They are also used in energy deflection armor, used to form beam sabers, spread viruses (In Astray, Mirage Colloid was used to spread computer viruses, but this usage never caught on, but one of the applications of this was the DRAGOON system), etc. So MCs are like the Minosky particles from the UC world. I find it somewhat excessive to plug in a power cord of that size just to do maintanence. Concerning Anti-ship swords. From what I've heard (and from what I've hear of Gai's big sword), they are coated with the anti-beam coating. So they can be used against beam blades (at least the sharpen edges, not the backing). Why did the Excaliber pierce a Phase-shifted Freedom? I think of it this way: Think of Phase-Shift as a kevlar-lined plate-mail. It's good enough to stop bullets, shrapnel, or light cuts with a blade, etc.... But happens when to throw lots of force behind a bigger blade, like a sword? That body armor ain't going to do nothing to stop the other guy from running his sword through you. When Miguel used the sword against Strike, he was performing a slash. There really isn't a lot of force behind that blow and the spread of force was the entire blade, and had a greater area of effect. With that blow, the PS armor could repel the hit. So the PS armor saved them. Now what did Shinn do with the Excaliber? He engaged full speed and rammed Freedom with the sword. The amount of force concentrated at that one small point was significantly greater than the amount of forced used when Miguel slashed Strike. There was much more force behind that one thrust as oppose to the slash. I'm guessing this is why he could stab Freedom. PS armor is good blocking explosions, bullets, slashes, things where the force is distributed or can be distributed. But when faced with a force that cannot be distributed easily like a full-speed ram with a sword, PS/TP armor fails. With plate-armor, it was good enough to resist slashes, blunt objects, blah blah blah, but what happened when someone stabbed him with a sword? The plate didn't hold and the sword went through. Same idea with Impulse's Excaliber vs. Freedom. That's my $0.02 on that problem.

Translation of the model info (thanks to Seed forum & AnimeSuki): Again, still doesn't tell me why they need to be plugged in when the thing runs hybrids with a nuclear reactor. Unless a nuclear reactor doesn't provide suffcient output for Destiny.... Maybe it works like a hybrid car engine? Uses battery for the most part, but switches to nuclear in instance where more juice is required... Anybody got any other ideas?

Well, either way, most of those guys aren't from the Atlantic Feds. Some info from the Destiny model kit concerning Destiny: It still doesn't answer my question about what the heck Deutrion is....Interesting that the Wings of Light are another Mirage colloid effect.... So...is Shinn going to tell Luna that only his new "powers" can save her from dying?
-
Eurasia. The funny thing about life, things have a way of not turning out like you hope.... Whether she pilot it or not, it is something Uzumi left for his daughter to take care of. Yeah...like episodes 12 thru 34.... Shinn didn't say he would protect Luna...He said he would protect Impulse... Luna is the Emma Sheen of Destiny. She's gonna die. Or have something bad happen to her... Unfortunately...it hasn't been said if Destiny and Legend are nuclear powered. It would be helpful to know what Deutrion is, unless they engrished Deuterium, which is used for fusion. Which still doesn't explain why they're plugged in if they use a nuclear reactor. I don't think those things are fuel lines either. The only thing we do know is Dullindal hid Destiny's true abilities by giving it a 2nd stage MS number (i.e. like Impulse, Gaia, Saviour, etc).

They'll probably re-pack it in the slim cases. I doubt they'll cram the episodes on the discs though. They'll probably keep the 9-disc format...but who knows.

Although I don't know if you can compare ranks between naval and army... edit: nevermind.

Tell that to the animators ... (Taken from episode 37) Apparently, Legend uses Virtual PC or VMware....First it uses the old one, then it looks like it switches to the new one (of course, Legend and Destiny use the same cockpit layout) And like I mentioned earlier... someone care to explain why Destiny and Legend are plugged in? Agreed. Flay is different from Luna. Flay turned Kira's promise into a guilt trip. Luna just isn't thinking straight. Not to mention she bought the lie about Athrun and about him "twisting" Meyrin. One of the magazines pointed out if there was any real love with Luna x Shinn. I'll have to say no. It's a relationship but there's no real attachment, no love, in there. edit: Now that I think about it, Uzumi wasn't a pacifist. Otherwise, he would not have allowed the creation of the Astrays. He was a hypocrite because he allowed the Gundam project to take place on ORB territory via a 3rd-party (Morgenroete, Inc), which goes against ORB's ideals (no conquering others, no involvement in other countries affiars, no toleration of invasion of ORB). You can't have #3 without weapons. He didn't like to fight but that didn't he he couldn't fight.

It might be a bright target, but it is also a symbol. Just as Hyaku Shiki was a symbol of the AEUG's defiance to the Titans. Should Akatsuki be destroyed, Cagalli becomes a martyr. Dullindal wants to stop the war. So does Cagalli. What does that mean if one person wants to kill the other when both are trying to achieve the same goal? Is dying for a cause you believe in so bad? Christians died for their faith (Although, in the end, the lions were the happy ones, one could argue ) She's doing what she believes to be the right thing. It may be futile, it may be a fools errand, but in the end, she's satisfied with her actions. Sometimes, sitting on the side is not enough for people. That's just symbolism. Once thing to note about Destiny and Legend....They have power cords during their launch....why? Legend also seems to use the same OS as Impulse, Chaos, Gaia, Saviour and Abyss.....

Or he goes to ORB, catches a plane ride to the Moon. Either way Djibril ain't staying on Earth...period. Remember, After LOGOS, ORB is the only other force left that could stand up to Dullindal. Just because it's dated, doesn't mean it still isn't a force to be taken lightly. Look at Freedom. It is certainly dated and it still cause havoc. It was only after someone decided to come up with a plan/scheme to take it down, that it was taken down. Of course, Cagalli ain't as good of a pilot as Kira....Kira needs to teach Cagalli some Jedi tricks... Lacus is also a hypocrite. Building a small army up there on Eternal... They're just hoping and preaching for the best...but expecting the worst. The "Just-in-case" clause. Lacus even admits to being a hypocrite. Watch the last 2 episodes of GS. Her fate would be no different than those soldiers who fight for her.

I like the new opening. But that was after listening to it so many times trying to re-encode a copy of episode 38 over the weekend. It doesn't fit the flow of the animation some what but it's a nice change for a male vocal ("Pride" really let me down) Besides the standard specs? 1 beam rifle, CIWS, shield? Nope. Now let's update you guys over here (Spoilers for episode 39-42): Those EA ships were actually the Eurasian Federation. This time, Eurasia turned on the Atlantic Federation. Quite powerful. It is Dullindal's "trump card". So nice to be back...I was getting quite frustrated with AnimeSuki's crowd or should I say, lack of thought....

Correction: Kamen Rider Black RX

A new series will eventually come out next year. Just wait for further announcements from Toei. Hibiki still has another 1/2 a year to go. By July/August, we should hear some rumors coming out about the next series.

They said it would be someone unexpected...Meyrin is about as unexpected as we can get. Heck, she's stripping in front of Athrun in the preview...Everybody thought it would be Kisaka or Lacus, or Luna/Meer (well Meer does tell Athrun...), or Talia..but no one thought about Meyrin. As for Sting...the rule of thumb is, we didn't see them die then they aren't dead. Chaos was cut in half but we never saw Sting's reaction. Of course, it could be Destiny's version of Rosamia in Destroy.
-
Time for spoilers! (highlight to read) (Thanks to the kids at AnimeSuki) Comments: It's comfirmed. Meyrin jumps ship with Athrun. We have our Reccoa Londe. I guess Shinn has embraced the "Dark Side". He's gonna try to shoot down Athrun (Obi-Wan). Hopefully Meyrin doesn't die. I like her. And EA has another Destroy....At least now it didn't seem like it's appearence was wasted the last time. Too bad it doesn't last this time...god dang it. And Luna definitely feels like Emma/Fa in this. If Meyrin survives, guess Luna was fooled. I wonder...If Kira is using Strike Rouge for the time being, is he gonna use the IWSP? This would be a good oppurtunity for it. Cagalli will probably smack the crap out of Kira if he gets this MS destroyed... So I guess we have a showdown in ORB again.....great. And it's official, Shinn has become Darth Vader. Also "vestige" has played and word is, it has the same feel as "Meteor". edit: Confirmed. These are the ones from Gundam Ace.

I definitely like the updated look to the original riders. It feels like they're really wearing armor as opposed to the jumpsuit and rubber parts slapped on it.

Actually, they would have brought in Sayla in Zeta. Unfortunately, Ms. Inoue was busy during the production of Zeta so they couldn't call her in. So they pushed her to ZZ. Bring back Sai....nah. Anyways, his seiyuu (Tetsu Shiratori) is working on a movie so they were lucky to even get him to narrate a recap episode.

That's his ego and his arrogance talking. And it's inflated to a point where even I would punched him. I've met a few people like that...and I would have punched them too if they gloated that much in my face. Again, if someone did that to you, eventually he/she would hit the right buttons and even you would throw a punch. It's human nature. Even if Athrun uses Stellar as a comeback, Shinn will come back and say he was never charged with anything so that makes him (Shinn) right. As I said earlier, Shinn has never been told he was wrong. Everytime, he's had some justification that what he did was right. If you've never been told you were wrong, then you will think that all you ever do is right. What situation with Athrun? Of course, Shinn can't see beyond his own problems in the first place.
-
Using the excuse that Shinn was only doing his job was not the reason Athrun punched him. Shinn gloated over his win with Athrun. Athrun was walking away as Shinn opened his big mouth. That's when Athrun turned around and "corrected" Shinn. Sure Shinn was doing his job, but his now inflated ego is now looking down on Athrun. That's arrogance. It was Shinn who walked up to Athrun and told him off. Athrun smacked the attitude, not the soldier. Even Rey, who only reinforces that attitude, pulled Shinn away and apologized for Shinn's attitude. Dullindal only reinforced that attitude by giving Shinn Destiny. If someone "killed" your friend, gloated about it and rubbed it in your face, how would you feel? What Shinn got from Athrun, he didn't deserve that. He deserved something much worst than just a punch. Death would be an easy way out for Shinn. Shinn deserves to live but he needs to live with eternal guilt and suffering. Then, I would feel justified. Yzak and Dearka were there because unlike the rest of ZAFT, they knew something was not right. Attacking LOGOS is a bad idea. Yzak and Dearka will probably join the Clyne faction but they'll do it by taking care of Dullindal or by taking care of those following Dullindal, IMO. They'll be useful at the end.
-
Shinn doesn't need to die. He needs to be a vegatiative state for the rest of his life where he is consumed by the fact he did nothing right. Freedom did not go boom. Kira was a bright boy and hit the escape button (see attached). And Shinn needs more of those Bright-Noa-style "corrections". One ain't enough. One for every kill should do it.

You do know the lower leg rotates on a SV-51, right? In the first pic you posted, the SV-51 is in GERWALK mode, were the legs don't rotate. In Battroid mode, the legs rotate such that the knees bend the "correct" way. In the original pic you posted, the gunpod barrel is pointed down, which is correct when transforming from Fighter to GERWALK. Since the leg rotates in Battroid mode, the gunpod moves to the "outside" of the leg. So there is absolutely nothing wrong with that pic.
-
Actually...That looks like the gunpod on the left.... Could I get the episode # and time please. I'll check later.

Yep. Looking at the MG Strike Rouge would be the best example. http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN929450 Notice on the left shoulder that it has the lion emblem with the number "210?" In Destiny, Strike Rouge doesn't have the "210" notation on it. It just has a enlarged Lion emblem with ORB on it. Also, I don't think Strike Rouge had a MSiA version of it put out. Why do I get the feeling the Clyne Faction "acquired" Gaia from ZAFT.... And yeh, Neo/Mu looks like he's going to pilot Andy's Murasame. If they can modify that MS with some gunbarrels, then that would be fun.

Just coincidence....

Infinite Justice is fine the the weapon category. I-J's weaponry is really geared toward close-quarter combat. S-Freedom is geared more toward medium/long-range combat. This would make I-J very dangerous to fight in a sword fight. Even if you block the dual-bladed beam saber Athrun likes to use, you have to worry about the huge beam boomerang/shield beam saber. Then you have the beam blades in the wings of the flight pack. Then you have to worry about the flight pack. That probably runs on a DRAGOON system now. Of course, those are the weapons we can visibly see.
