Isn't that Space Gundam V?
-
Yeah, still the same crappy story. But at least it ended the series on a better note than the original final episode. That's all I can say.

Required readings: http://macross.anime.net/fallacies/errata/robotech_faq/ Optional readings: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=153 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=11370 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=10860 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=11578 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=140 I'd won't class Robotech with Evangelion or Akira. Those 2 were pure Japanese products. Robotech is a semi-Japanese/mostly U.S. product. As JB0 said, I doubt it will ever gain its fame back. It was big in its time but not anymore.

Final Plus is out, or at least it has aired. It should pop up at the usual places in a while. This is a 40-minute episode so it will take a tad longer to encode. As for what happened....I don't know but they rewrote part of episode 50 for starters. Edit: Now that I've watched it. Think of this as the director's cut of Episode 50. They fixed most of the bugs of the original (i.e the infamous reappearing Freedom) and rewrote/added some elements in there. It still ends the same way, just the stopping point in this goes to a few months past the original ending. Still doesn't make up for a poor time-management season. Better luck with the next series.

Actually, Gunota says "Sunrise has greenlit a 3rd Gundam SEED work". Which means we don't know if it's going to be a TV or OAV, when it's coming or whose attached or what it will be about. For all we know, it might be an animated Astray OAV. All we know is, more Seed will be coming to our TVs/monitors.

I think I need to go and get some chrome paint. Gonna need to file down the V-fin and rabbit ears as well. Seriously....I want a 1/100 Akatsuki. HG or MG. I don't care. And I want both packs as well. -
It's a behind-the-scenes look that will air before the winter season starts.

If you are gonna spray with enamels, then yes, you need proper ventilation. If you spray with acrylics, semi-ventilated is okay, if you use a water solution (water + Windex or other medium) or rubbing alchohol. The joy with acrylics is you don't need paint thinner to thin it out. You can use some less toxic thinners -

I'd also recommend purchasing an air compressor. Even though the cans are cheaper, in the end, you'll spend about the more for cans as opposed to using a compressor. Mr. Hobby is not cheap judging by the prices on ebay. The ones listed in F360°'s post are decent and are a much better bargain than Mr. Hobby. Granted Mr. Hobby is probably better than those bargin airbrushes, but $120+ for an airbrush is an investment for an airbrush. -
MEMO1DOMINION, you can turn the caps lock off....

Unlike Animeigo....ADV doesn't have Egan around to smack them when they make an error.

If all the black parts will be gold plated, then there really isn't much painting needed. Looks like most of the work will be the shield and small details. They need to make a 1/100 for Akatsuki. -

Akatsuki will probably get it's gold plating in production. But that looks like one of the final test runs. Not bad. I definitely will be picking that up (Dammit I want a 1/100 with both packs). Maybe someone will repaint Akatsuki with black after seeing that. The Nemo is looking good. That one will also be entering my collection. -
I can hear the infamous Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice now....

From JB0, Italian authorities decided to freeze the Swiss account of Agarama. Berlusconi will most likely get tax fraud if it holds true. If Agrama is included as an accomplice, then he might be subject to money laundering problems. There probably is some tax evasion problems in there as well but we will just have to wait and see if any indictments come down.

The MG RGM-79 GM is a good starter kit. It's not terribly complicated. Also it's based off the ver. 1 MG RX-78-2, so expect lots of parts to not be what they should. There is no way to make the joints more poseable since the kit is based of the ver. 1 MG RX-78-2. The core block is definitely loose, but given that it was based off the first MG, don't expect much. The best way to lock it down is to glue it. I have built the kit so I know of most of the problems associated with it. -

The OYW Gundam is more articulate and more detailed than ver 1.5. They also removed the core-fighter for the articulation. http://211.233.38.221/dalong/mg/m78/m78_p.htm -

Yeah, shields are useless in the UC world. But for the OYW, both sides were still using kinetic weaponry, so to speak. The 90mm/100mm and the Zaku's 120mm cannons were still the primary weaponry for many troops. A shield would still be very useful against that weaponry. Even if the shield would break apart, it would still provide you with some protection. Most likely, the shield was placed on the right to provide the gun arm protection as stated above. The left arm only provided support while the right carried the majority of the weaponry. Concerning the PG GP01/-FB, it does come with parts for both GP01 and GP01-Fb. You can only have 1 version at a time, however. -

Jackson's next is "The Lovely Bones", based on the book by Alice Sebold, which is scheduled for 2007. At the same time, he's working on "Halo". Rumor has it that will be director. But we're still waiting for the final word. So we're looking at 2008 at the earliest for "The Hobbit".

I find it easier to do principal painting on the spure. Especially large areas. Small parts, I find harder to paint when separated and if the part is detailed on both sides, I find it easier to paint while still connected to the spure. Less chance I'll touch the painted part. I can do the finer details when I cut it out. -
Yep. It's next weekend. Patience my young padawans.
