    Funny, both Alto and Hayate got yelled at for goofing off when they got a kill in their training but Hayate gets the sterner lesson. Guess watching someone get turned into a meaty paste had a bigger impact on Alto?

    Probably to keep up with the EX-Gear upgrade. The airframe and engines are probably up to VF-1X standards. (Production-wise, that was a cheap way to reuse the cockpit from the VF-31)

    I don't know if we can call it a "War of Independence". "Revolution" seems to be the word. We will likely know more details as the show progresses. It could have been that the original government was more friendly to the UN until that sentiment changed. Basically, an internal conflict where Windermere cut off political and economic ties with the rest of the galaxy.

    Better title card pic. So...based off the Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane-miniseries? Cuz there was a miniseries called Mary Jane: Homecoming. And here I was hoping for The Spectacular Spider-Man. (BTW, it's a reference to Spidey rejoining the Marvel movies and about Peter still in high school.)

    Hayate will pilot a blue-striped VF-31J with a single head laser and single red-ish visor eye. Mirage's VF-31C has green dual-visor eye, dual head laser in purple stripes. Arad has the green-striped S variant with the usual 4 head lasers. Messar's 31F is the evil looking "horned"-headed black striped one with 2 blue eyes and dual head lasers. And lastly, Chuck's E-variant is the orange-striped one. Chuck's also lacks the gunpod/power charger for a radome.

    I'm inclined to agree with Seto regarding the height. Quarters are suppose to be 400m-class ships (meaning they are >= 400m). When transformed, they hover around the 300m range. It's on a hill and on a platform. So it's being propped up higher. Until some data says otherwise, I'm inclined to go with it being a Quarter-class. Keeping in mind Battle Frontier and Battle Galaxy are still considered New Macross-class yet they are bigger.

    Keep in mind, most modern rules of warfare specify attacks on military targets is considered an attack on a nation itself. Al Shahal may not be forgiving of that when they find out Windermere is discovered as the attacker. The NUN may not be forgiving either.
