1. I'm not talking about the production-side of it but the story-aspect. It's becoming a cliché as it seems like everyone has a head piece that manifests itself around the wearer.
2. Hey Marvel, what’s with all the CGI helmets forming over people’s heads? Star Lord, Iron Man, Ant Man & Wasp, Black Panther, Whiplash, Iron Spider, etc. Does no one just put on a helmet anymore?
3. It did have lower viewership with respect to the previous seasons but I don't think viewership stats killed it. I think show costs, Disney starting their streaming service and creative differences have strained the Marvel-Netflix relationship. It sounds like Netflix wanted shorter season runs and more restraint on the purse. But it sounds like the showrunners of these Marvel shows and Marvel themselves were not gonna deal. Netflix promised them 12-13 episode seasons but now they wanted to renegotiate them to 10-episode seasons. From what I've read, actor and crew contracts for these streaming shows are not like normal TV shows which span for seasons. They "renegotiate" every season so the fees increase every season. Coupled with VFX and the showrunners wanting to do more each season vs Netflix's increasing kung-fu-grip hold on the purse these days, I can see why it's not working out which leads to cancellation. Like I said earlier, it sounds like Netflix is finally growing up and realizing $$$ is finite.
4. 'Daredevil' Canceled at Netflix as Marvel Roster Shrinks to Two This means Jessica Jones S3 and The Punisher S2 are next and might as well be DOA. The chances their shows will be renewed after Netflix releases their upcoming seasons is pretty much zero at this point.
5. With Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales coming, start posting those deals now.
6. If they didn’t waste the 2nd half of the series, they could have done it in 1 series.
7. Sounds like they finally realized they needed to grow up. Makes one wonder how long they thought they could get away with just throwing money at it. Did they think they could maintain their share when they only showed studios that they don't need broadcast channels to deliver their content. Netflix showed studios they could just make content and literally drop it right into the viewers laps without a middle man.
8. So it looks like the Core i9 9900k is going to be Intel's RTX 2080. Overpriced for little gains. It's certainly powerful, but that steep price tag may have one rethinking things.
9. Coded version:
write spoilers here
The mobile site is a limited-functionality version of the board. The full features are available on the desktop version of the site.
10. Karateka? Oregon Trail? Considering how long it's been since I've seen OS 7 (I've had to make room in head for other stuff since those days), I can't say I remember all the apps and games for Mac from those days.
11. Netflix Pulls The Plug On ‘Luke Cage’, No Season 3 For Marvel’s Harlem Hero Heroes for Hire? Daughters of the Dragon? I think Jessica Jones is next on the chopping block.
12. There is some speculation that Disney may revive the show on their own streaming service. Or, the characters get folded into another show (Combine Luke Cage and make Heroes for Hire).
13. You are welcomed to read the comics online. Google "free comics" or "read comics online" and puke to your hearts content. Read back in this thread for previews...
14. Like I said, Tennant's Doctor started this "Ginger"-gag before Smith's Doctor. Where it referenced before Tennant, well...
15. David Tennant's Doctor started "Ginger"-comment before Matt Smith's Doctor did when he regenerated and asked if he was a Ginger. Nice opening titles. Shame they didn't keep the silhouette but then again, Jodie doesn't have the crossed eye-brows and Scottish glare of Calpadi.
16. Netflix Knocks Out ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist’, No Season 3 For Martial Arts Series Terrible 1st season. Make-up season 2 not enough to save it. Disney could pick it up and move it to their streaming service.
17. The UN really need some First Contact protocols. Though granted, humanity had a freakin spaceship dropped on our laps. At least no one on that said craft was alive to show us how to use it and we still hadn't left our solar system by the time someone made first contact with us... Having a freakin colony fleet just come to a planet without some investigation of the native life must have caused Windermere to leapfrog a few centuries of social development.
18. And Intel decides to match AMD with 9th gen CPUs and Z390 boards...which are just Coffee Lake refreshes, which, as one article put it, "was already a rehash of Kaby Lake, which was an update to Skylake. So we are on Skylake Refresh Refresh Refresh". So I might as well toss the 8700k out of the picture.
