Maybe 3....Or are we coming up on 4.....

I don't believe it would produce a plume that large if it was that small. If it was coming from the shoulder vernier, then yes, that plume is about the right size for that nozzle. If you guess the origin of where that plume is coming from, it would be right at the tip of the shoulder, right where that shoulder vernier is not the FAST pack.
-
No. That vernier is under the FAST pack. (courtesy of Steelfalcon.com) You can see the nozzle in the shoulder block. And if we look here: (again, courtesy of Steelfalcon.com) The nozzle has some clearance of the shoulder pack. There is no vernier on that shoulder pod.

This should go into the fan works section. Hey....how about a "Best looking SDF-1 in GERWALK" in the fanworks section?
-
Ummm....we've had the remastered DVDs for about 2 years now...

Just to cite some sources: http://www.anime.net/macross/story/encyclo...roduction_notes http://www.anime.net/macross/story/encyclo...love/index.html http://www.anime.net/macross/story/chronol...dex.html#203102

I don't think that episode would be a good comparison. IIRC, it was a dramatization of what happened. They were using VF-11Cs and they even mentioned it was a re-enactment of what happened. Oh and here's the eye-catch:

Exactly.

Spiritia Specialists.....no. Idol pop group, yes. http://www.anime.net/macross/production/so...gitalMissionVFX http://www.anime.net/macross/story/chronol...2040/index.html Yes, July release. It's only July 15th. We still half the month left. Patience my young padawan. You may start bitching on August 1st.

Yep. One way to use multiple OS on a computer would be to run an emulator (like Virtual PC for Mac). But you are still running 1 OS. You have modules controlling various functions of a VF. In Gundam Seed, I would say Kira altered the modules on the Gundam's OS so badly that it would not respond to "the general user" input (i.e. he tailored the OS to his use). Much like how we alter the functionality of programs running on our computers, Kira did it to the point where he probably created his own modules in place of the ones used originally by the OS. Programs talk to the OS which talk to the hardware. All those programs provide the user with functions which help fly the VF. When a pilot squeezes the trigger on the stick to fire the gunpod, a program takes that input, feeds it to the OS, which tells the hardware what to do.

Has the Fire Bomber band ever play U.S. convention
azrael replied to zeus the zentran's topic in Movies and TV Series
No. They did do some shows in Japan but that's back in 1995 or 1998. -
No mech/robot can work without some programming. Computers just don't work per say. Your OS talks to your hardware and then your hardware talks to the rest of the hardware. This is all done by programming. Even cars come with some computer which has programs in it. There's lots of programming in Macross. You just don't see it. Gundam Seed explored this issue so use that as a highlight. So yes, VFs use fly-by-wire in their controls. Look at the Mars rovers. Robotics with lots of programming. Without all those programs, we would be sending billion dollar pieces of metal, glass, rubber and silicon into space that would do nothing but look shiny and fancy. Another possiblity is that the targetting systems have improved over the years. As I see it, the eye-tracker was a manual multiple-tracking targetting system. Imagine if you had 2x the amount of missiles targeting you, I won't want to try to manually track all those missiles. I would try to let the computer track it. And in M+, we see that. In episode 1 of M+, that missile swarm coming at Isamu at the very beginning. The computer picked up and tracked each missile coming at him (see those orange dots/brackets above Isamu's head on the attached image). Imagine tracking that with the eye-tracker.

I do believe it is.

Hate to do an sorta Egan-Loo here but, did you look at where that FAST pack is listed? Maybe I should make it in more bold: VF-11D Custom Now...sure the lineart for the VF-11C atmospheric FAST packs says it is but you're using the wrong statement to prove a different point. I should also note that the Compendium still doesn't lists those atmospheric FAST packs... And that the VF-11D Custom uses a different style FAST pack than the VF-11C. Now as much as the lineart explains (and it does, that's a good find), you're using the wrong listing to prove it....

Exactly. The whole idea of mechs using guns with triggers is far fetched.... One could think of it this way, the triggers are there for other mechs. There's probably a plug/data port for the fighter to use. This way, you have access to the gunpod's diagnostic systems (temperature, ammo count, and other systems). But I'll leave the speculation and fun to you kids.

Roy or Ray? Cuz Roy isn't in M7. That's Ray in M7.

Just another race. Just as humans came from monkeys, Zolans came from marsupials.

Those aren't pastels....they're watercolor/acrylic paintings. And he did the character designs for SDF, DYRL?, II, 7 (and D7). http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/books/art_cellworks.htm http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/books/...lustrations.htm http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/books/art_roman.htm Character designs for M+ were done by MASAYUKI. Character designs for M0 were done by Takuya Saito.
-
But Evangelion had half the number of episodes on a equivalent budget. More time could be spent per episode and numerous other factors. If you must compare M7 to something, try Gundam. Same size with about the same size budget.

I have 2 words for you people: Good marketing.

They could have let Katoki do the mechs for Destiny. They could have let Kawamori do some mechs....He did do the concept drawings for 0083. Naw, really? Here's another point where they could have changed. Let someone else do the character designs. I know it's a sequel but come on....

If you look at Impulse really hard....You can tell what parts of Freedom and Strike were used to make Impulse. Unfortunately, if the summary reads true, it's only been 2 years. You can only alter a design so much for 2 years. And the new kid looks like Kira and Athrun mixed together. The new girl is a mix of the girls from Seed.

You forgot: "Robotech: Rogue Spear" "Robotech: Ghost Recon" I'm sure there will be a tie-in.

Tell us about the Macross Pannel at the Expo.
azrael replied to Roy Focker's topic in Movies and TV Series
Unless it comes under the RT label...I doubt it. Egan has a way of getting footage of various Macross stuff that other people don't have. Most of the time, he just shows his homemade screencaps. -
The real deal with Harmony Gold and DYRL
azrael replied to Apollo Leader's topic in Movies and TV Series
No no no. You got it all wrong. With an HG condom, they gets the sperm that you deposit in the condom. You sign a deal to sell rights to that sperm to HG. They take that sperm, combine it with other sperm and then mix in the eggs to get robobabies. Years later, they come back and tell you they have rights to ALL of your sperm. When you ask for the original copy of the contract, they decline to show it to you. Then after a few years of litigation, it is determined that they only own rights to the sperm that you sold them years ago. Therefore, they can only exploit the sperm that was given to them years ago. That's how an HG condom works.
