stuff snapping and breaking all over this thing.

yeah, they are too cool to keep in closets.

I'm sold on the cyclops look. I know I'm in the minority but I don't like it having the human face and eyes. I think it looks more like a battle mech this way I also like the 25 and 29 without the ankles extended. Poor Ozma though below forgot his intake cover.

An idea moment that will change macross displays for decades. Yet another reason the original dioder is the way to go, the variable color dioder has the selection wheel mounted near the lights themselves so you would have an ugly white box in your detolf.

Glad this isn't an AA support group.

Both i purchased are solid and were transformed twice but yes it is a gamble. Others have had a cascade of breakage through no fault of their own.

I bought a set of the color changing dioders from ikea by mistake for my single detolf downstairs. The brightest setting that should be white listed on the dial is blue. The 5 detolfs i have upstairs have the standard dioder with the warm light and you can see everything better. I'm not a fan of the variable dioder. It could be cool for some type of accent but I don't think it executes for the light I want to show a display. Good call grabbing the standards old man and the white detolf looks great.

Damn I'm torn on buying a 4th, but 2 sealed is enough. Damn it, the struggle begins.

I've been thinking of getting an Alto 29. The red is awesome.

I prefer the bright white for my Valks but in my opinion all DYRL should be in theoff white because that is in fact how it looks in the movie. I still think they should make them in two different colors. I did honor the thread and voted bright white....even though I love my DRYL valks, I like bright colors in my collection.

In spite of all of its failures. . .The VF-171CF punched a Varja in the face and destroyed it.

Trivia Fact ( I'm pretty sure) I've always wondered why Bandai covers their DX Valks in the plastic bag and then I realized it could be because of the gloss plastic. (yes I know there is no such thing as gloss plastic and it is an effect from the mold, etc.) Anyway, the reason I'm coming to this conclusion is because Yamato also wrapped the YF-19 Fire Valk in plastic and it was a gloss Valk. The matte finish valks Yamato did had no plastic bag. I'm thinking I'm correct, but either way I still love hearing the crinkle of the plastic bag when you break out a MIB DX.

Nice. -
I'll bury the hatchet on this one. This made me laugh out loud. In the spirit of the thread: an armored 25s.

I have 2 F's in the box and one on display and 2 G's in the box and one on display. I'm good on those, but If anyone is thinking about grabbing one to keep sealed, I would do it now. I really think this is it for the F.
-
This is it everyone. The F will not see another reissue for a very long time if ever. I'm wanting to know this also.

I 100% pirated your Gerwalk pose on the 27 and it pulls attention directly to it now. If I ever post a picture of my collection and people tell me how cool the gerwalk pose is I will likely also take full credit for it. Be sure to remember this post in order to set the record straight in the future. At that time, I will deny all knowledge of typing this.
