    The YF-29 (Alto's version) uses 4 pieces of fold quartz in its design compared to the 2 pieces on the VF-31. And likely, those 4 pieces cost more back in 2059 than in 2067.

    If you kids want to debate the subs, there are other (more subtitling-dedicated) forums to do so. If you just want to get the gist of what they're saying and don't mind the spelling and grammar mistakes, more colorful vocabulary, go with GG. Want a better translation with less liberal vocabulary usage, better lyrics translations, wait for Doki-Chihiro. Or you can wait for the Blu-ray which comes with English subs. Or learn Japanese and not rely on any subs. As for me, I finally sat down and rewatched (unfortunately things like Doom get in the way during relax-time) the episode. It was nice to see Bogue knocked off his high-horse (literally) and setup his rivalry with Hayate now. Also I loved the moment when Hayate calls them on Windermere BS. And for some reason, when someone mentioned to Messer that he's bleeding, the Black Knight from Monty Python or Jesse Ventura from Predator popped into my head.

    Or have never heard of Robotech. I would find it hilarious if McKeever was in some way, forced off the panel. But yeah, this is a completely self-serving move for HG. The only reason for HG to be in China is, like everyone else, China is a huge market which would make them more money than in the USA.

    Beijing Comic Convention. Kawamori and Tenjin are hosting the Macross panel. Harmony Gold is going to China to host their own panel. In China. A country that never had to deal with RT. A country that would rather produce their own big-budget entertainment than import. They even have a law that prohibits over-saturation of foreign entertainment. Where is the logic in RT in China?

    Maybe. The parallel cockpit exists on the VF-4, VF-17/VF-171, and of course, the YF-30 (which the VF-31 is based off).

    Messer's issue may likely stem from an earlier exposure to the compound. Perhaps during his NUNS service, he ate some apples (we've all eaten apples at some point). He may have been able to fight off the effects but he's starting to lose that battle now.

    At least Arrow's season finale went out on a high note. Not enough to make up for the season though.

    Yes. Makina explained this in episode 4. Singing reduces the chances. It's like being given mumps/measles/rubella vaccine. Get it once, and you should be good for a while. Likely down the road, you're gonna need a booster shot.

    IMO, it's an OK ensemble song. My problem is during the chorus, JUNNA's voice really stands out. It doesn't sound like 1 harmonious voice. It sounds like a bunch of voices fighting each other. Back in episode 4 when Freyja and Mikumo were singing "Koi! Halation THE WAR", that felt like a good mix of their voices. Each of their voices were distinct yet it didn't feel like their voices were competing with each other. The pineapple works in mysterious ways.

    Makina already mentioned how bad of a shape his bird comes back in. In front of him. I think the crews are are use to it now. I don't think Hayate has much of a paycheck left. Whatever he makes is taken back to pay for his bird.

    The VF-31s should have active stealth. I saw it as optical camo like the Drakens to hide any markings if someone caught a visual on their approach.

    I think we're a little early to declare Delta anything. I'm definitely not feelin' the music when these girls sing together. Solos? Yes. As a group? Needs work. 7's music worked from the start. Delta, not so much.

    If the VF-31 transforms the same way as the YF-30 (which it likely does), then the hands get tucked into pocket in the lower part of the legs so there would be storage space for ammo. What I'm wondering about is the guns rotating. The ammo feeder has to rotate with it (not the storage, the feeding mechanism). Patience. IIRC, we never got any real specs for the VF-25 until a few months into Frontier.

    Quick-view. Will watch again later. Some of the cel-shots look poor. Looks like the secondary animation is starting to get farmed out. My stance on the music remains the same. JUNNA by herself is good. Ms. Suzuki's solo is good. But mixing everyone's voices still needs work.
