1. A good amount of people died. But enough survived only to be used in the Spiritia farm.
2. In fact most of the anime on TV is for kids. People seem to forget that...Of course, it also goes with the fact that people think that there's some realism in Macross....The instant you see transforming planes and giant robots moving faster than 90-year-old grandma, check realism at the door. Oh wait...people have no imagination these days. But enough of my ranting. Hey, the twins are balanced with the bridge bunnies. On one end, you have 2 cheerful, cute, and lovely ladies running a carrier, and on the other you have 2 ugly, laughing, deformed and overgrown Zentradi who can blow up carriers....
3. I should note that SDFM was a parody of all giant robot shows of the time. Hikaru is even your random 16 year-old kid who got dumped into a giant transforming robot... BTW, Keith...fix your quotes. Don't know. Probably because it was one of the 1st songs to actually use a duet between Yoshiki Fukuyama and Chie Kajiura.
4. Here's a list of his appearences: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encycloped...ople.php?id=699 He will be missed.
5. Yeh well, kids these days....
6. Sorry...had my curry fix for the next few months...But thanks for the idea for lunch.
7. Yes, most of the shows on that list are 1990s-present. Macross is down there at 59. Yamato is in the 60s. It's not a top 100 of all time poll so don't stare at it too much.
8. I don't see how ADV how ADV has any greater reach than Funimation. Besides TV (cable or broadcast), neither one IMHO, has any clear advantage. Unless we get down to the finances issue.
9. No. Guld did not appear. It's not surprising if M7 was well received since it was on broadcast TV compared to being sold as an OAV. Unfortunately, I have no sales data to compare the 2 series.
10. For those of you that think Perfect grade or any other grade is too small: http://search.japantimes.co.jp/mail/nb20060804a3.html Is this big enough for you????
11. We know... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...ndpost&p=421962
12. No... they earn the nomination for dumbest comments in a thread.
13. Yeh well...that's because we've keep the talk reasonable.
14. It was shown at a theater which was near the Cannes festival...and it wasn't in the festival. So in reality... no one saw it. The only ones to see it were industry agents, who obviously did not want to pick it up for distribution. WTH???? So how many people were in the audience??? Like 10? When he says "industry attendees"... that tells me that no one has seen it. And 'public screening" my ass. "Industry attendees" are not the public. They don't open their mouths because they are the ones who want to buy the distrubution rights to films and are trying to out bid one another.
15. *snip* 421964 *yawn*
16. That's still rumor. The best idea for Penguin is to use the current motif of the "Legitimate Businessman". Otherwise, I don't see Penguin as a good villian. The current talk is on who is gonna play Harvey Dent since we have a DA position that just became open.
17. I would consider "The Dark Knight" a working title. Originally, Batman Begins was called "Batman: Intimidation Game". Sure threw us a curve....
18. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=19053 Keep wishing. (see thread)

20. There isn't much history behind those paint schemes. They started as unofficial paint schemes that were published way back. People liked them and now we have kits for them.
21. Actually, Macross does fairly well. But the target market size is much smaller than say...Gundam.
22. Hardest substance known to man 420400 Are you sure it was rice crispy squares? Even with the weight Monster on it? Now if you said 100 year old fruit cake...then I'd believe you.
23. Crap...forgot to order it. The Capt. Harison re-paint......Everything looks good until we get to the feet....Yellow feet just doesn't ring with me.
24. That's the most likely case. The M5 fleet probably won't have broadcasted that they found a suitable planet to colonize if they didn't send in a survey party before hand.
25. Thankfully someone mirrored it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqqQ0F4OEys In case YouTube brings that one down, here's the thread from Superhero Hype.com http://www.superherohype.com/forums/showthread.php?t=243793
