    So what? I mentioned before in this thread the biggest example is Apple using Samsung parts while they were suing each other. And Apple is still using Samsung parts. Suing for unpaid fees could be a way of saying "I'm bumping up licensing fees". And HG still paid for the rights. And we're exactly where we've been for the past 34 years; importing our hobby.

    Maybe it’s me but anyone else find Black Widow’s face looking a bit male-ish? The trailer popped up on my feed and the thumbnail had Black Widow, Cap and Iron Man and it was bothering me that her face looked very square-ish.

    What WB did is actually how most shows and movies are made. Hell, how most businesses seems to be attracted to certain areas. Avengers: Endgame filmed mostly in Georgia thanks to tax breaks in Georgia. That movie had a budget of 350+ million. But thanks to tax breaks, that number went down. Tax breaks are really why filmmaking seems to occur in specific parts of the country. States and cities lower taxes on businesses to attract the business to those area. More jobs in an area brings other businesses. More business, more money to the area. Where Amazon set up a 2nd HQ was based on where land was cheap and who offered the most tax break incentives.

    Either way, WB wasn't left with many options except to shut it down. Moving production so late would add additional costs. Refiling paperwork to restart production in a different state would have taken time and you can't keep cast and crew waiting around for a year. The tax rebate money in North Carolina is likely spoken for already so good luck getting additional rebate money WB thought they would be getting.

    Creative differences can be solved by removing people and time. But if North Carolina failed to deliver their tax breaks which sounds like was half the production costs then I think that would piss me off more than anything else. The fact that they cut production early seems to point to the latter; cut your loses in sunk costs and leave.

    Warner Bros Approves Robert Pattinson For ‘The Batman’ Anyone who has done hiring knows this part. Now comes the "how much money?"-part. Doubt we'll hear about these details. Or he might walk away if terms are not reached. And this is why I don't work in HR.

    We talked about it during Season 1 in the General TV thread but due to the large time gap between production of season 1 & 2 (nearly 2 years), no thread came up. Between the end of S2 to when S3 will air, it's going to be another 2 years so I didn't expect a thread to show up. I also expect this one to go dormant until S3 airs. Next Freakin'. Year. Likely "a long time". Between the island evacuation to Dolores and Bernard in the real world, they just say it's been a long time. Even the scenarios run on MIB with his daughter have run for "a long time".
