A VF's thermonuclear engines don't work exactly how we think they do thanks to Overtechnology. http://www.anime.net/macross/story/encyclo...tion/index.html They may not even produce that much radioactivity.

Actually, the story I heard was he got f-ed over by his girlfriend big time, got real depressed, and started doing drugs... 316855[/snapback] I think the best answer is, his real life took precedence and he left. The End.

Official Gundam Plamodel Thread
azrael replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Okay, I can scrap my plans on getting a Mk. II and get this now. Any reason why a ver. 2 is being released? Is this a reissue or a resculpt for the Zeta movies? Or is it the same just fixes to the original version? -
Did you watch the mini series? Did you look up the old BSG series? Did you google Battlestar Galactica? Do you know how to use Google? What points about the backstory do you not know about or not understand that haven't been addressed?

From what I've heard in spoilers about Helo... (potential spoilers, highlight to read)

Considering we've had 10 threads on the subject (still in the database, http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...ndpost&p=311830 ), I think I can understand Roy's attitude on the subject. Oh, and who said anything about free speech around here? This is a dictatorship. -
Definitely. Losing 2 guys broke him. He was already losing it after the crash. Two graves added enough weight to break the shell.

Or did you get that file from a P2P network?

where did you get the file?

There is not such thing as "Raw Gundam Seed Destiny" (now now, we don't need comments from the peanut gallery.... ). It's "Gundam Seed Destiny" raw, as in raw anime or anime without subs. Are you using Windows or Mac OS? Do you have the proper codecs installed (Divx or Xvid)? What media player are you using? You didn't know? The hope was that there would be some character development in this episode but that didn't happen.

Downloading ep. 41 raw right now....From the people who've seen it already, Athrun's half is worth a listening to. Otherwise, nothing new. Come back next week. Oh and they've put in IJ, SF, Akatsuki and Legend release it's DRAGOONs in the opening. Kira's half is boring. Go ahead and skip the episode if you want. edit: More little things: the coloring of SF and IJ's joints are brighter in the opening. Preview for next week shows the DOMs landing and a patched Athrun going out.

Anti-UN? Best just to read the back story... http://www.anime.net/macross/story/chronol...1999/index.html As for why M0 is sitting quiet on the shelf... As said, OVAs are minimally promoted these days. Production values are much higher given the lower episode count. This is why they can afford more work and a looser production schedule. OVAs are not as big as they use to be anymore. There's more dedication to TV series or feature-length movies. The direct-to-video line has died down over the years due to marketing concerns. Looser production values can lead to tighter marketing. Many series are heading to TV land to offset the figures. And as Keith stated, M0 is fairly recent and unlicensed in the US (due to certain legal ramifications) so very few people have seen it. It's not easy to obtain through normal means. With the toy line, Yamato is moving away from Macross toy line. They do have licenses for toys however, they have yet to fully exploit it. Over the last year, we have heard of a decreasing amount of news from Yamato concerning the Macross toy line. Macross, unfortunately, with time as a factor, has fallen into a smaller niche. With a larger gap between series, decrease in marketing, and the creators moving (and quite busy, working) on other projects, it is very hard for them to get together and continue the franchise. Don't think that this is the end though. Macross will be around for quite a while, but don't expect news to come out every month from your favorite anime-related magazine about it.

You do know that posting Man-Faye qualifies as cruel and unusual punishment right?
-
Can we get back on the subject of why Minmei is a whore? Or why Scott seems to have grown younger in this series compared to Mospeada?
-
M7 will recap the chronologically important highlights from SDF Macross and DYRL?.
-
Ditto.

Yeah...but I doubt the anime laws of economics could allow that. But we already have a solution for GS/GSD...beam shields or an "Armure Lumiere" lightwave barrier (but that's just a beam shield)

The patch won't be out for a while. Sorry. Because, unfortunately, people tend to see games, in general, as stuff for kids. Movies are treated differently due to culture and yadda yadda yadda. The last time I walked into a EB Games store, what did I see? Some kids, some mature people, and some kids with their parents. Although I haven't been to a TRU in almost...2 years the last time I was there, they were selling the console games along with the kid's stuff in there. You have to provide a clear distinction between games and toys. For now, I just don't see that because this culture associates games with toys. Of course, you can sit here and think about the why, how, and what, but that's one possible reason and a overview of your answer.

And I thought it would be a quiet night... Since you bring it up, Akatsuki is coated with a "mirror coating" on it's armor, not anti-beam coating (which is probably on it's shield). This coating allows it to reflect (not refract like Forbidden's Geschmeidig Panzer or absorb like a regular shield) energy weapons. When I say reflect, I mean take a laser pointer or flashlight and shine it directly at a mirror. If you change the angle you change the angle of reflection, blah blah blah. How much wear and tear it can take is unknown. Anti-beam coating, which is used on shields, is prone to wear-and-tear (ex: Yzak blocking Forbidden's shots with his shield). This is more like a space shuttle's heat protection tiles. With enough energy, a anti-beam coating can be rendered useless (like Strike Rouge blocking that shot from the Gunner Zaku). It's not like Phase shift, it's more like polish, so to speak. Phase Shift works by nullifying the impact. Anti-beam coating just absorbs it. It doesn't nullify the impact.

If ORB was being beaten, then Shinn wouldn't have gone out. But ORB was pushing back, so he went out. If Cagalli opened her mouth, Shinn would have forced his way off Minerva screamin kill kill kill. From Gunota: And some potential spoilers

Shinn is part of FAITH now. The only person he listens to is Palp...I mean Dullindal. And Shinn has has his fill of BS from ORB so unless the good Sith Lo...I mean the Chairman was right there barking orders, Shinn will just say screw you.
