My wish is on the articluation side of design. 2 things are missing. First, a joint in the torso that can bend or at least have one click for bending and the second is waist articulation. I guess a third wish would be for a gloss option. I love the matte finish of Yamato, but I'd really like to see a 1/60 VF-1 done in the plastic and gloss Bandai uses for its DX Valks. Anyone know what the difference in the two is?

I agree with the Blue comment. The 25G is my absolute favorite valk not just for the color but it's specialized combat role.

Trying to remember when the 25F was reissued so I could form a general window of when an Ozma reissue will happen in 14. I need a second one to keep safe in the box. I'm afraid to display it long term in fighter with the armor parts on because of the bar that pulls the legs in together. Don't know if it really could do anything or not, but it's a great distraction to justify buying another one and keeping it in the box!

Got mine today, Skull is a little crooked but you really really have to look for it. My only real concern now is I hope they adjust the color of the super-strike parts, something just doesn't look right when you put the DYRL set on the new Arcadia White. I don't even know what adjustment needs to be made but something just looks off... anyone else see what I see? I wonder if that's why they haven't released them because they are experimenting with the correct color tone. I also want to go on the record that with it in hand, this Valk is awesome and not deserving of the smears I was throwing at it before it arrived. I stand corrected and would recommend this as a purchase for anyone. The Front of the Box is also lethal looking with the schematics of the 1-S in the red hue.

It just says "we've received notice from the shipping facility that they are preparing you shipment." That date is the 21st. If I get burned here, I may never buy from anywhere overseas again. I'll never be able to file a claim on this or have it researched, I mean how am I supposed to work with a japanese post office? I just really think if this thing doesn't show up, there is really nothing I will be able to do about it even with the insurance that comes with the EMS express. The logistics of working a claim through an overseas carrier will be impossible.

Can someone help me with some insight. I had mine shipped from Nippon Yasan on the EMS Express 3-4 day option, it was shipped the 19th but as of now I see no update outside of Japan. That's Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Today, and I have no package or update. How do I pursue this or track it or open a claim? If you have done it before please paste the link and give me any guidance you have. If you have experienced this also and they come late, please let me know so I can relax a little. Does Nippon Yasan help at all with this type of stuff when it happens?

The biggest miss with this game was that you couldn't use the forearm missles of the cyclone or rocket cannon from the 38. Those are iconic weapons and without them, it just isn't fun.

That pose with the ghosts climbing is awesome. I think I may swipe the idea and adjust my set that that way.

Your Last sentence says it all. Watch 5 years from now the SMV Hikaru 1-S will be an "avoid" Valk. Mine isn't here yet, but if it arrives and is crooked on the left, I'll be convinced its a chronic issue.

I will begin with anger towards the factory rather than Arcadia, keep in mind, I wasn't hating on Arcadia - I just think they really had a rough patch somewhere on the internal side with these two releases. I say we move past it since the chain should really be about the valk rather than debating Arcadia. After all, as I said, I like the new white better then than the old dyrl white.

I agree in regards to me, I think I was so happy that the line continued after the panic of Yamato closing shop that I was a little passive on what should be high quality execution. It's not the customers role to support a company in order to hope they get good product someday, it's the companies role to execute operational standards and quality to draw customers in and have the benefit of us choosing to spend our money on their product. I just think it's unacceptable B.S. for their quality control team to miss this. If they didn't miss it, then it means they deployed the stock knowingly with the defect and do not value the customer but expect us to just support them till they get it right. That's not how buisiness works. If you think about it, a lot seems rushed and jumbled: They missed Tampo on the nose which has never happened before, the skull is crooked on more valks than in the past, and I truly believe that the Bright White Color of these Valks was not an intended design but an oversight and mistake by them. I love the new Arcadia White though and prefer it over the old DYRL Color, I just don't think it was intended. I believe in my heart they were moving fast, thinking faster, delegated and trusted too much, and someone just coded the plastic the wrong color. The Box Art doesn't even depict the correct Valk, if you look, the ejection seat warning on the box art is a hollow red triangle like the old Tampo one. One can not argue that it is a sticker because if you look in your waterslides and normal decals there is no hollow red triangle anywhere, all you have is the triangle with the writing in it. I'm pretty sure David mentioned that this was an acknowledged mistake by them in an ealrier post. It just shows an example that stuff went wrong on the internal side with these two releases. This is not a rant, I do not hate Arcardia, I'm just making an observation as a huge fan of this line and a collector. I wish the best for this line because it has been one of the best, but past success and loyalty does not translate into being void of accountability and critique.

If you don't have Roy, you gotta get Roy. You can't go wrong with the OG badass. Roy was such a badass he made it out of earths atmosphere and into space with no Booster Pack assist in the TV-Series!

Luckily my 1-S SMV Roy skulls are straight. Hope I score the same on the Hikaru. In the end, it's really only us who would notice it because we are premium collectors. I'm just thankful that after all of these years there are two companies still turning out Macross Toys that I love. Also, I know I've harped on it before, but I do want to say that I think the Valk really does look a little bare on the front without the tampo ejection seat warning. You really don't know what you got till it's gone. I was hoping the Hikaru version would have it like all the other DYRL Valks.

Damn, how slanted was the skull on the tail fin? That really sucks as it's a key part of the 1-S, I hope it's not widespread.

I don't see bundles in the future from Arcadia. Some would say maybe because the 19 is coming with fast packs but I don't see it coming on the Vf-1's. They've never re-released bundles, even when they reissued the super parts and the 30th valks there were no bundles and even now with it being Arcadia, no bundles. I'm not including the plus set with the flashlight, I don't consider it a reissue as much as a correction on quality control.

you hit the nail on the head with what I'm trying to ask and determine. I think you are right, it is an armor plate to protect the pilot from center mass shots during battroid combat, but was called a heat shield and used as one for a secondary purpose when Hikaru entered earth atmosphere.

Macross Zero would have been a great story if they didn't have the "Bird People" and whole "Magical stuff woven into it" If they scrapped the whole island thing and just focused on the crash of the SDF and the development of the variable fighters within the War that was raging on earth I think it could have been one of the best in the series. As it is, we all have those stupid memories of a twisted stick and bird people on an island.

I completely agree. DX VF-1 would be amazing. I would be concerned though that they would test demand again like they did with the 25 renewal first run and we would see the pre order madness again. That being said, I think a DX could be the purest and best expression of a VF-1 if they do it.

No Shame at all man. Money is better used then thining out your monitor. If it's just for research, work, or browsing the web, no need for LCD. I do see something on the right of that screen though.....
