You could kinda pick that up in the movie. It was a bit more sutle though. In the scene where Padme is on the patio, Anakin says "It's because I'm so in love with you." After the nightmare, he says "I won't let this happen." He may think he's doing it for her but he's doing it save himself from the pain.
-
Besides for promotional reasons, probably not.

Looks like we've come back to the first set of artists for Gundam SEED. TM Revolution doing the opening and See-Saw doing the ending. No samples yet.

The girl is Shiho. She's in the Astray mangas. Concerning Yzak's group, I have a feeling they will play a roll at the end. I have a feeling they will be the ones who bring Dullindal to justice (like the Clyne faction or anybody else can get close to PLANT). But that's just a feeling.
-
Probably. Unless Neo is a clone.... When he was found, he probably had severe trama. Then 2 years as Neo....

Dullindal is trying to eliminate the resistance. He's trying to create a unified body. Instead of all these little factions here and there, he's trying to united it all under 1 banner. The problem is, it's 1 banner under ZAFT. Instead of unified body made up of individual countries. Instead of making a Galatic Republic, it's becoming a Galactic Empire. He's doing it via a well concieved plan. Turn every one against the strongest faction, then gain control of everything without lifting a finger (no resistance). As a senator from Naboo said, "So this is how democracy ends, with a thunderous applause". What will happen is, he will declare AA as part of LOGOS, i.e. the resistance. A ZAFT force including Minerva will be sent to "silence" the resistance. Someone on AnimeSuki mentioned that Dullindal is making Minerva into Archangel, the "Champions of Peace and Justice". This is a very good point. This is why he editted them out. He's making it look like Impulse and Minerva came in and stopped Destroy when it was actually Freedom and Archangel who saved lots of lives and stopped Destroy. ZAFT couldn't even touch Destroy and they were only there to clean-up the mess. And what better way to become the champions than to erase the true one. He already created his own Lacus. Shinn believes Freedom is a loose cannon, which is bull. He wants revenge. Athrun sees the hate in Shinn's eyes. Shinn and Rey both admit that Freedom is too powerful (wait till they see IJ and SF....). Rey seems to be feeding that hate by agreeing with Shinn and saying that Freedom is not ZAFT so it should be controlled. Heck, Rey even mentioned Heine (who died by Stellar's hand). Looks like the Sith apprentice is making his own apprentice.... People are saying it should be Athrun who fight's Shinn in the end, not Kira. I like that idea. Maybe then the brat will get his ass out of his head. I would love it if Athrun uses all the beam blades of I-Justice and pulls a Kira on Destiny-ala-Saviour. Concerning Mu/Neo... I think having someone fire their positron gun at Archangel should jog some memory. No phsycologist or any record of Mu is going to help him. Trama and 2 years of no contact with anybody from the 3-Ships Alliance...this is gonna take time. Someone posted another synopsis of Episode 34 with something interesting in there to explain why Cagalli jumped (spoilers, highlight to read):

Here are some more alternate synopsis for ep. 34 and 35 from AnimeSuki. (Spoilers, highlight to view)

Yeah he was hitting himself. And the shock of your apprentice turning on you is probably enough. Heck, all of his previous apprentices were whacked by Jedis... I call it 20 years of guilt and denial.... Luke never knew his mother so there was no attachment. And Luke had accepted that Vader wan't a monster but a lost soul. So I don't know if any of that would have worked. The alternative was to use his friends.

They were not levitating. Those were the worker platforms (i.e. platforms with repulsarlifts). Obi-wan was on a worker platform, Anakin on a droid. This is why they were able to float upstream on the lava. Much of it was Sith overconfidence so I won't think about it too much. But if we must.... If he floats it farther upstream, Obi-wan makes a get away. If he floats the platform higher, the platform becomes a liability. Obi-wan can cut it down or he can jump on it and land hard to throw the weight off. Obi-wan was at an advantage at the high ground. edit: I'm sure Obi-wan knew that Anakin would follow him. Unlike Darth Maul, Obi-wan really wasn't taunting him, just telling Anakin, whatever you do, you are at a disadvantage so don't do it.
-
Flying would probably take too much concentration. Levitating themselves would probably fall under flying, i.e. too much concentration. This is probably why they just jump. Also, if your not aware of your surroundings, you might levitate into a ceiling and hit your head, making you lose concentration and well...down you go.

SW universe? What about our universe??? And Vader has done pretty good. He jumped off stairs (low risers too) and landed on his feet, 10... 15 ft to the ground in Empire. Then Luke forced him off the platform that was maybe... 20 ft high and he came up standing. Then in RotJ, Luke kicked him down another set of stairs and he got back up. Vader was doing pretty good as a quadruple amputee with an iron lung all those times.

What might happen is...(spoilers, highlight to read) Legend is intended for Athrun. However, once Athrun defects, Legend goes to Rey. This way, Athrun can get I-Justice.

Oh those Tomino fanboys (even the UC fanboys)....They're so cute when they talk about how those worlds are better. Here are some tidbits, this morning from Flets' SEED site (thanks to the guys at AnimeSuki for the translation).

Speaking of Stealth threads... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=15085 (thankfully it was closed 15 minutes after it was created) It's only less than a week since the last one was closed and then someone else makes one. I think it might be better if the mods just delete any new Stealth thread.

So what's the deal with Morgan (Gunbarrel Dagger pilot)? That's the Astray mangas. I don't think Fukada touches Astray. I think he confines himself to just the anime. If he didn't then we'd have Prayer, Canard, Ed the Ripper and a whole bunch of other people to deal with. Heck, in SEED, we only saw Re H.O.M.E. once.
-
Simply....we don't know. I thought about this exact same thing when Seed was on. But since it was never detailed, I let it remain a mystery. Since you have to factor in the SEED factor (which could lead to Newtype-ism) this becomes questionable. So I left it as the mystery it is. Technically, it is still a fight between Coordinators and Naturals on the whole. Only Mu/Neo, Le Crueset, Rey and Kira exhibit Newtype traits. But even Kira is still in it's early stages. The fight is really just those people as oppose to everybody. In the UC timeline, Newtypes were all over the place. In SEED, it's just those guys. In the end, just to stay consistent, these guys should only be fighting each other. Also in SEED, Mu and Le Crueset are the only known/last Newtypes so I don't see why they should go into explaining that mess. Those will come in Gundam Seed DD and Athrun's Counterattack.

In fact, if Kira didn't go for the weapons, Stellar would have been Nicol'ed. Shinn should be happy he has a body to bury. Shinn will only think "Stellar is dead. Freedom killed her. Freedom must be pwn'ed." Someone has to tell Shinn that killing Freedom doesn't take away the pain of losing family and your girl. And as I see it, Shinn needs to have his ass kicked like Saviour. Someone like that who thinks like that needs to be taught a lesson, the hard way. Concerning EA...I already gave up on them. The enemy now looks like ZAFT. Considering Dullindal is acting like a certain Dark Lord of the Sith and Shinn is acting like a certain apprentice to that dark lord.... Concerning Mu/Neo and Murrue....This one, I hope ends happily. Murrue has a second chance with the man who makes the impossible possible. As for a Gundam for Neo/Mu....I think he'll take Andy's Murasame, but he needs his own Gundam. Preferably, something with gunbarrels, or Lacus can steal the specs for a DRAGOON system, give it to ORB, and have them build Mu/Neo a special Gundam...Or just recycle Freedom and give it to Mu/Neo. Would you believe they built their own Freedom? I think you should read Destiny Astray... EGX-00 Testament Gundam

I think Liam Nesson was suppose to do a voice over. He would have been doing "Kingdom of Heaven" and "Batman Begins" at the time so there's no way they can call him off set. However they could have sent out few people to do a voice over. Voice overs are easy. Heck, they did James Earl Jones' lines in a day. Just give him that 1 page of lines and your done.

Everytime someone says this a group delays it 1 more hour. Point of this? It will come out when it comes out. I have seen it come out subbed as early as Sunday or as late as Thursday. It will come when it comes. If you really can't wait, watch it raw or with Chinese subs.

live action 'neon genesis evangelion' movie
azrael replied to arrow's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
WETA is still doing design sketches. So far, there are no studios that have shown a commitment. http://www.wetaworkshop.co.nz/projects/fil...lm/neon_genesis -

I don't know if you can say Shinn caused the death of all those civilians. That's a stretch, a rational stretch but a stretch, nonetheless. The fault really goes back to Stellar. Shinn should have realized Stellar was a weapon. He's not to blame for seeing the human side and being compassionate. But the part that didn't click for Shinn was the realization that Stellar is weapon. She stopped being a victim long ago. He just sees his girl. He doesn't realize what Stellar was in the eyes of the enemy. Shinn may or may not have been responsible for the death of civilians, but the point is, he was responsible for Stellar.

The best comparison fro Kira vs Stellar is Freedom vs. Gaia. And we know what happened there. I'm gonna write this episode to plot. It really serves the plot so there are a bunch of problems. Beyond that, meh. But to indulge myself...Freedom was doing a hit-and-evade tactic. Then he had to deal with Chaos and Neo. Shinn just went straight in. He didn't have to deal with Sting or Neo. Edit:. flets.gundam-seed.net has the listing up for next week's episode (Spoilers, translated from Seed-Forums): My earlier statement remains. Revenge isn't the answer. Shinn is shares the fault of Stellar's fate just as much as Kira does and Neo/EA do. The problem is, he doesn't see it. He does think ahead nor does he reflect/analyze what he does. Oh well.... And it looks like one of those crazy Chinese rumors was true, either that or he's really faking it...

I would also like to see an extended cut. Lucas did mention that the focus needed to stay on Anakin (mentioned in the Ep. 3 easter eggs on the official site) and, in a sense, I'm gonna have to agree. But it would have been nice if we had all of those scenes in there to flesh out the other characters.
