Hanging a 1/48S like that? Not a chance, though I respect your intestinal fortitude to do so. No way, my cat would do a flying leap and bring that down in a second.. I would like to ask where you got that bubble for your patlbor though. I would like to get a few of those to protect some of my more fragile things.. I'd either need a handfull of small ones for my figures, or one big one for my 1/48 Zentraidi cat of death..

I thought about doing the same, but thought that might make them too brittle... But it does look more authentic like that...

Hmm, can I play too? Rhode Island.. the pothole state. latitude 41.9715773365255 41° 58' 17.6784114918" longitude -71.5681701234976 -71° 34' 5.41244459134" ^what they gave me... I'm terrible at lon/lat.. -
I guess they look okay, but I just feel like if I want covers on my packs, the opaque ones look better, and if I want to show the innards of them, leaving the covers off look better.. DOn't get me wrong, I like them and I'm glad I got them, The're just not premanently affixed to a valk.. EDIT>forgive my horrid camera and picture-taking ability

Ouh...and I thought it was some l33t mod incorporating all the consoles into one box. It's actually a l33t mod console, just for games that run off VHS tapes! ow. In all truth though, the TV that's hooked up to has 3 imputs, but I need that because I have like 8 things hooked up to it.. I would show a pc from behind it, but all the hentai in the word doesn't have the number of tubes and wires that are behind there, an I'm sure it would scare you all too much...

Why cleaning is important... Because cheap cameras pick up dust like you wouldn't beieve.. even a tiny bit of dust.. Yeah, yeah I was bored.. And I didn't feel like breaking the ting back out..sue me..

Yes, the fast packs are quite evil.. I have two 1/48's and 2 FP sets.. And those stupid FP sets.. The 1/48's have detailed, intricate backpacks and tail fins.. very nice.. and the plane itself is very sleek for a transforming toy.. But do I ever see this? No. Why? Cuz I always have the fast packs on! Dammit... I take them off to admire the beauty and mechanical asthetics of it.. but they beg to be put back on, and are before the day's over, any money - making my Valk an invincible flying tank once again.. *sigh* Damn evil fast packs

Wow, that's an impressive array... If I had know you were doing all that I might have participated, not just hung back by the wall... But wow.. That is impressive as a whole collection.. (What have you people done to me?! ) ..so, if both the zentran and meltran attacked right now, where would we stand? ..hmm I guess it would depend on what scale they were..

Well I've only been collecting since December.. Always been a serious macross fan, but only recently started looking into toys for it.. (I'm glad I came in at such a awesome time! -not awesome enough for a Yf-19, though ) I have: (by company since I don't know the scale on ALL of them) (besides misc super-poseables, models, and K&M figures, ect) Bandai: 1 jetfire, 1 VF-1S Bandai reissue 1 VF-19 Firevalk reissue 1 VF-17S reissue 1 VF-19S Excalibur (Boot ) Yamato: 1 VF-11B 1 VF-11B FP (Can anyone AGREE on what scale the 11B's are?) 1 YF-21FP 1X 1/60 VF-1A Max 1X 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru w/ TV FP 1X 1/48 VF-1S Roy reissue W/ DYRL FP --- I know I have a log way to go compared to some of you though.. --- Still want: YF-19! and VF-17D

Heh, sorry, but I want ( or maybe I don't?) want a 1/48 Max? Can someone give me a decent pic of one.. A somewhat downward kinda front and side pic of Max in gerwalk with no armor? (if anyone understood that I congratulate you) I think that looks great for the blue max, and I want to see how the color of it looks for the 1/48... I can't seem to find any decent pics for it.. Also, is it possible to buy a 1/48 Max without the armor? I really want one if it looks right, but I don't want the armor... (don't ask ) Sorry and thanks for any help..

Yeah it does. But I feel better knowing I'm not the only one..

'Tis plastic for me.. I believe you all were right in saying so, but he said it and I was like.. 'wait' WAS it metal? But yeah.. plastic.. Like you're gonn break it anyway... I seriously brused a finger from the wheels of the landing gear hitting it when I popped it open..

The only one in my house I need to worry about is my cat... It walks the shelves when I sleep all the time! But.. it never knocked over my any of my Bandai's, never touched any of my Yamato's, and doesen't even GO NEAR my 1/48's. So what has it damaged so far? Only one toy it has ever damaged, and repeaditly, My Toynami Super-posable 1S. Snapped both boosters off it's back and broke off a head laser! It has the utmost respect for everything else. Now tell me that isn't a good cat!

No.. DYRL MPC's... http://toynami.com/macross.html Still looks crappy, and their buissness practices don't make them the loved underdog... Sorry newbie 2 cents.. ignore..

Heh I would love to have full scans of that as well.. I'd pay money almost...
-
I would love either a 1-D or a CF, and I'd be all over a super VT-1.. After that (and the GBP of course) though, I want my 11-B What? I can post here too...

I'm new at collecting myself (started less then a year ago) I stopped all thinking about the 1/48's with the 1-J as well (What is it with the 1-J?), so the M+M don't exactly thrill me. But now I find myself going back and grabbing Bandai's, a few 1/60 and such, so it never seems to end. I am jumping on everything plus and 7 right now... It just seems to change, not die... Am I gonna be alright?

Wow. You guys are great. I display my stuff (most anyway) and get some harsh comments. You know, like: " when are you going to grow up?" " why do you have TOYS?!?!" " that plane has legs." and such.... Bah! I do things well enough so, in my opinion, the only difference between me and people who have "grown up" is that they are boring, really... "Man, i sure wish i sat around and decayed all day." "makes me so 'mature' to pretend to be something I'm not." As far as i'm concerned, my collection kinda "protects" from people like that... I get that sometimes too!

Thanks all. Does anyone at least know the rarity and potential price for a 17D? I don't even mind a damaged box or even no box - i just want the toy, really. Kind of a ...Gamlin fan

Sorry to intrude, but can I ask a couple of questions? 1. has anyone ever ordered from here? Can they say it's legit. Looks to be, but I'm cautious online... 2.Where could I find a VF-17D? (besides Ebay) and what would be a fair price? I just like it a lot, I think the 17S's head is...kinda fugly

I was suprised at the durablilty of this toy. I got re-introduced to the world of macross toys back in August, and saw all of this cool stuff going on. I had to have a 1/48, and got 2. Before I recieved I started coming here for info, and started hearing all these "broken -Yamato part-" threads and was then concerned. No worries, though, They both held up better than i had heard. I would've like to vote that I consider the 1/48's a toy becaues of this, but when you re-posted the poll, it had "10 year old" on it. I had to null vote. I realize all kids are diffrent, but even my two Bandais, rock solid as they are, would be utterly desroyed by my irresponsible 12 year old brother. Letting him at a 1/48? No way. I have nightmares of waking up and finding him here, crashing my Valks into each-other..

I dished out the cash for the stickers, and found them (aside from having to cut them) great. Scissors work very well for a curve verses say, a straight blade. But here's my problem. I love Macross and all, but I can't seem to place all the stickers. I can place most from memory and from pics I find, but some of the alpha-numeric ones give me trouble. I didn't seem to find much help in the Yamato box. Are there any placement guides or something? I got the Armor stickes as well as the aircraft ones. I'd rather look like an idiot now asking for help than look like one later with misplaced labels EDIT> Sorry, I went through my guide and found lables on the parts list in the front of the manual... -Musta missed that...

Really? What's wrong with your VF-1J? I bought one without the FP and its near perfect. There's a small nick in the head visor (not much to complain about really). And underneath the rim(behind the cockpit/above the heat shield) of the chest plate, part of the plastic is chipped. Not a big deal really since you can only see it when its being transformed. Other than those 2 small nit picks, my VF-1J is good. Tight joints etc. - 1J chestplate and back plate gap in fighter/gerwalk mod (slight though) - the air break wont stay in position in battroid - gap near air intakes/chest plate in gerwalk/fighter - legs want to leave the toy in gerwalk. (the 1S is perfect here) - The backpack latch plate isn't firmly positionned. it creates a gap. - gun pods want sto leave the arm in every configuration. - I have to press real hard to have the backpack in position in battroid config. (I dread to break the small hinge - u know? - and it is folding the backplate, so much pressure there... hum...) all those problem are not found in the 1S reissue or greatly reduced. Oddly enough, thoes are my problems with my VF-1S reissue and are all but non existant in my 1J. Sad because I like my 1S much more...
