  1. Whenever it's ready. It just depends. Announcements could be 6 months out. They could be 3 months out from premiere. It just depends. And since you are asking on a Macross-specific site, the answer is, "No one knows." If you're holding your breathe for some kind of announcement, I would suggest finding a way to oxygenate your blood cuz you'll be holding your breathe for a long time.
  2. *switches Lurker-mode back on"
  3. I actually liked Mon Mothma's story in Andor. 'Said that early on. As much as Luthen is the lone-wolf person, he is behind-the-scenes. He has no political capital to spend to rally other cells behind the cause. The other cells will do what they want to do just as he does with his group. Eventually, the Rebellion would need a political figure-head that all Rebel cells eventually rally under. And that's Mon Mothma.
  4. Yes I know. They came out back in August/September. Besides the performance and efficiency improvements, the main selling point was the AI features (it's in the name), which don't have a true definitive benchmark test nor have feature that's taking advantage of it at the moment. I don't see an upgrade to the Ally X coming out before Spring 2025. Unless Asus wants to sunset the the original Ally ASAP. Maybe in 2026. Compute-wise, there isn't any real generational leap in the forecast. Me neither. Which is, honestly, to be expected. Right now, we need software to play catch-up. It will be transformative in that AI workloads may finally see some fruition in everyday compute but hardware? Probably not except for generational uplifts. Nothing revolutionary. Only evolutionary.
  5. AI hardware is nice and all, but game developers are still a couple of years away from actually taking advantage of said hardware. Much like ray-tracing and DLSS, game developers have to implement the coding on their side. Stuff in production now probably won't use too much AI. Stuff in the pipeline to be released a few years for now will probably be able to use the AI hardware (in something besides frame gen, which is handled by the GPU). Probably. The lowest I would expect it to go would be 15% ($694) but that might require patience to get closer to Christmas when retailers drop prices to increase their year-end sales numbers.
  6. Outside of those weekly 2 hours, do you use it in other longer sessions? Or just burst playing when bored? Like you said, it's quality-of-life improvements. Otherwise, it's the same device (same APU, same screen). Also, how much of a Black Friday deal will it be? The base unit is on sale for $700 right now at Best Buy. If a Black Friday deal can beat that, sure.
  7. SEED came out during the period as CG and drawing tablet screens started replacing physical animation materials. This was still a time where they did it on physical materials, then scanned in. Nowhere near where it is now where there's practically no paper/cels (i.e, in reverse now; done in the computer and then printed out for reference & QC)
  8. I'm sure you're right, but I don't know who has watched what at this point or how much any of us remember what happened in these shows. I only watched clips of Secret Invasion and only caught the last 2(?) episode(s) so my recollection of that show is sparse.
  9. And The Falcon And the Winter Soldier mini-series (which you can also read a spoiler review).
  10. How close are you sitting to it? If it's the standard arm-length when sitting upright, I'd say curved. If you're farther back, you could probably do flat. Also, what's the curve rating on the curved model? (Or just post the model number)
  11. Some food for thought regarding anime streaming on Netflix (and maybe on some other streaming platforms). "Payment Is Reluctant": Netflix Faces Joint Backlash From Over 90 Anime Producers for Lack of Royalties (CBR.com)
  12. 'Also will likely refrain from commenting every week and will let the show go till the end. Since Andor was a slow-burner and this show may/may not be the same, I'm not gonna jump on the troll train and say "BOOOOOOO" or whatever every week before this show ends. If something comes up in a certain episode that flags my attention, I may point it out, but otherwise, I'll let this show run its course.
  13. Putting this show in the wait-&-see pile. Wasn't too interested in the concept and still not really interested but maybe being a more for-kids-oriented show may work more in its favor. Maybe not. May it have a good story...
  14. I won't expect them to receive any calls about disc cracking this early. Disc cracking usually occurs over time, popping the discs in and out from the holder. Amazon has a 5-pack of blank cases for $13 (Cheaper if you look for it on AliExpress or Temu).
  15. 🤨😒 Yeah, still content with not pulling the trigger on this release. Reviewer also said he had a difficult time removing the discs (potential for disc cracking if not careful).
  16. No news. No need to go on endlessly with this thread. When there's news, this thread will be reopened.
  17. That's Kunio Okawara-lineart for you. Still-image on a paper page? It's passable. But once you move to animation or models, his lineart falls apart and suffers terribly from disproportionate parts (I ranted about this a few pages back when SEED Freedom came out ☝️). His lineart really isn't good for models or animation. It's just awful.
  18. Yes, we'll save that discussion for a Gundam forum or Gundam mech thread. But yes, Project Zeta produced many "happy little accidents" for Anaheim.
  19. Think of it as if ReGZ and Methuss had a kid. ReZEL (Which literally stands for Refine Zeta Gundam Escort Leader) has all the refinements of ReGZ (weapons loadout plus a fully laid out MS vs Methuss's janky MS design) married to Methuss' transformation.
  20. The series begins about a couple of weeks after the events of The Batman. Gotham is still cleaning up the flood water and is a metaphor for the events in the underworld now that Falcone is dead. There is a flood of potentials into the scene to take over the Falcone empire from The Penguin to Sophia Falcone (Cristin Milioti) to Salvatore Maroni (Clancy Brown).
  21. Then don't buy it. No one is pointing a gun to your head to buy this release. While I may buy this release, I'm not buying the Macross Plus set cuz I'm not paying $200 for stuff I don't want (yes, you can coupon it but it doesn't change the fact it comes with stuff I have ZERO interest in). I'm fine with that choice.
  22. $89.99 for Zero vs $189.99 for Plus. 🤨 Talk about a price difference....
  23. Consoles have somewhat started becoming more of HTPCs so some folks have opted to use them as more of "entertainment" console. That being said... I heard this PS5 Pro was coming. 67% price increase for what looks to be a minor spec bump or the equivalent of a higher spec SKU. Yikes. It probably makes no sense to upgrade if you already have a earlier-gen PS5. But even as a new-purchase, you could probably build a equal or better HTPC.
